I choose this location to cater just about every client lunch I can because of the amazing level of service that they provide. Anna, Sabrina, and Chris help me get my order in quickly and easily and the rest of the staff is so helpful with anything else I may need. Whether it’s Chicken, Pork, Ball Tip, or Vegetarian dishes, I get nothing but rave reviews, and clients look forward to the next lunch where I’ll bring the exact same thing and it never disappoints!

The sandwiches are pretty good, but do yourself a favor and skip the bbq ribs they were disgusting. Ordered ½ rack of pork rib combo with two sides. The ribs were: near cold, tough, and greasy. The two sides were average at best. They weren’t hot either and the bbq beans taste exactly like Nalley’s chili out of the can.

There was some hiccups in my catering delivery but I will say that Sabrina is AWESOME! She did exactly what a manager should do to accommodate their clients. We totally appreciate your apologies and providing a solution. Needless to say, the food was delicious as always.

I was so hopeful. I love a good BBQ, especially a tri tip sandwich. What I got was mediocre at best. I should have walked out the door as soon as I saw them place the cut tri tip into the microwave. WHODOESTHAT??? The sauces are good, but they can’t make up for the awful treatment of the meat. No self-respecting Q’er microwaves meat. What a disgrace!

Great BBQ! Always fresh and clean. Nice to have in a strip mall that is easily accessible and never too busy to get tasty takeout. Great for parties as well. Need to go back in getting hungry– try it out you will be glad that you did!

I had the best sandwich i have ever had today at Kinder’s! I don’t usually Unilocal but i felt compelled to because i want everyone to experience the sandwich I had today, and i will for sure be back very soon! The customer service was great as well, they made sure i had everything i needed as i waited for my sandwich. I believe Sabrina helped me, she did such a wounderful job. Way to go Kinder’s!

I’m a bit disappointed. I went to the Pleasanton Hill location a few months ago and had a decent lunch. However tonight I went to the Parkside location in Walnut Creek, basically ordered the same thing, and my meal is disgusting. I’m not finishing it. Two stars because the service was good, just not the food. My guess would be that the meat was sitting under a heat lamp for many hours. This is not how BBQ is done!

What the hell is wrong with these assholes?! I went in, no one helped me. Two white people came in and they both get helped first even if I was standing in front of them in a fucking line waiting to be helped they clearly looke over me to help them first… I’m so fucking pissed! Fuck you Kinder’s!

I give it 1 star for the service. 0 for the food. After reading all the great reviews I was shocked when my boyfriend and I got our plate. We ordered 2 ball tip sandwiches with sweet fries, tequila lime fries, potato salad, and pasta salad(we wanted to try a bit of everything for our first time). The ball tip sandwich was a soggy mess. The meat tasted boiled, had no flavor, and it was cold. It was filled with mayonnaise and the bread was cold too, not toasted. The funny thing was, everyone else seemed to be ordering it and enjoying it! What?! The fries were alright. Pasta salad was flooded with dressing but the potato salad pretty decent. 30 dollars down the drain.

Meh. Pork ribs that were smoky, but chewy and tough as pork jerky. Their ball tip was better, beefy tasting and more tender. Their sauces, which we buy retail so we like and know what to expect, were great as always. Atmosphere is not much at this location, casual and deli-like. But efficient and comfortable enough for a quick lunch or carry out. From the other reviews, I guess sandwiches are the way to go here. Maybe I’ll try that next time.

Not our first time to Kinder’s but first time we ordered deli style sandwiches here. We have enjoyed their BBQ meats several times and even picked up steaks for home BBQ. Always enjoyed their food and decided to try their deli sandwiches today. I ordered the Combo and my wife ordered the mini smoked turkey. The Combo is a hearty sandwich with heaps of turkey, roast beef, salami, ham and cheese of choice. This monster of a sandwich is full of flavor and for just 9.95 is guaranteed to fill you up. My wife ordered the mini and received a huge sandwich full of smoked turkey, cheese and fixings for just 6.95. We had an order of tequila lime fries to share and we had a meal fit for bragging. My reason for not giving this place 5 stars is they are too heavy on the mustard and they only serve Pepsi. Price, quality and service makes Kinder’s worth visiting when you want deli or BBQ.

Needed a good deli sandwich today… we’ve picked up Kinder’s bbq take out before and always enjoyed. First time at this location as the parking always seemed daunting. Large and open with some tables in and out. At least 4 – 5 jovial guys working hard making sure your order comes out right. I got the«mini» sandwich which actually was more like a regular sandwich at other places. Sour dough roll stuffed with smoke turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomato, pickle, mayo and mustard came on a paper lined round tin tray. The tequila lime fries — I like my fries crispy and these did not disappoint. Delicious with a side of balsamic(I think) creamy dipping sauce. They have a good selection of sandwiches, eat in or take out. There is also a large refrigerated deli case full of assorted salads, meats, etc. Now that we aren’t haunted by the parking, we’ll be back.

Excellent sandwiches, sides are okay and customer service is friendly but a little unorganized. The bathrooms are outside around the corner of the building. The sandwiches are 5 stars only 4 for the experience. Will be back!

Kinders BBQ sauce is the best I have ever had. No HFCS, it’s all real sugar. Costco carries large 2 packs now as well. It’s all I have, and I have also hooked many friends. Tri tip sandwiches are fantastic. The fries are cooked right. The fry dipping sauce is surprisingly addictive and competes well against the table side BBQ sauce. I regret to say I have not tried any meats from their butcher section yet. The prices are a little higher than I would like, but their food is definitely worth it(unlike most $ 10 sandwiches).

I dream of the Balltip sandwich and the other day I was also dreaming about ribs. So guess what I did after work on Monday. Stopped and this location ordered a ball tip with everything on it and a half rack of ribs. Yes is was a little expensive but it was worth every penny. The sandwich was amazing as always and like any location you try cooked perfectly. The ribs were great. I was given 7 of them and my thief of a wife found out I was at the Kinders next to her work and she came over and ate 2. But either way I probably didn’t need those two extra ribs so enjoy them my little piggy, enjoy. The service was fast, accurate and one of the best things that I always hear at Kinder’s and almost never anywhere else is «let me wash my hands and I will get you food started» The place was clean, there was ample parking and I had an overall great experience.

This is really a deli… not a BBQ restaurant. The bbq is heated and served… not great. The three way combo is cheap at 12.95 but you get what you pay for: 3 dinky ribs, maybe half a sausage sliced, and a small piece of chicken. It was okay but I would not come back for it. The thing to get here… and what everybody else got(except yours truly) was the ball tri tip sandwich… get the sandwich!!! It is what this place is all about. The tequila lime fries were also really good. They have an amazing selection of butchered meats and sausages but I did not try. For true BBQ go to Maggie Ray’s in Alamo

Order the Ball Tip sandwich. Dredge it with as much BBQ sauce as you’d like once you get to your table and enjoy. Pair it with one of the great sides they offer and you have yourself a fantastic lunch.

I thought I have visited every Kinder’s in my area. Apparently I had missed one that was hiding in plain sight. The cool thing about this Kinder’s location is that the kitchen is open so you can see what everyone is doing. I ordered what I normally get: Kinder’s burger with beans and potato salad. Can’t go wrong with what you know you love. Two patties that were actually cooked closer to the way I like it, rare(which was probably more an accident, but a happy accident on my part), Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato. You know, the usual stuff. The burger buns were a little cooler than I’ve had before, but I liked it. The burger itself, as always, was delicious. The potato salad is nothing to rave about, but it was good and the beans are always good in my opinion. Now I was able to try the Pulled Pork Baked Potato that GF ordered and HOLYHELL, that was an experience. Is it just your normal twice baked potato? Oh no no no no. This potato is loaded to the max with sour cream, pulled pork, cheese and barbecue sauce. When it came out I knew there was a baked potato somewhere under the madness. You just had to go searching for it. It may look like a giant mess, but it tasted phenomenal. Hot potato, mixed with delicious pulled pork and cheese then cooled off with the sour cream and barbecue sauce. The tastiest mess you will ever shove into your mouth. The service was good. We must of been asked if we needed help by every single employee who was behind that counter. A few things I wasn’t thrilled about. The bathrooms are not located inside, but alllll the way around the building and every single table was dirty. Other then that, it was quite an exceptional experience.

«I have given a name to my pain, and it is the Pulled Pork Baked Potato.» — The Joker Maybe you heard him say Batman, but that’s all I hear now! Na na na na na na na na PULLEDPORK! BAM! KAPOW! ZOK! Not knowing what awaited me, I wandered into my nearby neighborhood Kinders, the hungry office worker’s delight, and while I can always rock some barbecue, my usual ribs just weren’t calling to me. A sandwich perhaps? Nope, not gonna cut it. What to do! Browse the menu a moment, and see that — the delicious monstrous horror of the Pulled Pork Baked Potato. One please! As I waited for it, questioning my life decisions thus far, I noticed in their deli case for purchase were twice-baked potatoes. Surely not. They wouldn’t put PORK on top of POTATO and CHEESE. They wouldn’t. They couldn’t! Oh yes they can and yes they will, and don’t call me Shirley. They also cover it in barbecue sauce, dollops of sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese. There is a God! There is also a Devil. I know this because I just ordered his favorite meal for lunch. :O Every bite was better than the last. I expected it to be tasty but this was ecstasy. It felt so dirty, so wrong… yet so right. I need a nap. I need a shower. Thank you, my nearby Kinders, for showing me the path to the dark side. If I don’t lose my job this afternoon from slipping into a porky cheesy coma, I will most certainly be back again for further punishment. Thank you Kinders, may I have another?
