Haven’t been able to find a good sushi restaurant other than my regular spot. Gave sushi garden a try and really liked it! They were even able to recreate my favorite roll that wasn’t on there menu!

I love the food here I and I love to come in and dine in but the customer service is pretty bad. I’m a waiter myself I have a bunch of patience and I’m never rude, I know the struggle of being a server. But cmon… Some of the ladies that serve are super nice but a lot of them are very inattentive and rude! I’d understand if it was busy but it wasn’t. At all. Today I came in with a friend and all our waitress did was take our order and gave us our check an hour later. I had to get up just to ask for a water refill, no chopsticks when our food was dropped off even though we had asked for some before and when I politely asked for the tab our server just rolled her eyes at me???

Sushi garden is the best sushi restaurant in town. Always fresh and tasty. My favorite sushi chef is Mr Jack. He’s always happy and he makes reeeaally good food. Definitely recommended. So if you’re in town or just want to take your girlfriend, boyfriend, partner, wife or even your kids. That’s the place to go. Sushi on!

This place is excellent. Everything I have tried here has not disappointed. I always order sushi rolls or sashimi, recently I’ve been hooked on the bento boxes. For a decent price you get a ton of mouth watering food. You can choose between 2 – 3 items and it comes with soup, salad with miso. The udon bowls are delicious as well. I recommend this for a great lunch or dinner

Ordered food ahead and went to pick it up. Gave me the wrong order. I’m a vegetarian and ate half of it just to realize there was meat in it. To anyone who doesn’t eat meat knows how sick a mistake like this can make you. I called explaining the situation. I received a refund but no apology? Some people don’t realize how much a simple apology can rectify a bad situation. Easy mixup but tell that to my stomach

I ordered two complete meals to go. I was specific on the phone that I wanted one chicken and one beef teriyaki dinner. When I arrived home I realized that they gave me a complete chicken dinner but the beef dinner was just the beef. Furthermore the teriyaki beef was sitting on a large pile of shredded cabbage and was not very much beef. I called to complain and she kept me on hold for 10 min. After she came back on the phone she was rude and said there was nothing they could do. I would have liked her to try and make some amends but that was not the case. I will not be patronizing them again. To make matters worse I found a hair in the chicken dinner. Yuck!

I was just visiting the project site there and my friend took me to this restaurant that day. The food there is fresh and big size, which is great! I like the lunch box there-highly cost effective。 And the Sashimi is tasty as well! 去沃森维尔考察项目,当地朋友带着去的。东西量大,良心价!我很喜欢他们的午餐套装。点了暴多都吃不完~~刺身新鲜又大块!

Good food but the service is AWFUL, the waiters and waitresses are total snobs, and never come around to check on you after your food has been served. I could literally walk out and they wouldn’t notice

The food is great! All ingredients are generally fresh and are the perfect proportion sizes. The only thing that is disappointing is the service. The wait staff is not friendly at all. Nobody smiles or makes you feel welcome. Instead you feel rushed and like you are taking up space rather than being a welcomed guest. Nobody really returns to check up on you. That’s why I have stopped dining in. I think once the owner hires qualified, friendlier, and knowledgeable wait staff the place will be much better. Also the building tends to have a lot of plumbing issues. The last time my Sister and I were having lunch there we got whiff of an awful smell. They even relocated us to another part of the restaurant. We later found out that the toilet backed up which explained the raw sewage smell. The owner was nice enough to give everyone their meals for free but I really hope they address their plumbing problems as well as hire a better wait staff. Once that’s addressed I won’t have a reason to visit any other Japanese Restaurant.

I’ve almost always had very bad service when coming here but it’s less expensive than other places and you get free edemame. Numerous times I’ve waited 20 minutes just to get drinks and they forgot to bring me edemame a few times but my most recent visit I had a very nice waitress. I wish I could remember her name. It was an Asian name and I’m horrible at remembering how to spell them but she was very kind and served us quickly. The staff here looks miserable most of the time and they stand around a lot yet take forever to take my order. I get kinda sad just seeing all the frowns here. If it wasn’t for the price I wouldn’t come here.

BEWARE! Sushi Garden is KNOWN to double charge your credit card and they refuse the void the charge and make you dispute the charge with your credit card company. This is HORRIBLE business practice! Their unprofessionalism overrules the taste of their food.

So I decided to stop in Sushi Garden today on my lunch hour from work. I used to frequent this restaurant quite a bit, mainly for dinner, when I lived in town and was going to stop in to get some old favorites. It being lunch I figured it would be busy, and it was, but the bar only had one person at it so it suited me fine. The waitress came over quickly and took my order… this is where things took a turn for the worse… I ordered a Rainbow Roll(basically a CA roll topped with different fishes) and a Mountain Roll(a crab filled baked roll that has Salmon, sauces and a little parmesean on top). Order went in no problem, I even heard one of the 3 chefs working call it out to the one that was going to make it. 30 minutes went buy and I still had neither roll served but could clearly see my mountain roll in the table top baking oven behind the chef prepping my roll. There was some things missing from the roll i saw(which i thought maybe he’d add later), oh and HENEVERTURNEDONTHEOVEN though! Maybe he was waiting for the DING to go off and alert him it was done, but time passed and passed and it sat there, and the rainbow roll; well we’ll get to that shortly. The waitress sees me sitting there and I see her asking another chef where is the Mountain Roll; this chef turns to mine(which he doesn’t realize it’s my roll) and he then turns around seeing it in the oven, pulls it out, realizes it never baked and pulls out the cooking torch and torches the top of it burning the salmon and never adding the rest of the ingredients. He passes it down the line and when the waitress sees it, she even says«he ordered a Mountain Roll» the chef insists its a Mountain Roll and she looks at the roll with a frustrated look but brings it to me and then sees I never got my Rainbow and she asks the chef about it; but I was already over it at this point because i have 15 minutes left to eat my Frankenstein roll that is not what I ordered, and told her to cancel it and the chef hears me and he apologies and says«Sorry, I forgot» but doesn’t really seem to care. So now I’m staring at this roll that was drenched in sweet sauce, missing ingredients cur terribly and know it’s not right but tried it anyway. It tasted burnt, and had ZERO flavor, except for the sweet sauce it was drowning in. I ate a little over half, hoping that maybe the next bite would get better, but I gave up and couldn’t finish it, got up and went to pay. Son in 50 minutes I had one terribly wrong roll, one that was«forgotten» and nothing to show for it but a bad taste in my mouth and a lunch hour wasted. The waitress apologized and I told her that was not a Mountain Roll and she said she knew and that the chefs«are off their game today»…which is totally unacceptable if you’re working a restaurant(I’m pretty sure making what your customer orders is a main priority) and didn’t make me feel any better, especially for paying full price for this. Honestly this was THEWORST $ 13 I HAVEEVERSPENT… and I have spent some bad money! Bottom line, GOSOMEWHEREELSE! It’s a let down to say, especially being a patron of this place before, BUT I WILLNEVERGOBACK and will share this with everyone I know. If I could I’d give them ZERO stars I totally would fora ll this and their lack of caring really, they seem like they weren’t really bothered by any of this. I guess the waitress deserves the one they get. I can go on and on, but I’ll let the pictures do the talking. I should’ve gone to Imura’s anyway… they are far better in quality anyway and normally my #1 spot for sushi in this area!

Lunch here today. No frills Japanese restaurant. Decent food, and reasonable price, but service O F F. Abundant parking and relatively clean thanks to the hard working young lady who is acting as a hostess and busser. One more try for a higher review.

The food was great. I had a vegetarian roll. However, the service was unbelievably unprofessional. I received my appetizer 30 min after the main course and I had to cancel my appetizer and one of my rolls. They were short staffed and I understand but the waitress/server did not handle the situation as adequately as she should have. The least she could have done is checked up on us or given us an explanation.

Service SUCKS! This place has gone so down hill! This place used to have employees that were on top of it with awesome attitudes that were friendly… But now it is soooo bad I am tired of spending my money here! I don’t even want to leave a tip anymore they are so rude Their service and shitty attitudes have chased me out their door and into Imuras… who I hear have much better sushi anyway, we will see!

4 servers, 3 chefs. Stood at the door from 12:10 to 12:12 without one single acknowledgement. Seated ourselves and about 2 minutes a waiters said he’ll be with us soon…4 minutes later he came over and said«what can I get you?» Are you kidding??? We have no menus. He told us we needed to wait to be seated… turned and left. Told him you need to wash your tables, chairs and floors it’s a fuckin sticky dirty mess. Headed to Imura’s. Awesome sushi, awesome service. Bit me sushi garden.

My family has been to many many sushi places around Santa Cruz county and my fiancé and I have agreed that Sushi Gardens is our personal favorite. The tempura and rolls are amazing. I love the Eternal Sunshine roll. It’s a must have every visit! Sashimi is always fresh and amazing! Sometimes the service is a lil slow, especially at peak rush hours, but the food itself is the reason why we continue to frequent this place.

Came here on a Sunday night and it was pretty busy but we got seated right away I got the firecracker and dragon roll I think? They were alright I’d go to Imuras over this any day but they are closed sundays.
