I just went in there last week for the first time in a long time and was very pleased with the selection. There were a lot of unique designer pieces that you wouldn’t find at the department stores, lots of cute dressed and great purses. And the prices are very reasonable for an exclusive boutique. With all the chain stores at Broadway Plaza, it’s nice to have a selection of unique designer options. The owner is very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend stoping in.

I loved my experience at Red Box in Walnut Creek, CA. What caught my eye were the lovely dresses in the window. But then as you go in, it is like a jewelry box. The more you looked, the more you saw. The store owner was available and very helpful with getting me clothes to try on. I really enjoyed the personal attention. Their clothes were expensive but high quality and worth every penny. I love the variety that this place had to offer. I would go back in a hot minute when I need another cocktail dress!

My horrible encounter with this store can only be described as racial discrimination. My sister and I(Mexican-American) were walking back from our lunch in downtown Walnut Creek and noticed the clothing rack outside The Red Box. Like any shopper would do, we walked up to the rack and started to peruse the items. A young Black woman behind us did the same thing. Within seconds, a store clerk(White) rushed out of the store and told us to stop looking at the clothes. She came out so quickly it was if she was afraid that the clothes would disintegrate at the touch of our fingertips. It was pretty bad. She said that we couldn’t look at the clothes because they were moving the rack across the street. Now, I understand if you’re moving inventory, but if you want your customers to actually stay and feel invited to purchase your items then there are a couple other ways to get that message across, such as: * «Just so you’re aware, we’ll be moving our rack momentarily, but feel free to look though the items in the time being.» * «In a few minutes, we’re taking this rack across the street, but let me know if there is anything you need.» * «We’re taking the rack across the street shortly, so please let me know if I can assist you with anything.» The list goes on. Anyway, she pretty much shoo’d all of us away. We were a bit startled as it was painfully obvious she didn’t want or care for our business. About 20 minutes later, we were walking back to our car when we saw the same rack still on display. I wanted to take a second look at the clothing and, when I did, the same woman came out and placed her hand on the rack. Again, she informed us that they were taking it across the store so we couldn’t look at anything. Then she said… «We’re taking this to our DISCOUNT store across the street? Do you know where our DISCOUNT store is?» Her strong emphasis on discount was incredibly insulting. Of course, I left immediately. She might have been surprised to learn that right before this incident, I was down the street at Prima, a fine dining Italian restaurant, where I spent a couple hundred dollars on my sister and her fiancé to celebrate their recent engagement. And here’s the kicker. When I walked back to the store to make sure that I got the name of the business correct, the rack was still out there. If this wasn’t racial discrimination, then I’m not sure what is.

Well run business. Very friendly people run the store. Excellent customer service. Was introduced to the Texier brand for the first time here. Competitive prices(comparable to other places that sell the same brands). Taking off stars because of their no refund policy, i. e even when I had accidentally purchased something that I did not intend to, because of the store associate’s fault. They said she was new, and offered store credit instead. Offering store credit instead of a full refund is a forced way of making you buy more accessories that you might not have cared for otherwise(from a small boutique store with limited choices). This policy makes me leery of wanting to go back, although I am all for patronizing such small, well-run businesses. But that might be just me… Else, I’d go back in a heart-beat.

I brought my friend in just to take a look and she ended up with a great vest for the Fall Season. Great quality, up to date clothing and personable service. We will be back

This is my new go-to store! Fabulous clothes, jewelry and accessories. All of the clothes are well chosen. I feel like only the cream-of-the-crop are here! Only the best. You’ll have a hard time choosing which items to buy. I bought a stunning leather satchel bag for my upcoming trip to Italy. It is exactly what I’ve been searching for. Classy. Affordable. And chic. Love the owner and the sales clerks. We chatted for quite some time — they really know fashion — that’s for sure. Like I said… my new go-to store!

Love the owner and the store. The only reason I took one star away is to point out to the owner that a few adjustments to how they display their clothing could call attention to their lovely clothing items too. Right now, the shoes and bags are much more visible. This is more than an accessory store… It is a clothing, accessory and top-notch service(above anything) store. If you’re looking for unique alternatives to the high-end items that are so repetitive in department stores, stop by the Red Box. I really hope this store continues to succeed, as it serves as a role model for entrepreneurial endeavors: high quality options made possible by individual women who understand business and the value of a personal approach to service. That’s the good stuff.

The owner reached out to me via Unilocal last week to extend the 10% offer but she also said she never had a $ 2,000 transaction that would have resulted in $ 200. So again, I repeat she does try to be nice. I just think she should not be in customer service because of her negativity. So now that I know she reads these reviews I’d like to introduce her to sarcasm. Okay, I would not have saved«a couple of hundred dollars.» I checked back and would have only saved a little over $ 150. I wish I had the time to waste going back to this store to slam my receipt on the counter and then tap dance on my cash.

My friend and I had intended to exchange her Christmas gift, possibly getting something more expensive. We didn’t have the receipt, though, so the young lady telephoned the boss, who turned us down. I’d been very impressed when I walked in the day after it opened and spoke with the owner, who was very helpful. I do wish them well, but after this experience, this is one local resident who won’t shop there again.
