HOPAROUNDSCAMMERS! Mr Harris showed up to give an estimate on 5÷19÷14. Next thing I know, 10 guys show up. It was agreed that for $ 4500CASH, they would take down, 13 trees. Logs were to be neatly stacked and branches mulched. They started work at 2:30 pm. At 6:00pm, I bought them pizzas and sodas. They worked till around 8:30 that night and were to finish up the next day, Tues. Cleaning up after them, I was finding empty beer cans and bottles from them! Next day, they came for 20 minutes and then disappeared. Couldn’t get a hold of them for a week. They then sent 1 person to finish while another(the only white guy), napped in his truck telling me he was only the driver. They were supposed to come again this past Tues, 5÷27÷14. Waited for them all day-they never showed up and never called. I also found out that while they were doing mine the first day, they also went to a neighbors and did the same thing. It seems that this is a low class operation that uses out of work guys, pays them minimally off the books, and jumps around so that they don’t get caught. I doubt that they have any insurance, so be careful of them. I was left with a huge mess in the yard, and a 4 foot high by 10 feet deep and 25 foot long pile of branches that was to be mulched. Beast Mode! I had no intentions of getting any trees cut down the morning they rang my doorbell. I agreed to a free estimate and within 10 minutes he quoted me the best deal I’ve had so far, more than 50% less than the other companies. Sure, they have no commercial vehicles and they aren’t white collar types, but why would they be? There here to get dirty. I agreed to have 6 trees chopped, cut to length and left in place, another topped and before I knew it they fell three in the front. These guys need to change their name, or create a motto and call it «Beast Mode.» Hands on, chainsaw slinging, tree climbing madness and they delivered! I asked if they were licensed and insured and they said yes. Maybe you will choose to believe them or not, but these guys all remember my property from the previous owner and my entire neighborhood knows who they are. Worth every penny and the next time I need tree work, they’re getting a call. They openly appreciate the work you give them. They even thanked me for the work some 7 times. I fed someones kids today and my property is safe. Awesome work! Watch out for the big white guy, he spits everywhere when he talks and have some solo cups, apparently they like ice because they’ll ask for some. I’ll have extra next time they come.

One word: Ghetto. This«business» is akin to the snake oil salesman that follows the carnival around the state.) Slick Willie sold us on a lowball quote for the tree we have been dying to have trimmed in our back yard. For $ 925 we would get that tree and 5 other trees trimmed seemed like a steal! Also included was a «cleanout», whatever that was supposed to be. They do not posess any commercial vehicles aside from a rented chipper/shredder. It is very unlikely that they are insured and by the graces of God and the ancestors, nobody got hurt, nor did they cause any damage to the house. However, all of the trees that they cut and one of my rabbits are now irrepairably damaged. Day 1: After agreeing to the price, a crew of laborers arrived and began work. First I noticed one guy looking at me all mean like I just ruined his plans for the night(wtf???) So this guy whips out a set of hedge cutters and starts trimming the bushes in my backyard. WTF? Never asked for it. Then started blowing all of the leaves from under my shrubs. All of this was done for like 15 minutes as he was standing in one spot, looking into my kitchen. Creepy… The shades were then closed. Finally arriving, the closest to professional was the young climber who did exactly what was needed and what I wanted with my trees. Unfortunately, after cutting 4 trees, he was worn out and was supposed to be replaced by another climber. While all of the tree cutting was going on, another laborer, not quite suited for heavy lifting was getting overwhelmed cleaning cut brush from the backyard. He was worn out early into the task and asked if I had anything cold to drink. I filled a cooler with ice and sodas, also brought out a couple of cups of ice water all supposed to be shared by everyone. While supervising the cutting,(the handler left) I see this guy stashing away most of the sodas I put in the cooler. Never told his«friends» and I had to get more sodas for the thirsty crew. I saw we were fast running out of light and decided to help clear the debris and bring it to the curb. That must have meant to work slower. Finally the new climber arrived, a much older man, with an equally rusty work ethic. This climber then decided that he could no longer work since it was getting dark, All meaningful work stopped at 8:30pm. They mulled around the house for a few more hours, doing absolutely nothing as the«handler» was their only transportation. Another part of the crew arrived and wanted to start cleaning up the yard with a gas blower, this was 9:30pm and I advised them to wait until the next day so that we would be considerate to my neighbors, some of them being elderly. In their circle, this was obviously a joke as it resulted in my request to keep the noise down to be repeated over and over followed by laughter. Other things they thought were funny was how one of the laborers accidentally cut down somebody’s prized dogwood while the homeowner was watching. The«handler» finally arrived and insisted that they would be back at 9am. Day 2: 10:30am passes and I called the number listed on the badly copied flyer and the person answered insisted they were 15 minutes away. Called again at 11:30 and 12:15pm. They finally returned at 12:45pm Saturday afternoon. When I felt how hot it was, I went to the store and purchased a few 12 packs of sodas and water for the«crew». When I returned 10 minutes later, I found they had left my yard a hot mess and started cutting the neighbor’s tree across the street. Of course my car and the wife’s car were parked right in front of the neighbor’s house and I had arrived just in time to see a thick branch dropped dangerously close to our cars. I just couldn’t figure out, why they would leave my yard unfinished twice and not even wait for me to return so I could move my cars out of danger! REALLY??? Cooler was brought into the house, let the neighbor feed the ingrates. When they were finished, the crew mulled around my yard for about an hour and most left for another work site complaining how hot it was.(because their work ethic states that when it is going to be 90° outside that they should start working at noon when the sun is at its peak… go figure.) I had to prod the crew to finish the big tree. The climber insisted he was done and was annoyed to climb back up into the tree and finish what he was supposed to do. He climbed back into the tree and started to hack the top branches off, but left a storm damaged branch and insisted it would«heal». At this point, I just wanted this band of rag tag lawn care people off my property. Chipper truck finally arrives at 3pm. I see nobody putting any branches into the hopper, so I entice them with the sodas that crew #1 forfieted. Work immediately starts. Chipper truck blocked our cars.
