Love this place, it’s a little hole in the wall, but don’t let that fool you, the pasteles are the best, would not buy from any where else, and the poki, roast pork and everything else are the best! If you haven’t been there you need too, will definitely put a smile on your face

Best pasteles, panadesa’s, bbq chicken, poke etc on the leeward coast hands down. This is a diamond in the rough. I used to come here as a child with my father and buy the yellow goodie bags, Love this place!

We’ve been coming here for years and years! This is the only place we will buy our pasteles. So yummy.

This is it I have been all over the island this is it and they got it all. We drive from Kahala to buy these Pasteles. The flavor and texture is the key. The filling is just like mom’s. Bought Pasteles on Oahu from several people no one makes it like this…

Best poke on the westside!!! The fish is fresh, perfectly cut and Ono!!! Also try the tako poke, shrimp and the dried aku too!!! They are also very great tasting! The selection isn’t that big but the products are definitely delicious!!! The hot food is also good! The pasteles and gandule rice is Ono! Great place to get your pupus for the game or after work!

This place definitely reminds me of my puerto rican abuela’s cooking. Authentic pasteles and arroz con gandulez. The empanadillas crunchy and savory. Cheap too! Brought me back to my days In el barrio for sure. It’s a dive though… but i love hole in the walls! I’ll definitely be hittin this place up whenever I’m on the west side.

Seriously? I’m the first person to review Maili Pasteles? Wow. I’m honored, being that this place(formally known as Slide’s) is absolutely infamous for their pasteles and poke here on the Leeward coast. So if you’re a newbie to the Waianae side, this place will seem like a little hole in the wall on the bottom floor of a 2-story building next to a little tire shop. Parking is limited and the place isn’t the prettiest, but don’t let it fool you. People who know and love their pasteles come far and wide for it. And don’t forget their poke, dry aku, gandule rice, char siu and roast pork. They also sell Hawaiian plate lunches as well. There hasn’t been anything that wasn’t absolutely delicious! Their pasteles are the staple though. If you’re lucky enough to walk in a see a plate of gandule rice with a pastele on it, GETIT! If not, the guy behind you will and he’s the one who’s gonna leave happy. Oh, and how convenient that it’s a little liquor store too. So it’s our go-to place for pupu’s and beer. One-stop shopping! Luckily for those who get intense cravings for these pasteles, they also sell them in the Tamura’s Supermarket a couple of miles further into Waianae. The food here is top-notch. One taste and you won’t be sorry. Hundreds of Waianae locals(including me and my family and friends) can’t be wrong!
