Tempt Restaurant Lounge

OMG what a joke. One server for five tables? Really? My crab crake sandwich consisted of a 1/​8″ crab cake with a 3″ hard as a rock bun. Really? Not good! Go to Big Sam’s.

We did something different from our usual. We stuck to small plates with my wife and I sharing appetizers. The coconut shrimp were large, crispy and had good flavor. The very well marinated and tender chimchurri steak slices came on a bed a very nicely prepared sweet potato fries. We each had soups. I had the she crab soup which was delicious. My wife had the New England style clam chowder which was rich and had good flavor. Things slipped a bit with the caramel sauced apple pie with ice cream with which finished our meal. It was very ordinary. We should have followed our attentive and helpful waiter“s advice when he suggested the deep fried oreos. One of the owners came by and was gracious and concerned about how our meal was progressing.

It’s been about a year since the last time I went to Tempt. No particular reason why, just haven’t got around to it. I have been here several times and every time the food has been amazing. The service can be hit or miss depending on how busy the place is. I came for my birthday last year with a large party and it was extremely difficult to get a reservation because the manager would never call me back. Finally I got the reservation and when we get there on my birthday, they set us up at a table squeezed in the back with less chairs than the reservation was set for. It took a while to get that mess figured out, but eventually they changed the seating and put us in the middle of the room with ample room to accommodate all of my guests. The rest of the night went well and the food and service was great.
My husband and I came back for our anniversary dinner a month after that and had great service and the food was good as well. My steak had to be sent back as it was over cooked but the waitress was very accommodating and kind and even gave me a complimentary glass of wine. They know how to treat their customers and make sure to fix any issues with grace and dignity. I will certainly be back!

Nice place… owner is always there… bartenders very friendly… good food and affordable especially for the location. Pretty much locals only.

Went to Tempt last night for the first time. So satisfying! Beautiful dimly lit, warm, cozy atmosphere. Nice bar area as well as separate dining area. They took our reservation for 12 with no problem. Service was accommodating & flexible with our late arriving guests. The steak chimichurri appetizer was so scrumptious & huge! also, I had the scallop entre’ which came with sautéed spinach & Panko encrusted mashed potato cake! So delicious! I will definitely return here.

A fun place to eat, drink, and listen to music. They offer a variety of different options on their menu, although nothing for Vegans which was disappointing. When we asked if the chef could make up something… we were told no. Not great customer service on their part that night.
Everyone else enjoyed their food that night. The fish tacos were good as were the wings. The music is always a good time.

Excellent experience here. Our waitress (who was also the bartender) was wonderful and put up with our toddler making messes! We tried the Oysters Rockefeller like all the reviews say to do; I thought they were pretty good, my husband thought they were delicious. Their she-​crab soup and the pineapple upside down cake drink I had were so yummy!

Oh yeah! Cougar city meets awesome bar food. Go to just watch the wanna be’s flirt with the has beens. Hilarious and oh so addictive.
Fantastic food (steak bites are amazing) and the crowd/​music scene … all joking aside. is really fun!
A very cool, hip place for those that finally hit puberty, over the college and club scene… and maybe had a divorce and popped out a kid or three.

Good food in a nice atmosphere … The bar and staff very welcoming to a single traveller like me … Definitely recommend!

Dinner with our two teens last night. Food was fantastic and a good value. Service quite good and half price bottles of wine! Highly recommend and will be back.

Five stars for the oysters rockafellers. Since I had them a year ago, they are still consistent. Every oyster was plump, juicy, and succulent. The topping was perfect (not dry) and had a lot of flavor. Whatever technique they use is on-​point for these bad boys.
Calamari was also delicious. The breading is one that seemed different from any other I’ve tried. It was really good and fried perfect (oxymoron? Lol). I like how it is served with a traditional marinara keeping it simple and not taking away from the flavor of the squid. I personally prefer thicker cut pieces and the tail of the squid but, it was all good! I’d order these again.
Split Pea soup! Now, I make this at home all the time and have never tried anyone else’s! Wow! Tempt, you all did pretty good with this! My cousin and I were watching a couple across the bar not talking while enjoying two cups of what appeared to be split pea. Their faces were priceless as they were eating their soup. My cousin and I were mesmerized! so… We just HAD to try a cup! Lol we ended up getting a bowl that we shared. I believe the soup was puréed and pieces of sausage were incorporated. My cousin prefers bacon. Me… I could go veggie w/​split pea and be happy. This dish was def not lacking flavor and had a peppery kick. Was sooo good! Great job Tempt!

Great spot for locals and visitors alike. The food here is unbelievable and the bar layout lends itself well to socializing with friends and fellow patrons. Make sure you check out Tuesday nights here with live music, and great food and drink specials.

Have always been a fan of their burger, but today tried the wings. I have to say they were excellent. Crispy, good spice, not overly sauced. The ranch was ridiculously good… thicker than you usually get. We actually asked for extra celery just to have something to eat it with! This place has a very popular happy hour during the week.

We came here the first time before they changed their name from Tayst to Tempt. Was really hoping we would have a great place to go to. For the price, to me it isn’t worth it. The food seemed a bit over cooked and couldn’t get the waiters attention for refills.

Relaxed atmosphere at the oceanfront, just far enough off the beach to avoid the hustle and bustle but still in walking distance. Plenty of parking available. Happy Hour, App., & Chalkboard Dinner specials nightly. Best of both worlds with a nice Lounge Bar area and good sized Restaurant area when you’re ready to sit down to eat. Two fireplaces add to the atmosphere. Menu is reasonable and well prepared with good variety. Oysters Rock are off the hook, and the Tempt Salad is also great starter. Try the Fried Oreo’s for dessert but leave your diet at home. Awesome place to hang with friends for cocktail and a bite to eat or a great dinner rendezvous.

Great place to stop in for Happy Hour and grab a bite. I have yet to have a full sit down meal with a waitress and the whole shebang.
Oysters Rock is great and the drinks are poured with a heavy hand and that keeps me coming back. It has the best of both worlds, a cool bar scene with a separate seating area for a romantic sit down with out to much noise. I probably visit once a week to catch up with friends and have a post work cocktail.
They have a fireplace in the back to keep you warm and fuzzy on those cold nights and you will be sure to run into the local 60 somethings telling fishing and duck hunting stories.
All around great place, I will return for food and drink, deserves every bit of 4 stars.
Con — They need to resolve the front door issue for summer and winter. when the door opens which is often, cold and hot air come pouring in. Bad for there power bill and for customers
