This place is good for what it is. A few things: 1. This business is in Chinatown(specifically, the Techworld Plaza), not Shaw, as Unilocal says. The Good: 1. There’s a bar with stools you can sit on and a TV. You can eat there or just hang out while your food is being prepared. 2. The ladies that make the food are very nice and they’ll remember your order(if you regularly get the same thing). 3. Bagels are pretty solid. The Bad: 1. The older guy that rings you up(and appears to be the boss) is a cheap jackass. If you ask for a fresh squeezed OJ, he will give you a plastic cup that is at least ¾ filled with ice cubes. First off, who the hell even puts ice into fresh squeezed juice? Only a business that is clueless or trying the rip off the customer by adding volume with ice, which is exactly what he’s trying to do. If you ask him about it, he’ll become angry and tell you his bullshit policy. The added ice seriously dilutes the OJ, which is pretty lame, b/c that’s exactly why a customer is getting«FRESH squeezed OJ.» He removed about 1⁄3 of the ice and then filled the OJ4⁄5. Unfortunately, I don’t think there are that many other places(other than the nearby Renaissance Hotel) around to get fresh squeezed OJ. The owner’s totally anti customer service attitude is very unattractive, however.
