Terrible customer service. I tried to call in an order and they refused to take it. I was told I have to place my order online. Upon arrival there was only one person in line. I never been refused having my order taken over the phone. Thank goodness there are more Chipotle stops in DC within .5 miles of this location.

I’m Chipotle obsessed. The food is consistent, but the portions are abysmal and they’re always running low on just about everything. Stick to the M Street location.

Today was the fourth time I went to this location. I live only two blocks away from this chipotle. As a background note, I love chipotle. I am a big fan. However, this particular location is the opposite of what one would expect of chipotle. My dinner today gives me nausea, and I left ¾ of my plate(to the trash can). This is what I have received the four times I have visited this particular location: — food is cold — rice is soupy — steak is chewy and venous. I had to take it out of my mouth because it felt weird — iron plates where they grill the meat looks very dirty and has black accumulations on it — employees look so unhappy it is sad — guacamole is brown and tastes funny(I make guacamole at home often and I know it is a natural process of real avocado, but come on, I pay almost $ 3 for that small side of guacamole — I don’t want to throw it away like I did today) Every single time of the four times I have been at this chipotle I regret it and ask my husband to remind me to never go back again — but I love chipotle, so every time I craved it I wanted to give it another chance. No more though. It was disgusting today. Big disappointment. I wonder why chipotle and the manager of this store haven’t done anything about it yet. I moved to the neighborhood in june and it’s been the same for five months.

Only order a burrito if you want it to fall apart immediately after unwrapping the foil.

This is the worst Chipotle ever. Very rude, unprofessional, unfriendly staff.

Going to chipotle is always a pleasant experience. They can be so swamped, and the employees still manage to be so attentive and kind in such a fast past environment.

So since I was here last, the service and food quality have improved! Thank you for reading and caring what goes on in this location and improving it greatly.

I’m almost embarrassed to be writing fast food review, but I really hope enough bad reviews will fix my home turf Chipotle. Where’s the manager at this place?! Rude staff. Out of brown rice, lettuce, chicken, carnitas, etc. I get that they’re busy, but I worked fast food growing up. There was ONE pleasant, hard-worker up front tonight, so I’ll give her props.

I generally dont write reviews, but just had to today after visiting this chipotle. The service here was just god awful. In fact, i see another customer here yelling at one of the staff members for poor service as I write this review. The steak was cold and undercooked. I got an extremely small portion because the lady wanted to just move the line along and not get the other container just behind her. I ask for a touch of sour cream, and then she gives me an entire scoop full. The entire place is filthy. The list can go on. Will never return.

This place is still a Chipotle, so it wasn’t some awful experience or anything. My meal still tasted fine and I will comeback here again. That being said it was the least impressive Chipotle I have been to. The line wasn’t long at all, but it took us awhile to get to our food. They seemed to be out of or running low on a lot of the toppings. I had to wait almost 5 minutes because the veggies weren’t ready and I barely got any beans because they were running so low. In general I feel like I got far less of all ingredients than at other locations in the area. Again, nothing terrible but definitely below average for the chain.

I read the reviews yet came here anyway because I was just leaving Whole Foods and didn’t feel like walking all the way over to the 19th& M location(my usual location). When I walked in at 11:45, there was no line… at all. I was excited about that. I ordered my food and the portions were rather big, which I also was excited about since that was a main complaint in most of these reviews. I then get back to work and start eating. Something doesn’t feel right. Lo and behold, after dissecting my bowl more closely and pulling apart the chicken, not only was the chicken cold but it was completely undercooked. I was so hungry and tired from walking that I just scraped the guacamole off the top and ate some of that. But then I got worried since the guac was touching the undercooked chicken. I had to pretty much throw the whole thing away. $ 10 down the drain(including guac). If I wasn’t so tired, I would have walked back down there and gotten my money back. I definitely won’t be returning to this location.

We love eating at Chipotle and this review is no comment on the food, which is always delicious. It is a block from my apartment, so I frequent it all the time, but the service is very slow and the place is always messy. The line usually extends out the door, and this is mostly there aren’t enough people working there. If this location was better managed and cleaner, I would probably go there more often. I also never change my order and always get the veggie bowl. If you’re not familiar with chipotle, they give you free guacamole if you don’t get meat, so I would recommend doing that if you don’t want to cough up the $ 2 every time.

People are probably a little over-critical of this Chipotle. I eat there frequently because it’s very close to my house, and I’ve never had a long wait or an impolite employee. In fact, I witnessed the worst orderer in the history of Chipotle there(asked a million questions, requested more of everything until finally they told him they couldn’t fit more in the bowl… then argued about the price!) and they handled him very patiently. The food is identical to every other Chipotle, which is to say very good. I will say that it is unusual how often they seem to run out of things on the line, though usually they will quickly refill them for you… other Chipotles are more proactive about having full containers in front of their employees.

I live in Logan Circle and have gone to this Chipotle several times. until recently. The service has become such an issue(the workers either socialize among themselves to a large degree or have conversations with other customers/friends that go beyond ‘good customer service’) that I have started to go to Sweetgreen or Whole Foods. The food is not an issue except if you are trying to order a bowl within 15 – 20 minutes of closing; the staff has said on more than one occasion that they do not have certain ingredients available anymore. I believed them until another customer asked them to check and there was more of whatever ingredients we both wanted. Also, I thought that I was being overly critical but after reading the bulk of reviews for this location my experience is sadly typical of many other customers.

OK, so let me start off by saying that this review is not about the quality of the food. My usual chicken bowl tasted like it always does at every other Chipotle. Now, I walked in at 7pm on a Monday, so maybe the staff was just tired… but the this was the slowest, laziest staff I’ve ever encountered at a Chipotle. The first employee on the line started off very promising, but it quickly fell apart when she forgot to communicate to the refill guy(who was on his break) and the toppings Batista employee that she was low on chicken. So my bowl sat there for a few minutes as the first line member tried to figure out what to do at which point the toppings girl began to add sour cream to my meatless bowl(–1 star). I informed her that I was waiting for chicken and she apologized. She was very polite… HOWEVER, presentation is everything. Every single barista employee had some type of juice and residue of everyone else’s bowl or burrito on their hands and smeared across the counter. I should have taken a picture of what me and the surrounding customers bowls looked like with a thick layer of sour cream, bean juice, and guacamole smeared on the top and bottom of the containers(–1star). That’s just carelessness if you ask me because all the hands that my bowl went through and none of them saw anything wrong with the condition and presentation of the food. As I was getting ready to pay, the refill guy whom was on his break was loitering at the end of the line with a cup of water in the way of the customers and posing as a distraction to the employees(–1 star). None of the employees were rude, but where was the management? I’ve been to locations with a much younger staff that were more proactive and thoughtful than this group.

Sigh I really had high hopes for this location but every time I go I’m just disappointed. I come here because its close to my job but I rather go make the trek to the one in Dupont if I’m really craving Chipotle. OK the main issue I have is the food. It lacks flavor, maybe needs more seasoning. They tend to run out of ingredients often. Last time they ran out of rice. I mean no rice really??? It wasn’t even crowded so I don’t understand how you run out food. I love Chipotle but I will no longer come to this location.

I was so excited when this Chipotle opened up by my apartment but boy did that excitement fade fast. There’s just something wrong with the meats at this particular restaurant. No they aren’t dangerous, but just down right tasteless. I thought it was just me, but then I realized that the Dupont Chipotle has my taste buds singing. Service isn’t terrible, however the tables are always dirty. And I will always choose a different location before this one. BTW, anyone else notice the .50 cent up charge Chipotle tacked onto the price?

Chipotle is what it is, assembly line food. However, while never the best the product it is consistent much of the time, as is the service. Maybe once in awhile, a store will be filthy, mostly cause they are so dam busy. But the one thing that I always count on in the multitude of times I have gone to them is the speed of service, and the ability to just get staff add maybe a little more cheese or salsa verde or pico. Not here. Going early only 5 people in line. Service here is the SLOWEST molasses inducing speed I have ever seen at ANY franchise I have ever been to. Literally watched open food just sit on the line getting cold. Staff would refill stuff at a snails pace. 2 construction workers in front of me just stood dumbstruck as the staff would just walk. WALK. away to the back, get more product, slowly fill it up, and then walk back to the line, all while their product in front of them is just sitting their for a full minute. It was so pathetic that we actually started laughing. I cant imagine how bad that line would be if it was 100 people deep(which it often is). The great thing about the franchise has always been staff who just make the burritos fly out like silver bullet launched torpedos! Wham boom slap crunch poof done. Not here. If you come here, pay very close attention to how the staff physically moves. If you dont see the salsa fly, then go elsewhere cause you will be waiting. Props to the cashier who was all smiles and courteous at least.

I am surprised that this chipotle is getting bad reviews. I usually go at about lunchtime, and they are moving FAST, nice friendly people. Same faces most of the time . I can agree though. I went there once about 4:30 ish. No line, and the workers were cleaning tables and in the back. A whole new crew I never seen. They moved slow, and once my burrito was in the bag the line was long. A worker called for another worker from the back and she was taking her time. I was done, so no prob. I usually eat in, even though it’s limited space other customers and I usually just sit at a table with one another which isn’t a problem. I LOVEIT !

I was pretty excited to learn that a Chipotle opened closer to my house and the one on Connecticut Avenue, but that excitement was quickly tampered after I went a few times. Since it opened, the workers here aren’t as friendly as the ones at the Connecticut Avenue location. They’re surly and slow. There’s not a lot of seating area, but that doesn’t really affect me because I rarely eat in. At the end of the day, Chipotles are a lot alike. The food is roughly the same, but I always somehow go to this Chipotle either before or after the dinner hour, so they always seem to be empty and without ingredients. But at least they don’t charge for extra rice or an extra tortilla like at some Chipotles.
