This was probably the best pizza that I’ve had in a really long time. One small pizza can be split between two adults, and it ended up being a pretty good deal. The delivered the pizza to Mother Earth brewery across the street, which was very convenient. Good service too. Overall, would recommend.

URBN, oh how I’ve grown to love you. but only one type of your pizza. That mashed potato bacon pie– my god. I don’t even look at the menu… when a woman knows what she likes, why try anything else?! My friend and I stopped in to fill our bellies after too much alcohol and trivia. The employees were friendly, pizza was ready in a second, and we ate. My friend kept commenting the entire time about how she couldn’t believe I was eating something that wasn’t traditional pizza… and raving about it. I know, I know. but it’s THAT good. This location is awesome… directly across the street from Mother Earth, and they deliver to the brewery. Pizza and beer, beer and pizza… It’s the stuff I dream of at night. I’ll be back!

The potato bacon pizza is pretty great but the crust is usually a little too burnt for me. The wait time is also usually pretty long. It is awesome they deliver right into Mother Earth though!

Great pizza. This place is nicely done. It’s the small things that go a long way. Fresh lemon. Offerred water cups to all. Friendly service.

Always worth a stop. Quality staff, super pizza and salad, and a great location. Order anything as you cannot pick anything that will not turn out delicious.

I really love the pizza here! One of my favorite things about this restaurant is the simple menu. We always order a small with red sauce. Beware(it’s a good thing) of the«large» size pizza. It is huge! I made the mistake of ordering a large on my first visit and had leftover pizza for days. The small is perfect for 2 — 3 people. The large is great for 4 or more. We also love the salad they offer. There is only one type of salad and it is so delicious. The only downside to this place is when it’s busy. Friday nights are hectic — even for call-in orders. We tried calling in an order on a Friday evening and were on hold forever. We went in to order and the wait for our pizza was 45+ minutes. Fortunately, there are other shops and breweries across the street to explore and pass the time. I don’t think you can go wrong with any pizza you get here. Pick your toppings and enjoy. It is worth the wait during their peak times. It’s even better when they’re not busy and you can dine in.

No pizza is ever worth waiting over an hour for. Especially when the place was half empty and the pizza comes out burnt. The quality is nowhere near as good as Urbn in North Park or Basic in East Village. Very disappointed. I think the guys working here were too busy being hipsters rather than making pies. Save your money and sanity and go somewhere else. You’ll just end up hangry at yourself for wasting time and money here.

The food is good. Not the greatest but it’s pretty good. The potato white sauce pizza is unique and tasty. But let me tell you what affected the taste: THEGODDAMNMUSIC. As I sit here slow ballads of Frank Sinatra and other classics are blaring so loud directly in my ear I just want to run out. It seems loud enough to cater to senior citizens with their hearing aids off. My table can’t hold a conversation and it’s made the mood melancholy. Will never return. Might do delivery.

Having a couple flights at Mother Earth and started to get the munchies. Saw some pizza deliveries to other tables and found out about this place. Needless to say we called in our order and 30 minutes later we too were munching on some pretty decent pizza. We got a medium half and half with pepperoni on one side and mashed potato and bacon on the other. We weren’t really expecting much but were pleasantly surprised. Apparently they coal fire their pizza. Crust is nice and crispy. Pepperoni was slightly spicy. Mashed potatoes and bacon went really well together. Great overall experience without even stepping in to their place. If we ever find ourselves back at Mother Earth, we’ll likely be ordering from URBN again.

The husband and I were taking baby dude to SD for a photo shoot and decided to head out early so that we could grab lunch. The one thing that I had a major hankering for was Basic/Urbn pizza. Gotta love the bacon mashed potato on a white pie! As we were passing the 76, Unilocal pulled up the Urbn location in Vista. SCORE! We easily found the place located right across the street from Mother Earth Brewing and parked on the street. When you walk in, the bar is long and extends almost the whole right side of the wall. The décor is similar to the Urbn in North Park. What’s nice and different about this location is the open kitchen, which reminded me of Empire Slice House in OKC. You order at the counter and wait for your delicious pizza. Because this was my first meal of the day, we opted for a large. It took maybe 30 mins or so. We saw a couple people come in after us saying they had a pick up order. Seems to be the quicker option. The pizza came to us, piping hot. My one complaint was that the dough was severely burnt– I’m talking black on the bottom burnt :( Since I was starving like a mofo, I gulped up 4 slices and called it a day. Kinda disappointed, but the service was nice. Just wish the pizza was better!!!

What a bunch of a**holes workin at this place! We will never go back. Make sure you ask these idiots how long you will have to wait. So pissed

We were inside Mother Earth Brewing and noticed some people eating mashed potato pizza. After living in New Haven, CT for 5 years, we haven’t seen mashed potato pizza anywhere! We ran across the street to order a pizza(small is definitely enough to share for 2 people) and within maybe 10 minutes, they delivered to our table at Mother Earth. New Haven, CT has some of the highest reviewed pizza in the country(Bar Pizza, Pepe’s, Modern Apizza). URBN isn’t «exactly» the same but certainly the closest thing on the west coast we have found. Plus, they deliver to Mother Earth and it’s super cheap.

We came here tonight to get some pizza for the first time and we were highly disappointed. It had so many amazing reviews! We came in and ordered pizza and they said it would be 45 minutes so we decided to go across the street for a beer and have them deliver it there. We waited well over 45 minutes till I finally called to see what was going on. They said they got our order number wrong and and had been looking for us. When THEY had been the one to give us the number and we sat there starving waiting. When they finally brought the pizza over to us there were no apologies, all we got was a COLD pizza! Like seriously cold. I was blown away. We paid over $ 30 for one pizza and waited over an hour for pizza. The only reason this place got more than one star is because the pizza was still good cold. But when u are paying good money for food, bring it hot. And bring it on time! Or CALLUS so we can tell you where are instead of sitting there waiting patiently.

URBN is awesome. The pizza is amazing, the drinks are cold and refreshing, and the service is top notch. It’s great to see local places thrive and grow like this. We took the kids to the nearby play school for a couple hours and afterwards we decided to hit up URBN, which we had been to a couple times before. It was pretty slow inside but lunchtime was just getting started so we beat the crowds luckily. We found a seat inside(too hot outside) and perused the menu on the wall. Simple: small cheese pizza for the kids and a small pepperoni and black olive for us. We were originally going to get one large and do half and half, but their large size dough balls were left out overnight, whoops! No worries… The best part was an idea my wife had: maybe they would give us some pieces of dough to let the kids play with? «I probably shouldn’t since we’re low on dough, but I will anyway!» The dude was super cool and accommodating, great service! The pizzas came out super quick, and omg the smalls are huge! We had tons left over, which is not a problem at all in my book. The kids loved playing with their dough throughout lunch, and it was great to get out of the heat for a little while and enjoy some good pizza. We’ll definitely be back.

Walking distance from Mother earth brewery, they will deliver your pizza to you. There pizza’s are always tasty, and good portions to share between 4 people or so. You pay for each topping if I’m not mistake, right at the front counter. What’s cool is the unique items they have on the menu board to add to your pizza like artichokes, mashed potatoes, etc. If you sit around the bar area you can watch the employees make your pizza which is pretty neat. They sell beer and wine but nothing fancy just your basics house merlot, chardonnay. Soda machine, plates, silverware all in the same area, you can’t miss it. I like ordering a chicken, onion pizza. The chicken is well cooked and seasoned. So delicious. The only thing I don’t like is not having the option to add Avocado because I love Avocado.

My boyfriend and I have recently become addicted to Urbn. We knew about it but had never given it a chance until recently and they do an aaamazing job here. The energy is rad too It’s seriously the perfect crust, it’s paper thin but the crust is thick and chewy the coal fired oven gives it a super flavorful and unique taste that doesn’t compare to anywhere else! It does get tricky ordering sometimes because they place you on hold a lot but soo worth being patient! Love it!

This pizza is special. It’s thin crust, wood fired, fresh toppings. I like to get mine with fresh basil, garlic, sun dried tomatoes, pepperoni and mushrooms. Since I no longer live in town I have to make special visits whenever I can to have this incredible pizza. Drink some tasters at Mother Earth and have these guys deliver a pie.

First I want to start off with how amazing their salad is! It is safe to say that it is my favorite salad ever! I had been wanting to try it for a while and it did not disappoint! Make sure to add chicken because it is also amazing. Second thing to address is of course their pizza. OMG. Perfect pizza! My parents and BF do a weekly date night and whenever we’re in the mood for pizza this is our spot! You get to choose whatever toppings and sauce. The crust is just so perfect, it’s thin and tastes so yummy. I highly recommend going in a little earlier than planned because it usually takes about 30 – 45 min once you order. This is why we get our order sent to Wavelength Brewery while we wait and have a couple beers! YUM.

Came in here for lunch, I had seen the gorgeous looking pizza’s being delivered to the local brewery but this was the first time I went in as a customer. My friend and I custom ordered a pizza with our own toppings on each side. I got off the wall choices such as spinach and artichoke hearts, so I knew this was no ordinary pizza place and I was right! It was soooo fresh, and good. I like the taste of the crust straight out of the pizza oven and I did not feel like a fat pig when I was done consuming four slices, hehe. It was way lighter then the average American pizza, which is great for lunch time, especially if you are pairing with a beer. I plan on returning for their salad, and I hope it pleases me as much as their made to order pizzas.

urban interior, for lack of a better word. make your own pizza at this location. red sauce with no mozarella wasn’t bad. not greasy or too salty. sauce was sweet and tangy. chicken pizza with mozarella was better because the cheese brought the flavor together more. crust was thin, crispy, and chewy. a big pizza pet peeve of mine is dough with no flavor. imo, the dough shouldn’t be just a plate for the toppings. it itself should have it’s own flavor, which this place didn’t have. 3.5 stars.

Update: OMG get a better f****ING ordering system!!! It’s 2016 not 1980! Putting me on «hold» for 6 minutes why I listen to the co-workers laugh & talk to each other & flirt with the customers draaaaaging out their ordering time while I’m on hold is RIDICULOUS! The pizza is very good, but being left on hold like that is just not acceptable. I read a few other reviews where people say the same thing here & on Google. I hope the business reads these reviews & really makes a change. I wouldn’t order out from here again. Previous review : We ordered pizza for the family. We got 2 larges(plenty for 2 adults &2 kids). We ordered a white pizza w/mushrooms & pepperoni & a reg pepperoni pizza. I LOVED the white pizza — it was was amazing. Very rich taste! Very thin crust though — so you may need to order more to fill everyone up.

Trendy, well designed, modern interior with cavernous spaces. Real wood fired brick oven. Pizza is made from scratch. Menu is tightly focused– you choose regular red or white pizza base and then your toppings. Flavors were spot on — thin, chewy, flavorful crust. Toppings well integrated instead of falling off the slices. Large sized pies were enormous and easily fed two adults. You can split pizzas by toppings and even by base: half and half red and white pizza. Coolest thing is that they will deliver across the street to Mother Earth Brewing and give you your call number to take over there. After another visit, will perhaps bump to 5-star since the pizza is authentic Neopolitan and really nails it.

Located right off of Main Street down and vista they have a really nice location. There’s a large dirt lot catty corner to them so there’s plenty of parking. If you come during the rush you may have a bout a 30 to 45 minute wait for your food but it is well worth it. I highly recommend that you try the urban salad and add chicken and bacon to it. You will not be disappointed if you do that. Even if you were not a salad person you will like this salad. Also their pizza is very good. There’s a lot of different ones you can do but I would also highly recommend trying the potato and bacon pizza. When I first heard about it I thought it was a very odd combination but after ordering it and eating it I don’t think I will ever order another pizza besides that combination there again because of how good it is. They also deliver across the street to Mother Earth so if you want to go to Mother Earth and grab a couple beers you can have them deliver the pizza across the street which is pretty awesome. Overall a very good place for pizza and salad and if you were in the Vista area and looking for one or the other you should definitely stop there and eat.

Cute casual pizza with style. This was the first stop of my brewery crawl with my friends. We thought to eat first. We each decided to order a small pizza. What we should’ve done was to share a large. I wasn’t expecting a BIG pizza as a small… I thought maybe it was personal size. I’m not a big eater since my plan was liquid diet for the day. I only ate 2 slices from that pie! Pizza: choose size(small $ 10/large $ 16), choose sauce(white; olive oil, parm, garlic/traditional red), then toppings. They suggest up to four. The list is on the wall. It’s a thin crust pizza, almost Boston style. I got mine small, white sauce, ricotta(+$ 2), Italian sausage(+$ 2), and pesto(+$ 1). We sat at the bar because we wanted to watch the Navy/Norte Dame game, that day was hot as balls!!! Unfortunately, the A/C was down and we were sweating throughout lunch. Not even the beer helped… but the food was excellent! We shared the salad, which was a good portion for the 3 of us. Tossed with their special dressing, garden baby greens, feta, pear, candied nut. It was good! There’s a small selection of beers on tap, and a few can/bottled. I ordered their own brew, it’s a nice easy ale. Menu is on the wall, you can watch your pizza/salad being made in front of you behind the counter. The guys are friendly and prompt with service. Prices are good. Casual, good place to hang out. I’ll know next time to share the pizza! Loved it!

This is probably the best pizza that I’ve ever had and I had my fair share. This is not Pizza Hut or some other plain Jane spot from the size of the pizzas to the topping like garlic and sun dried tomatoes. This pizza is on the pricey side especially if you add more than two toppings. For a large you could easily spend about thirty bucks and yes the toppings are great so it’s worth every penny. There are a couple of tables outside and several large tables inside. I love that they have fountain drinks that you can help yourself to. This spot is a nice size and usually not to busy because most people are across the street at Mother Earth. This is some great pizza with wonderful toppings and they don’t short you on anything.

We went to urban on a Friday night and it was packed as usual sign said 45 mins wait for pizza. I still went and got my regular order salad, bread sticks and pizza. I always ask for my pizza to be under cooked if not then my pizza will be burnt and black. We got our salad and bread sticks with in 20 mins so we seat and waited for 45 mins before we asked what happen to our pizza and he said its an hour wait for pizza so I waited 75 mins later we got our pizza and it was burnt and black I ask them to make me a new one but for to go he says that how our pizza is and I said ok but I don’t want my pizza like that. 15 mins later we got our pizza and left I get home to eat my pizza and yep it was burnt and black. So I’m over this burnt pizza place. They got me out here eating this dark skin pizza WTF.

Fantastic pizza. I love that you can call and order to go, or delivery when you are at the Wine Bar across the street or the Brewery. They will deliver to you but it usually takes an hour or so. Faster to call and pick up. My girls and I were painting at 50 Barrels and walked down to order some food because we wanted half this and half that. See pics posted for salad and pizza. The guys were super cool and friendly. We told them we’d just come back to grab it. Easy as it comes. He actually came down and delivered it for us! He also brought all the fixings. Chili’s, Cheese and utensils. Really thoughtful and great service as well as great PIE! Oh and their URBN salad is amazing. They only have one but they do it right! A must have.

I would say i am a pizza person. So i write this with the understanding that each pizza place will be different. Some places like to speack highly of there dough or toppings. Urban is great dough and toppings. Yes anyone can put mashed potatoes on a pizza. But theyput the right amount with garlic and bacon is never over or under cooked. My only thing and its big for me. The wait. Now bro who wants to wait 50mins for pizza most of anytime you call. Expand the building alrdy vista is putting alot of money into the growth of the town. Unless you think prohibition is going to start again mother earth is bringing mass people to your establishment. People that like pizza wait time is huge i would suspect thats the reason little ceasars is still cooking up pizzas «Roadway to Unilocal elite»

I like that they use fresh ingredients and that it’s easy to customize the pizzas. The small pizza is more like a large, I cannot imagine what a large pizza would look like. Staff is friendly and helpful. No attitude, thank you very much! It takes about 40 – 45 minutes to make the pizzas during dinnertime. The pizza does tend to get soggy, I had to take my leftovers and stick it in the oven to heat up.
