I go to this store once in a while but everyone who work there SO nice! I had my passport photo taken and lady let me pick a image that I liked the most. She was patient. Lady at the checkout is extremely friendly and is an asset to this store! Absolutely love shopping here whenever I need some type of items… Great!

Visited this Walgreens many times. It is a very convenient location right off of Shore. Always good customer service. Store is usually clean and organized. Very good about having all the seasonal stuff out. I always use the drive through pharmacy and never had a problem. Will email or text you when prescription is ready! Sign up for their rewards and save big!

How long have I been a customer of this store? Since the store was first built and the staff of Bayside Pharmacy, which I had always frequented, moved to the new Walgreens. Bayside Pharmacy is now but a memory. Walgreens has become the anchor pin of Shore Drive & Pleasure House Road. There is a down side to this store’s success. Picking up a prescription during the rush after work or weekend time period can involve a long wait. I’ve found it more convenient to use the drive thru. You avoid the sneezing & coughing of others waiting for drugs. It’s an opportune time to listen to music & read news on one’s smart phone. Best of all is that they always offer a dog biscuit to my constant companion, who will quickly remind them if they forget. There are not enough superlatives to describe the Walgreens iPhone app. Ordering refills is as simple as opening my prescription list & clicking the refill button. They then text me when the order is ready for pickup. Speaking of the prescription list… How many times have you been asked by a doctor for your new meds and have been at a loss to remember a long convoluted generic name? I pull out my iPhone, open the Walgreens app, scroll down the list & hand the phone to the doctor. The list includes dosage, strength & every detail the doctor could possibly need. The text messages when a prescription is ready are invaluable when your doctor’s staff is remiss in letting you know he has called in a prescription. That happened to me today. I got a text indicating I had a prescription ready. Immediately suspecting the med I had been prescribed yesterday had been changed, I opened the app. A check of the prescription status section showed the details of a new prescription awaiting pickup. Clicking on the name of the drug takes one to detailed information on the med, including descriptive lay men’s terminology such as antibiotic. The dog & I picked up the new prescription. I have yet to hear about the med change from the doctor’s staff. Can I say one more thing about the app? You can add reminders, in the form of push notifications, to take certain meds. This is very helpful if you take a pill at mid-day in the midst of a hectic schedule. You pick & choose which med requires a reminder & the timing of the notification. How many ways can I tell you that the Walgreens app is wonderful! The store itself is conveniently located & is easily accessed from either Shore Drive or Pleasure House Road. It’s popular with the Chick’s Beach tourists in the summer, thus accounting for a plethora of beachy items placed in displays at the front of the store. The store could benefit from a little less display clutter. Sometimes it makes one feel claustrophobic. There is a large selection of over the counter meds. Flu shots are available on demand, easily billed to your insurer. Of course you can also purchase just about anything your heart desires from motor oil to milk to beach towels. But… This is a drug store review. So let’s get back to the drugs. With the exception of a battle of the wills with a large health insurer a few years ago, Walgreens is very insurance friendly. It is the preferred pharmacy for a number of Medicare Part D plans. And if one finds them self in the coverage gap, Walgreens prices beat all the other top echelon Medicare choices. What could be done to improve my experience at the Shore Drive Walgreens? Two drive through lanes appropriately staffed, at least two people at the pharmacy counter during rush hours & less display clutter at the front of the store. It would also be great if the pharmacy technicians learned to spell my last name. And how about multiple gourmet dog biscuits offered for the discerning palate of anxiously awaiting canine companions?

The pharmacy here has a total lack of regard or respect for people’s time. Supposed to open at 10:00am on Sunday 10:15 and no pharmacist. Corporate needs to crack down on this store.

I utilized Walgreens photo department through their online uploading system. It was simple to use, pics directly to the store of your choosing and a timetable is provided for pick up. If you don’t like they way they turn out you don’t pay. Look for coupons if you are getting more than 25. Small orders will not have a deal. I have used Walgreens photo department in the past and will continue to do so as a convenient way to get quick quality photos and a decent price.
