I ordered Sammy’s while I was waiting for my laundry to dry at Washland. I ordered the two hotdogs and fries combo. Not bad! My only complaint was that the sweet tea tasted watered down. I’m a big fan of sweet tea, too!

Sammy’s is clearly a locals hangout… it’s a relaxed attitude bar/​restaurant with some awesome staff. On our first visit we were greeted by all the staff– bartender, waitress, and owner… and although they were out of nacho chips, the cook ran next door to get some for my order. Drinks are excellent including a very nice margarita (kind of my benchmark for good drinks)… there’s frequent entertainment and karaōke. VERY comfortable bar with friendly clientele and welcoming staff. Décor– wise there is nothing special about the place, but there’s a pool table, an electronic dart board, and overall it’s a great place to hang out. Very much enjoyed by hubby and myself and we WILL be back.
