DO NOT GET LASHES HERE!!!
This lady didn’t use eyelash glue she used hair glue (like for a weave) she used too much glue creating one giant clump of lashes! I tried not to get too overwhelmed but once I got home I knew it was bad so I tried w everything to get them off that day! I don’t think she has ever done eyelashes I think they just didn’t want to send me away cause that was an easy 25 bucks! Lesson learned, you get what you pay for.

I go to Top Star as a walk-​in a couple times a month for pedicures and am normally given a chair right away. On occasions when I do have to wait, the average time is 10 minutes. This shop is run smoothly and efficiently, and the price difference when compared to salons down the hill makes this place a win-​win.

Went back today even though my visit there 3wks ago left me wondering WHY I still patronize them. Walked in and was told «15min wait»…after 40 mins I was finally told to sit at a station. The male technician started on my nails and got them filed down to the ‘rough’ stage before the acrylic, when he got up and went to paint another customer’s nails!!! I sat there for 5 more minutes only because I really didn’t want to leave with my nails all messed up the way he had left them but the more I sat, the more mad I got.
Their customer service is THE WORST! Another gal who was there for a pedicure also walked out a few minutes before I did after the same thing happened to her in the pedicure station.
If they don’t have enough people to tend to EVERYONE that walks in, they should NOT tell them it’s a few minutes wait or seat them just so we can sit and wait while they tend to others, who probably had waited too.
They need to care more about the client instead of the DOLLAR! I will NOT ever go back there.

If I could give no stars, I would. I went here Friday night just before closing. I understand that it was near closing time, but if they were short on time they should have just told me to come back later.
Instead I was hurried while picking my color and was subjected to a rushed job. While picking my color, the manicurist repeatedly told me she was ready. Then, when I finally got my color, she didn’t even bother to change the towel my hands and arms were resting on.
Not only was she very rude, she did a very poor job on my nails. They looked so bad I removed the polish once I got home. My fingernails were painted so poorly. There were a lot of air bubbles, polish was missing from the sides, it looked wrinkly, and the top coat didn’t even cover all the polish.
This was my first and last time at this store.

Not all nail shops are the same. And of course on busy holiday weekends there are wait times. But these people here were friendly and spoke to us not only to each other. Tony is great with eyebrows She also offered me water. Not all places are generally so giving. Lots of people come through here and they take the time to ask your name and about your family.

Sadly this place has been going down hill fast and after tonight, I’m done. The only person who was worth putting up with the madness for was Vee and she’s gone. Tiffany, the owner is rude. Her definition of an appointment doesn’t exist. 20 minutes is more like an hour. It’s so sad how this place is overflowing with ghetto and trashy people now. After moving to the high desert 5 years ago, I was so happy to find this place but its no longer a fun and relaxing place to come to, regardless of the time of day or time of month it is. I will not be coming back.

When I walked in I was overlooked and decided to wait patiently. When they let three people go in front of me I had to say something because they didn’t even have appointments. I was then seated and lead to think I was going to be helped as they prepared to soak my gel. They made me sit with my gel soaking for 25 minutes while they helped the three people they placed before me. The place starts to get packed and a lady rushes over to do my nails. She starts going way too fast and when I don’t like the end result she blamed it on the fact that I brought my own color. She told everyone in the shop that I was trying to tell her how to do her job. The ladies then started talking in their language and I’m sure it was something bad about me. They then soaked the ugly job for another 25 minutes. By then I was just tired and my nails were butchered from the constant heavy handed drilling and filing. A different lady came to help me and explained I can’t have what I want and I don’t know what I’m talking about like it was the first time I’ve ever gotten my nails done. If I bring my own gel color I think I know what I’m talking about. I do my own nails, but I was tired and needed someone else to do them for a concert I’m going to on Friday. Long story short two and a half hours later and my nails still aren’t done. Plus they hurt. I should have walked out, but I decided to at least pay for the manicure and tacking off my previous gel nails. They wanted to charge me FULL PRICE! By then I lost it. I explained to that lady that they have been nothing but rude to me. They put people before me, they spoke to me as if I were stupid, and they completely disrespected me. I payed them $ 5, but honestly I should have just walked out. My fingers are killing me and I still have to do them myself.

Loved this place until my husband and my sister got a bacteria and then my favorite nail lady left to Goergia. reasonably priced and nice people. They clean the spa chairs better.

I used to come here a lot. The manicurists are very friendly and welcoming. The place is clean (usually) but sadly the people that have been coming here lately have made this a scary place to come and «relax» The last few times I went and got a pedicure there have been people not wanting to pay for their services and arguing and starting fights and creating scenes with the employees.
The last and final time I decided to go was the same issue except there was a man in the salon that looked like he was about to pull out a gun and rob the place! Scary stuff. Unfortunately for these reasons I can only give one star. If they want to get people back here they are going to have to hire a full time security guard. Too bad because this was such a great place before :(

Relaxing and good work done here! Cons are long waits at times but they tell you it will be 15 minutes everytime no matter if it is 15 minutes or 45 minutes

Waited an hour and a half for low quality work at a regular price, I am so annoyed that I waited that long for nails I’m not even impressed with. My pedicure was rushed and my nails are crooked and misshaped. Definitely will not be coming back to this place.

After moving up to the high desert, I needed to find a regular manicurist and I had tried several places in the hi desert before until a friend introduced me to Top Star Nails and Spa.
I absolutely love the staff here. They are always so welcoming and make you feel like family.
If you’re looking for someone good to do your acrylics, go with Andy. He’s the best at acrylic nails. Never lets me get a new set unless I really need one. He is very gentle and plays close attention to detail on the acrylics.
Pricing is affordable and usual as most places. Fill for my nails is $ 18.
The pedicures are pretty good too. They have 4 massage chairs and 5 – 6 stations for manicurists. They have a huge selection of acrylic nail designs to choose from and they have a good selection of polishes as well.
If you’re looking for a new place, try this one. they usually have weekly specials and around the holidays so check it out. Right around christmas they had a $ 13 pedicure special and $ 20 acrylic new set special.
I’ve become a regular along with my mom and I haven’t had a reason to change nail salons.
