Absolutely loved our visit! We decided to stop by on our last night in VA Beach and are thrilled with the find. Portions are great, prices are reasonable, and the food is awesome! Fresh baked bread is a must try! The service is friendly and prompt. We are hoping to come again when we are back next year!

Excellent place much more modern then you’d think. Got the chicken parm and it was great and the rest of my party got the lasagna and loved it. Highly recommend this place to any vacationer, prices are perfect for the quality and quantity of the meal as the parm was only $ 13 and the lasagna was only $ 10.

3.5 stars, rounded up to 4, because I can tell the food is generally good. The menu lacks descriptions, though, which meant we didn’t get quite what we expected.
The Greek salad was good. Lots of good feta on it.
The steak & cheese sub was good, but not as ordered. My friend asked for «just meat, cheese, lettuce, & mayo» & it came out with cooked onions & peppers (no mention of on the menu or from the server), no mayo, & lettuce & tomato on the side.
I ordered the Italian sub with lettuce, tomato, onions, mayo, & oil & vinegar. There was no mayo or o & v & very little onion. There was also not nearly as much meat on it as most place.
The bread for the subs was awesome, though, so I’m sure the subs could be awesome if they were right. I’d like to try the pizza & pastas, as I’m sure this place is good, just details off.

Very good food, best meat ball sub I have ever eaten. Small salad big enough for two adults. Bread for subs is outstanding. Highly recommend eating here.

Absolutely love their salad and roasted broccoli. An excellent fresh addition to their menu. Being a healthy eater I appreciate having healthy food options on a pizza menu. I really appreciate the detail to the cuisine and recommend anyone to try it. Their Tiramisu is incredible!

Simple put, the food is AMAZING. If your going out for great Italian food you cannot go wrong. If your looking for atmosphere this is not the place. It’s quite plain and a bit of a mess. Looks like a young Italian family running it and they get swamped. And for good reason. Not only is the food, hands down some of the best and authentic I have had outside of my Italian families home, the prices are very reasonable and the portions are huge. My wife’s baked ziti was more than enough for both of us. The lasagna is equally large. The sautéed baby spinach I could’ve eaten as a meal it was so tasty. We ordered carryout and the 30 to 40 minutes I was quoted turned into an hour. I could’ve gigged them a star or two for the long wait and the mess but the quality of the food is so darn good I got over it.
Hopefully in the not too distant future they’ll be able to take a breath, hire some help and do some organizing and atmosphere improvements.

Delicious yet reasonably inexpensive Italian in an informal atmosphere. Lasagne was superbly cheesy and the house made cheese ravioli was really enjoyable. We look forward to trying the pizza next time.

Decided I wanted to try some Italian with out the hassle of going to a restraunt and waiting 60 hours. I actually made the order online via their website and order-​up, I thought that was awesome they also deliver. I ordered the homemade lasagna went to pick it up about 10’mins later they were very nice and authentic. The lasagna was everything I was hoping it to be. Most places will served pasta and it will be flavorless and bland however this particular place it tasted to be pretty authentic and well seasoned. And the portion size is very large for only $ 9.00, you may want to share or not… Lol And it’s right on the oceanfront parking is right on the side of the place.

Don’t sleep on this place! This hole in the wall on 19th street is packing some serious flavor. Hands down some of the best Italian food I’ve had at the oceanfront and at a reasonable price. Definitely a must try! And save some room for a cannoli or tiramisu, you won’t be disappointed.

As others have said, if you’re looking for upscale, this isn’t it, but if you’re looking for really good Italian food without all the fanfare, you won’t be disappointed! The meatball subs are excellent & the chicken marsala is a definite keeper too (and we’re pretty critical of Italian restaurants)! Good food, large portions, and reasonable prices!

I give it 5 stars since it is so much better than it looks. If it’s fancy surroundings you are looking for, this is the wrong place. Possibly the best New York style pizza in the area. We tried the Tiramisu, as well, it was in a plastic cup and thought it may be store bought, but it was homemade and good.
Unfortunately, deserts were scaled back out of season. Look forward to trying the Macaroons.
There is free parking in the hotel lot. We were the only ones there on a Monday night in October, they appeared to be fairly busy with take out but not very busy inside.
I don’t think they serve beer or wine, which is unfortunate.

The staff is true Italian here. The restaurant needs a little updating. Way overpriced, but so is everything else near Atlantic Ave. The baked Ziti was good and served nice and hot. I was dissapointed in the cannoli as it was hard/​stale and the filling was not good.

Had the best Italian Subs! Plenty of meat, melted cheese, and fresh baked bread. Went back later for some amazing Canolis for dessert! Completely impressed!! I would go back in a second. As a Jersey Girl I am picky with my pizza and Italian food and Bistro 19 did not disappoint.

My wife and I brought the kids in here for their 2 slice and a drink special. we’ll be back for sure, the pizza was good and affordable if you consider how high the prices can get on the ocean front.
The desserts looked really good, would go back just to try those.
