Don’t hesitate. I took a ring to John that I wanted redesigned. I was very nervous about the process as the ring had great sentimental value and I wasn’t sure my vision would be represented in the final outcome. The ring exceeded my expectations! I am just tickled beyond words! Beautiful craftsmanship and attention to detail. Love that I’ve found someone local and am able to support our community. I have found my jeweler! Thank you, John!

Walked in to have a watch I purchased online fit to my wrist. John was able to fix it for me immediately and if I remember correctly I think I only paid $ 8 or less. Service was fast and he was so pleasant.
Place has a nice, small town neighborhood business feel to it. Love to support the «little guys» when I can!

It’s nice to know there are true artist still out there when it comes to jewelry. John does great work at a fair price. It’s good to have a jeweler you can trust.

I’ve always loved jewelry, even thought about going into design I guess it’s genetic, lol my grandfather was a jeweler and had his own store for 50 years. This is all to say I know quality when I see it!!! My husband had been shopping around and we’ve both have been looking for a place that could bring my ring to life. So many said they could and then they finally admitted they couldn’t. I had become skeptical where the heck have jewelers gone??? Well John not only made my ring but even better!!! And the warmth kindness of the entire time staff is amazing. And better yet their prices super amazing for the actual craftsmanship and superior work. Bring ur business here! You won’t regret it!!!

I purchased a Marine Corps watch from ebay and it was too loose and the band was difficult to open. I brought in the watch in to Vick and he helped me He even removed two of the links for me.

Took a fine watch in for battery replacement. After I leave the watch comes open. Take it back, they put in oversized battery, the guy tries to force it in and breaks a spring. Take it to a legitimate jewelry repair, $ 293 to repair the damage. Think maybe you should switch to vacuum cleaners or lawn mowers, you are clearly not qualified.

My husband took some of my jewelry here to be repaired and John was very nice and fair to him. Repairs were excellent! Will be back soon!

My wife’s wedding and engagement ring, that i bought from another jeweler, needed a repair and cleaning and John did an amazing job! It looks better now then it did when it was new! I can’t thank you enough n because now i have extra brownie points, and I didn’t do anything! Sweet!

I have been to Sharkarian’s for all of my watch maintenance needs (I have a Tag Heur, Movado and several Nixon’s) for several years. Every single time their prices are fantastic, the service is fast and flawless and they have the utmost integrity. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I went in to talk about repairing my wedding ring. John took the time to examine my ring while I was there and explain (using a magnifying glass) what repairs he recommended and why.
We agreed on the cost and when it would be done. The quality of workmanship exceeded my expectations. I was apprehensive at first, not having any previous experience with this store.
I would highly recommend John for repairs and designing new jewelry as well.
I had the work done several months ago and finally got around to adding this much deserved review.

John buys gold and he is VERY honest so I would encourage you to bring your unwanted gold to John and his associates because the other buy gold companies are shifty. We have been doing business with John for quite some time and will always. As said before, he treats all of his customers nicely with respect regardless of what is being purchased; whether expensive or not.

I have been visiting John’s shop for many years. In the past, my visits were usually to have a watch battery replaced or to have a piece I already owned fixed (anything from getting a new jump ring on a necklace to getting a ring resized). Even though it was small work, John always took excellent care of me. Recently, I was in the market to design a couple of nice pieces for myself. I knew exactly where to go, having admired John’s work for many years at that point. I came in with loose stones and John worked with me to create a classic pair of earrings and a unique and beautiful ring. He worked with me to make sure I was happy with the idea throughout the process. He even sent me a high quality image of exactly what the pieces would look like to get my final approval before moving forward to making it. AND in the end, he came in right on budget for the one of the pieces and under budget on the other. I couldn’t be happier.
John is an excellent jeweler. We are very lucky to have him in our neighborhood.

Just this last week we picked up my new wedding ring that my husband had made for our 10^th Anniversary. it’s absolutely GORGEOUS. John is the best jeweler ever! We came in with a general idea of a wedding ring for John to design using diamonds from my mother and late fathers wedding set. John took the time to expand on our idea with several options. When we decided on a design he provided a computerized visual sample of how it would look. John emailed us the original design but used his expertise to give us 2 other options. We were blown away by his design suggestions and the fact that he didn’t just stop at the original design. He went a step further to create the ring of our dreams. We couldn’t be any more pleased with his creativity and detail. He truly has a gift. We’ve already spoken with him about creating other pieces. This is a family business that has been around for many years and I can see why. We felt so comfortable entrusting him with a wedding ring I will have forever. He definitely deserves a 5 star rating.

I was there 4÷9÷13. Needed new batteries in my motorcycle clocks. Out of three other local shops, this was the shop that got the clocks open, and batteries changed in minutes. They were very friendly the price was right. I browsed the jewelry selection and found several unique pieces the I’m sure the wife would welcome in her collection. My overall experience was excellent, and I will go back.
Bonus: they are right next door to the mother earth tap house!

Having a long time friend in the jewelry business in Canada made me leery of taking my valuables to an unknown shop here, but after 3 different occasions I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending John Shakarian and Vic !! I must add the pricing is excellent for the quality of work.

John Shakarian is an incredible jeweler. He can create just about anything in a custom design. I very much appreciate the fact that he can do all the repairs on site including the laser welding. He has done some quick turn-​around jewelry repair for me with that, where most jewelers would have to bring it somewhere else. Of course, his location in Vista makes it very convenient for me also!

I got both of my Kenneth Cole watches battery replaced. I will say, you get what you pay for, the man who replaced the batteries left marks on the back face on both watches as well as the leather bracelets. He also did not bother cleaning once he put the new battery in. Both of my watches are decent watches therefore, I would not recommend this shop.
