The fries still reign supreme! The clubhouse burger was good, love the pretzel bun. Sometimes the employees can drag down a restaurant, well this is the case at this establishment. The help looks lethargic and miserable kind of like they work in a Russian prison camp, no happy Welcome to McDonalds, may I take your order, just a blank look of next!

Everyone likes McDonald’s. People try and pretend that they don’t and that the grossed out by it, but you know secretly they go there because every once in a while it’s what you need. Sure, overall the food isn’t good for you and frankly, you can find a better option, but let’s focus our attention on one particular breakfast item: The Egg McMuffin. In the morning, when I am rushing off to work, sometimes I don’t have time to eat at home or I never made it to the grocery store and have nothing to eat, so I am forced to head out onto the open road and search out who will provide me the most important meal of the day. And with this most important meal of the day comes some responsibility. Let’s face it, I’m not getting any younger so I am forced to give some thought into what I’m eating. The commercial on TV tells me that the Egg McMuffin is under 300 cal. That sounds like something I would like, so I sent out to rediscover the sandwich that I had consumed many times before. Now I’m not one to hone in on one particular establishment and not give any others chance(yes, we’re talking about McDonald’s) so many times, to stay within that lower calorie range and sometimes just out of convenience I will find myself at that orange and pink donut shop that claims America runs on them and have given their version of an Egg McMuffin any chance, but this review is not about them. This is about the Egg McMuffin. I am merely telling you this to let you know that I have tried others. It is my opinion that the Egg McMuffin is far superior to any other fast food healthy-ish breakfast sandwich. A couple of things that I would say sets them apart are as follows: 1: The English muffin has those desirable nooks and crannies, toasted to a crunchy perfection and delicious through and through. 2: The egg. The commercials claim this is a freshly cracked egg and in looking at it it seems as though they are not lying. I appreciate their honesty. The ham is nice. I can’t really say it’s good or bad, it’s just nice. The cheese could be worked on, but I know that this is mass-produced and they have certain standards and I am probably not getting a better quality American cheese for the price, but if I could be the voice of the American people and stand before the cheese-deciders at McDonald’s I would politely suggest they go to a white American cheese. This is only my preference and doesn’t necessarily mean it tastes different. So that is my review. The Egg McMuffin is a fantastic way to start the day. Fresh, healthy, and best of all delicious.

Yuck!!! While sitting in the drivethru saw two mice running in and out of the back door by the menu board. they certainly seemed comfortable there which tells me they most likely have been for a while. I got my food anyway… lunch time was running out and had to get back to work. won’t go again though BEWARE!

Major resson for the low rating is the long wait time at the drive thru. Happens during what should be quiter times too, like late mornings or about 3 in the afternoon. Food is okay, although I can’t remember the last time I got hot fries, either inside or drive thru. Don’t expect same level of food as a regular restaurant, but, aside from Popeye’s down the street which is ALWAYS a disaster, this McD’s doesn’t stack up next to it’s cometitor fast food places in the area. The one further up the road in Townline Plaza is better.
