First the staff are so friendly and helpful! You will get the best service here. I’m from the east coast and I can’t find a place that makes pizza as good as back home. I had high hopes for this place. I got a slice of the cheese pizza and a slice of the buffalo chicken pizza. The cheese pizza was good for California pizza but not like home. I highly suggest getting the buffalo chicken pizza! Any other place I regret getting something like this but I will definitely be returning for more. I’m anxious to try the other pizzas I saw too. It’s definitely worth stopping here!

This place would probably be better if you ordered a whole fresh pizza. When going in to get a slice or some garlic knots, everything just seems old and overpriced. Still, if you are only wanting a slice or two, it’s really your only option in this area. **update– it isn’t the only place. Come to find out pizzamaniac(by vista high) has pie by the slice as well!

Really New York style pizza, delicious! Made the bad decision though of coming at 9, so the pizza wasn’t the freshest. He over heated it to compensate and burnt. But the caesar salad was delicious plus I really loved the idea of the white pizza. Tasted little good besides that !!!

I was pretty impressed by the place. The deals are great and the staff is friendly. The owner was nice and told us about the events coming up for the weekend. My only grievance is the place seemed so empty. There wasn’t enough ambiance. I don’t even believe I heard music playing. Great pizza and I will continue to come back especially now that I know about the beer events.

Pizza is good. Service is great. Beer specials are off the chart! What more do you want? All haters, SUCK! Great local place which keeps in contact with there customers via email. 4 stars because it could be much better at promoting sports and what not. Still support and love the place!

We bought a pizza from here because 1. it was open till 10:00 pm, and it was 9:18 pm, 2. Everyone I know tells me it’s good pizza, but they all say it could be pricey. 3. it’s near my house and 4. I like the variety. Well with all that said I was excited to try it. I watched them making pizza and I’m thinking wow. We ordered a Manhattan(pepperoni, sausage, & meatball — 20.95), lasagna(9.95), and garlic knots(6 for 4.00). Big disappointment. 1. The pizza was horrible. Thin like we want but was hard and dry, the topping was bland. IMHO it was $ 15.00 too much. I’ve had $ 6.00 pizzas that tasted better than this. 2. The lasagna tasted worst than frozen lasagna from the grocery store. 3. The garlic knot tasted yummy but it was like eating a pretzel that has hardened from sitting on the shelf all day. First of the prices are high $ 20 and above for a pizza, which would be reasonable for a great pizza but it wasn’t even close to good pizza much less great one. If you want to waste $ 40.00 go ahead and order this meal. As for me, this is the first and last time. I wouldn’t even bother if they were giving away free pizza.

So… First time here and definitely won’t be the last… Staff was friendly… We got the two slices and a drink for 7.00… Definitely worth it… The slices were almost to big to finish but so good I couldn’t stop… Building was incredibly clean… All around great experience

I’m sorry I have to do this… I’m in the parking lot after buying 2 slices… I came about a month ago and had an employee at the register take money from the customer in front if me and then touch my pizza slices… I called the owner he said the guy was new etc… I just bought 2 pieces and a different employee than the last time touched them with his hands(nice young Hispanic man) and took my money and as I left I saw him pick up the sauce lid and put it back on the sauce… I know employees are hard to train and keep but they need to understand the sanitary rules of a restaurant… and how serious it is… you are on stage for everyone to see when you are in the service business… good luck!

decent pizza but the restaurant seating area is not very homey or welcoming. Also, a couple cockroaches were walking around the back seating area.

I wish I would’ve seen the reviews before I wasted $ 21 on a shitty lasagna and mozzarella sticks. I told myself it cost more because it’s probably really good. NOPE not even close! I had to spit out the lasagna it was so gross in my FIRST bite(and that’s my favorite meal ever!!!) and the cheese sticks were so chewy it was disgusting. And then as I waited 20 mins for my food alone with no other customers there, the guys in the kitchen area were being so inappropriate. What they were talking about and what they were calling each other was so rude especially in front of a customer. «Fag boy» «queer» I couldn’t believe it. This is not a family restaurant and the owners should be really disappointed in there employees. I threw away my $ 21 meal I could have gone somewhere better. I will never be back and I will be sure to tell my friends and family not to waste there time or money here.

Wish I had read all the reviews earlier. I was not at all impressed with their pizza. There were no prices listed on their board, so I was surprised to pay over $ 21 for one large pizza(for about the same price I can get two large at Pizza Hut, across the parking lot). There were no slices in the front case. I don’t know what section of New York this pizza style is based on, but it did not resemble what I ate on the streets in New York. The pizza was ok, but not much flavor and skimpy on the cheese.

Sub par pizza at best… I’ve been to New York… I’ve had their pizza… These guys pizza was bland topping on top of a stale piece of cardboard… If you’re into IPAs they do have several there… I had to sit there the entire time while listening to the douche bag owner go on trashing previous employees and on about how other local pizza joints aren’t as good as his… I didn’t like how he talked with his current staff either, very unprofessional… Needless to say I won’t be back…

I ordered from here because it was rated 4.5 stars, but I was truly disappointed in this place. I ordered online which was very simple and the pickup time was within 20 min, which was awesome. When we went to pick it up, I was pleasantly surprised with the look of the place, service was fast and friendly, but then he said that the mozzarella sticks’ price was changed and they hadn’t fixed the website yet. So instead of 8 mozzarella sticks for 6.95, it was 6 for 6.95. When it was 8, I already thought it was pricey, but 6 for 6.95? Over a dollar per stick? Fine, whatever. I took it anyways hoping they were amazing. But they were actually less than ordinary. Plus the breading was weird, not like the nornal crumbly breading, and the cheese was chewy. Not worth it at all. We got the Queens white pizza, which has everything I like on pizza, and it’s similar to the pizza I normally order at Pauly’s Pizza Joint which I love, so I figured I couldn’t go wrong with that. Well, I did. The crust was thin like I prefer, but along with the crust, the cheese on it was all hard and dry. And the toppings just didn’t taste like anything. It was really bland. I had one slice and I was done. I did order the cheesy bread sticks and I have to say at least that was good. Very cheesy and garlicy. Plus it was cheap. Sadly, the bread sticks along won’t be enough to make me come back here.

Never again. New to the area. Excited to try a new place b/c the reviews are so great!. We ordered a calzone & hot wings. The hot wings were average, drenched in what tasted like Frank’s Red Hot(nothing special). The calzone was just HORRIBLE! The top layer of crust was so thin & doughy, I thought it was covered with just cheese at first. The ricotta cheese on the inside had a crumbly/mealy texture and was tasteless. I actually threw it away. I’ll stick to Big Bob’s Pizza for the best calzones ever… too bad they don’t deliver here in Vista.

Was excited to try a new place, lots of great reviews. Submitted an online order at 4:32 p.m. and received online confirmation — everything seems great. 6pm rolls by and I finally call…“Oh, yeah we never got that. Our systems must be down. Would you like to place the order now?” Kids are hungry for pizza, so sure(one last chance).“Ok, that will be another 50 minute wait — there are a lot of orders coming in”. No thanks, thought your systems were down. Such b.s. I’m sure this place is legit for good food, but the customer service needs to be addressed. I’m not afraid to share my opinion at this point and the word of mouth travels a lot farther than expected… not a good way to start in the community. Best of luck, but we won’t be trying this again. Rather take my five dollars to crappy Little Caesars — at least we will feed the kids.

The best pizza by slice in the vista area. They sell by the whole also. Upon entrance, you’re presented with about 5 – 8 different types of pizzas in the display case. Order your slices and it’ll get warmed in about 4 – 6 minutes. A perfect spot for a quick bite. The deal is $ 6.50($ 7.05 after tax) for two slices and a soda. A tough deal to beat and the perfect midweek dinner alone. Pizzas are above average. Dough is nicely crispy and cheese and toppings are proportioned perfectly. Cheese is usually nicely melted.

I’ll start with the good: they make a pretty good chicken parmigiana. The chicken is tender and moist and not fried for too long. And the cheese is delicious. Also, they are very friendly. We tried their pizzas. The queens pizza was supposed to have ricotta cheese but I couldn’t taste it at all. All I could taste was spinach that was near expiration. Sorry guys, I was very disappointed by this because the ingredients on the menu sounded amazing. I also tried their baked ziti pizza and it was very bland. Pretty disappointed also. We didn’t even finish our slices and we tossed them :( Since the chicken parm was so good, I thought I’d try the eggplant parm. Bad idea. Terrible sandwich. I ate the cheese and threw away the rest. I hate giving friendly people bad reviews, but my duty is to fellow Unilocalers. If you want an excellent chicken parmigiana sandwich, come here. If you want pizza, though, I wouldn’t recommend it.
