Mr. Jones has been taking care of clothes alterations for me and my family for over 20 years. His work is always done with care and his pride of ownership and his attentiveness to his craft are evident when entering his shop and doing business.

Mr. Jones has been my tailor for ten years. He is highly skilled, and handles even complicated alterations well. For instance, he shortened the sleeves on a lined wool coat I bought where the sleeves had many buttons near the cuff. For that reason, he shortened the sleeves from the shoulder — and made it look like it was always that way. He’s taken in pants and skirts at the waist, hemmed pants (easy), brought in lined dresses from the bust, and even let out a pair of pants (while advising me to instead buy them bigger). One of my work colleagues asked me, unprompted, «Who is your tailor? Your clothes always fit you so well.»
I used to live closer to his business on Georgia Avenue near Silver Spring, MD, but now I still drive there from Arlington, VA – he’s that good.
