Nine West

I had to return shoes because of a scuff (which was probably my fault to begin with) and I did not have a receipt. I also purchased them during a BOGO deal and had them shipped to my house from another store… blah blah blah.
I was a difficult customer (to say the least), in terms of my circumstance, and probably a complete nightmare for any Sales Rep. I went to the Farragut North location (not the location I purchased the original order from) and the wonderful Michelle helped me figure out the situation, found my order by calling the other store… because I was not even in the system, and helped exchange the shoes that I loved, for the same pair from another store (because they did not have my size in stock). SO, now they are being shipped to my house again, and I did not have to pay an additional cost for them. All in all, Michelle was the most patient, helpful and friendly Sales Rep I have worked with. She deserves to be Manager, if she is not!

I have gone back since this review and had way better experiences!

This place is clean, but tiny. Ive been here 4 times now and they have never had my size. Service isn’t great either — this place is usually not crowded but for some reason i have always had to stand around and wait to get some help. Today I waited 8 minutes while the employee chatted it up with her friend about how she just wants to go home, and finally looked at me and asked, with one mere word, «Size?» (Which obviously they didn’t have.)

Not open at 5:30 pm on a Saturday.
When my wife and I are celebrating her birthday with a bit too much afternoon beer and a shopping impulse to match, I expect to be able to blow some cash at Nine West. Yes, I know your clientele are likely to be weekday business folk… but us staycationing ‘burbanites (I can’t believe I just said that. Barf.) like to shop too. I demand satisfaction!
On the bright side, they probably saved me a couple hundred dollars.

Quick, convenient.
As a guy buying shoes for a girl – going in only with a shoe size and an idea – I found the experience pretty painless. And the location rocks too, if you work in DC’s (wait for it) Golden Triangle. (Seriously, what ‘is’ the Golden Triangle!?)
My main gripe is that store isn’t open on the weekends, but I doubt they’d see serious foot traffic on those days anyway.
Now if only we could get a DSW within the city limits.

I love nine west. At that particular store however just make sure you get served by the ethiopian girl behind the counter. Not the one that will almost force you to buy something and will talk to you non stop!

So I had been looking for a pair of black pumps forever. You’d think they’d be available at every shoe store across America. You’d be wrong. A great pair of black pumps is almost impossible to find. So imagine how excited I was to walk by Nine West and find the perfect pair right in the window.
Now, not wanting to get my hopes up, I casually walk in, peruse a little, and then ask for the coveted shoe in my size. Lo and behold, it fit. And was comfortable. SCORE!
And the salespeople were so amazing – cheerful, helpful, etc. It’s great. LOVE.
