RUINED my favorite shirt. I’m almost in tears. I had a $ 400 shirt that I asked them to remove stains from and unbelievably they removed the stains but they RUINED the silk shirt in the process. It was a fitted shirt and the material is now puckering EVERYWHERE. It is truly unwearable. And when I asked her desperately what could be done she said«can you sign the credit card receipt?» I will NEVERBEBACK and neither should you. ANDTHEYRIPPEDONEOFMYDRESSES

This place should not be open for business, DONOTGOHERE! The customer service here is terrible. Not only did they lose my shirt, but they still charged me full price for my dry cleaning. Dry cleaners lose shirts, I understand that. However, for them to proceed to charge me full price for the rest of my shirts is simply absurd. There are at least 2 other dry cleaners less than half a mile away from here, I suggest going there.

It took only one experience here for me to decide I would never go back – and I know that this experience was not unique to me. Upon dropping off three shirts to be dry-cleaned, the lady was rude, barely spoke, and was unclear on how much it would be and when I could pick them up. After finally working out the details, I returned three days later to get my shirts. Nowhere in the store does it say that there is a credit card minimum, however when I went to pay the $ 8 for my shirts, I was told that they would not accept credit card for anything less than $ 10. Yeah, they gave me a hard time about a $ 2 difference. After pointing out that they need to display that information, I was told to go to an ATM if I wanted my shirts. So, essentially, my shirts were held hostage while I was forced to pay an ATM fee to retrieve them. Unbelievably, a friend of mine had the EXACT same experience not long after I did. I’m generally easygoing, and very few experiences at stores genuinely frustrate me, however this was absolutely infuriating. There are plenty of dry cleaners in the area that treat you with respect and, most likely, that will not hold your clothes hostage. If you just moved to Foggy Bottom, find another place to take your clothes.

After going to another area dry-cleaner that broke several of the buttons on my dress shirts and unapologetically left creases in all of my dress shirts… it was refreshing that Georgetown Valet got everything right! They even moved around my buttons(from the extra buttons to the broken buttons) free of charge. I definitely recommend this location of Georgetown Valet.

I haven’t done any dry cleaning here, but I had alterations done and they were incredibly sloppy. Also, it was not inexpensive compared to neighboring places. The alterations were actually so sloppy that I need to get them repaired! Do not have alterations done here.

This place is reliable. The clothes arrive on time and they have never damaged anything. This is saying a lot for a dry cleaners; I’ve had several bad experiences in other cities. One of the proprietors knows me on sight and brings my clothes without my having to identify myself with my telephone number. I only deprive this place of a fifth star because it is a bit more expensive than another nearby dry cleaner I have used. BTW, it’s on L Street, not Pennsylvania Avenue, despite what the address says.

How can I forget my neighborhood drycleaner? Let me tell you, the high point of my week was when my cleaner remembered me by name. She even called me when I turned in a pair of pants whose hem came undone, and asked for instruction. All this for the inexpensive service I’ve become accustomed too. I love this location. They’ve been good to me. And chances are, they’ll be good to you too. Five stars, easy.
