Decent for a dive, but they allow smoking, yuck. The food is all from Zero’s in the front. We had a gift certificate and ordered a bunch of stuff… the pizza, the crust was meh. The wings were average. The BBQ was meh. The bacon grilled cheese was the best thing. The beers were nice and cold and cheap! This is definitely a place to go for some drunk food with all of it’s cheesy marinara glory.

Place is a dump and full of thugs. There is no ventilation so the place fills up with smoke very quickly. I cant understand how this place stays open for business . Dirty and smelly no thank you.

Yes a pretty rough place. However if you catch it on a slower weekday, it’s actually not half bad. Definitely smokey in there so you will reek of it mainly on the busy nights. The bartenders are cool and the prices are cheap, so if it’s past twelve, had a long day, not quite ready to end it you are over by Q masters, and it’s not a weekend, it will do! Neat little place with what they did since the previous post. Zeros is the bomb also when you are starving that late! 5 bucks for a bangin footlong! So it’s not all bad. Two and a half, and a three when you need a late night hole to fall in.

There’s a certain mystique to dive bars and even being a regular at one. Some places can be a hole in a wall, dusty, in need of a paint job and still retain a great amount of character and customer loyalty. Parlay’s II, located in the back room of a Zero’s Submarine sandwich establishment, isn’t one of them. This place was a dump like a toilet bowl that has been used but not cleaned for 10 years. I went here for a friends birthday last night and I’m telling you this place was such a pit it would make any bar in Ocean View look like upper class institution. The establishment was filthy, in a scummy sort of way. Ventilation was poor so it was was full of smoke. The mens room was soaking wet from misfires. The crowd was predominately a early to mid 20’s skinhead heavy metal type of crowd… everyone covered in tattoos, piercings, etc. and they had karaōke. The prices weren’t bad, so long as you don’t mind semi cold beer from the tap. Lord knows, I would never eat here. I ended up having a couple of beers and shot the breeze for a while but only stayed as long as I felt I could stay without looking rude for leaving to early. Did it, done it and nailed it shut. One visit was enough.
