The Shoe Center

I wandered into the Shoe Center a few months after we moved to the Warrenton area. I had a pair of high-​end western boots that I’d worn all through the 1990’s, finally wearing through the sole. Then I wore them in the snow, using plastic bags for liners to keep my feet dry in the 2000s. Yes, boot abuse. But I couldn’t bring myself to throw them out. I brought them in to Ryan who quietly looked them over and accepted the challenge. For $ 65 my $ 300 boots were resoled, reconditioned and polished till they looked brand new. I am wearing them again. I have since brought in 2 pair of hiking boots to have the soles re-​glued and bought my son a fabulous pair of waterproof leather boots from The Shoe Center’s stock, to wear when he rides his motorcycle. This is a full-​service shoe store that I cannot recommend highly enough.

I took in two pair of boots that needed new heels and one needed new soles. I was told what would be done and given a date when they would be ready. They ended up being done sooner than expected which was awesome. I’m all for supporting local businesses, so I’m certain to go back here again.
