I walked in here when I saw that there was a warehouse sale. My g/f and I found a very attractive lamp, albeit loaded with dust, and thought it was a great deal for $ 100. So we decided to buy it but before we did, the floor manager whispered to an employee and asked if they had a boxed one. They didn’t. I walked up to cash register and she warned me that all sales are final. I had inspected it before so I felt that it was okay and purchased it. I was wrong. Before loading it into the car I wanted to wipe it down. During the process we we discovered a major crack that was hidden under layers of white dirt. I immediately took it back into the store and asked for a refund. Floor manager Nagwa deferred to store manager Amanda, and Amanda flat out told her that the tag says broken on it. I inspected the tag and it didn’t. Then Amanda says«it probably won’t even let us give refund anyway», then walks out of the store without even looking at us. Yes, all sales are final, I get that. But what I don’t get is why they would put damaged product on the floor and trick customers into selling it. This happened before with another store before, which is why I learned to inspect it before making the purchase. Thing is the other store was apologetic and allowed a refund, whereas this store punish their customers for not thoroughly inspecting products before making a purchase. Why would I walk into their store if I have to inspect everything before making a purchase every time? I haven’t really shopped at Pier 1 before and I’m glad for it. Unfortunately my g/f did for a long time but she promised she will never enter another Pier 1 store again.

We had a great experience at this store last weekend! We went in to order new glasses and walked out purchasing a new dining room table/chairs on sale and with a discount! They have a delivery arrangement with Sal that this weekend also went very well. Sal and his assistant were very courteous, clean and fast. One of the chairs was defected so today I called the store and talked to Annalisa the Manager On Duty who totally took care of ordering a replacement without any hassles. I will definitely make the drive from Alameda to Walnut Creek in the future based on the recent experience.

If I had a huge house and a crap-ton of money, I’d probably go to Pier 1 Imports for my décor purposes. I’ve always liked this Pier 1. Yes, it’s probably because it’s in my hoe town, and, yes, it’s probably because we didn’t have this Pier 1 here until at least 7 or 8 years ago, but it was super-duper fun then as it is now to shop here. It’s not that big of a Pier 1, but it definitely has a lot of stuff organized pretty well so that it doesn’t feel too cramped. I love the papasan chairs they have(they even haev a loveseat version, now!), and the quality isn’t too bad. The only gripe I may have are the prices, but I would always have a coupon for this place before I purchase anything. Service has always been very good. Never had an issue, and everyone’s very polite. Parking’s super-easy. Plus, you can go next door to Bevmo and get your alcoholic beverages! :D

First time in the store and the employees are awesome! I was treated like a customer should be treated. Most stores lack friendly customer service but this Pier 1 really impressed me!

I absolutely LOVE this store. I could spend all day in it and probably still want more. Great for decorating all year round. The items are unique and good quality, a little pricey but their clearance items are a steal! Id rather pay a little more to be in a clean, well maintained store and know my items are going to last than to push and shoce and scour through for a similar but cheap item at Ross. The staff are always friendly and helpful, I must give a shout out to Kendra; My bf and I had seen a papasan(check it out super comfy) that we liked about a month ago &decided to save up for it. We were going to buy it yesterday forgetting that they close early(7pm) on Sundays. Instead of 9pm like during the week. I called the store asked if they still had the papasan. Kendra said yes but they close at 7. It was 6:40 we thought we could make it. Got to the store doors exactly at 7 and it was locked! :(nooo. But Kendra came unlocked the doors and asked if we had called about the papasan. Yes! She let us in and said she was going to wait till 7:30 for us. How awesome! Great customer service. Will definitely be a forever customer.

I LOVE Pier 1 Imports! I come here just for fun in search of things I don’t need that I end up telling myself I can’t live without… LOL But anyways, the staff here is GREAT! They are always super friendly, great smiles, always willing to help and may I add? Not too bad on the eyes. LOL

I always love coming to pier 1 for their vast selection of home décor & seasonal items. they are pricier but if you want something cheaper you can always hop next door to bed bath and beyond. This location is particularly convenient as it is near 2 college campuses and in the same plaza as el pollo, in-n-out, flame broiler, & chipotle. we often shop this place after eating. parking is ample as well

I love Pier 1 Imports, as a store. It’s one of my favorites. However, both times I’ve been in here the staff was cold as ice and so the enviornment is just not very inviting. The cashier chatted with the other girls about their schedules as she was ringing me up. She never made conversation. They all seemed mad about having to be at work. I’ll be looking for a new location.

This place is a woman’s paradise. I walk in and immediately I can sense that my wife would have a blast here. I came in looking for a picnic basket similar to my sister’s. One of the things I don’t like [that I know some people will] is that Pier 1 is a [you guessed it] imports store. Meaning they import goods from all over, which means that you can’t expect to find the exact same item you probably bought a year ago. That being said, I did not find the picnic basket I wanted, but I did find a lot of other bizarre trinkets that interested me. The place is always difficult to navigate, as there are no aisles or categories really to how things are organized, but again… this is a man speaking in me. The store itself is clean, the service is decent, it’s not freezing cold or blistering hot in there, and the location is great.

I love pier 1! They sell everything for every room of your house. It’s affordable so you won’t be too bummed if it’s damaged, plus everything here is imported, hence the name! I’ve bought an antique styled clock for around 40 bucks for my dad here and hey loved it and it goes great with our Victorian styled house. I’ve bought a lot of beautiful teapots for my mom here for around 25 bucks a piece. I introduced her to this place and she loves coming here for her table sets because it’s so cheap and they offer so many designs. I’ve also bought a lot of great small gifts for my friends here, everything from funny beer bands to cute jewelry stands. They also have really cute and funny mugs here. I buy most of my glassware from here because its really cheap, most of my wine glasses and tumblers are from here. They have a ton of things here, everything from rugs and vases to funny designed kitchen ware and whole table sets. At a point around Halloween they even had really nice handcrafted masks that were imported from Italy that was the same as one that my friend actually brought back from Italy haha! This place has a lot to chose from and it would seem expensive but I was taken aback by the prices when I actually shopped there and when they have sales, it makes me a happy girl haha. Who wouldn’t want a cute bowl and mug that is shaped and designed like cow utters for only two to three bucks each? haha I like this one better than the other locations, it’s the cleanest and most organized one I’ve been to.

Since buying a new home, this has been one of my new favorite places to shop at. Surprisingly, prices are reasonable. They always have a consistent amount of clearance and sale items where you can really find a good deal. Not to mention, the items aren’t your typical«Ikea» looking items. It’s good quality, unique, and makes your home feel more«homey». Lots of great items and very helpful staff.
