Miele’s

Enjoyable evening spent with friends over better-​than-​average Italian fare. That’s no mean feat in Jersey, where Italian spots are a dime a dozen. Atmosphere was cozy and service was courteous. Food was impressive and we all left satisfied.

Local favorite. Consistently good food with gracious and considerate owners. My favorite is the Grilled Chicken Calabrese but the Chicken Parmesan with capellini is also great. Worth a look.

Lovely time at Miele’s! Want to come back again when I visit the Verona/​Montclair area. Had Ike’s Beeps, delicious shrimp with spicy red clam sauce and angel hair pasta. Highly recommend this dish.

Excellent. Stopped in with a few friends just to grab a beer or two. The bartender was very pleasant and the trough of shell your own peanuts was a nice touch, as my tummy was a little grumbly. After a few drinks we could not help but notice the incredible aroma wafting from the fluttering kitchen doors. So we got a table.
The waitress was sweet, gregarious, and prompt. My party had a few questions on various meals, and she was more then helpful explaining the cuisine.
I ordered the zuppa de pesce and it was tremendous. I opted for the white sauce, yet still very spicy. The shrimp, scallops, clams and mussels were outstanding. Dipping the delicious, perfectly baked crispy on the outside, chewy in the middle bread into the divine broth was probably as close to heaven as I have ever been in my 42 years on earth.
Great meal, great beers, but the best part was the great price. I will definitely be back! Thank you for a great evening.

Back again! This time I decides to try the Chicken Franchaise. It was a very good choice. Friendly atmosphere and good food.

Great food & great service. Definite recommend! Even when you’re taking out, they keep you feeling like their first priority.

My bf and I moved to the neighborhood about 2 months ago and have been trying the local fare around town. We had actually walked past here the other night and said that from just the aroma coming from the restaurant we needed to eat there and try it out. Tonight we went in for dinner.
The menu is not overwhelming. We picked the caprese salad-​loved the prosciutto and the roasted red peppers for a twist; sautéed broccoli rabe– garlicky and not too oily; meatballs– very favorable and good texture, may have been a tad bit too salty but still good; the spinach ravioli– amazing! Would go back just for that
We were both very pleased with our first experience there and can see this being one of our go to, safe places for Italian food.

The food was wonderful and the ambiance was perfect. The staff was very courteous and made us feel so welcome. The bar is separate from the restaurant so it’s easy to talk in peace and not be bothered by sports tv. All in all it was very romantic and I definitely recommend it

I had the crispy garlic chicken here. Absolutely delicious! Staff is friendly and everyone I dined with loved there food as well. They have very reasonable specials as well, this place is certainly worth giving a try! Parking is tight but at least they have private parking.

My husfriend and I frequent this place. Initially, because of the family like service and decent food. To our surprise, we went again this week and things have certainly changed for the better. Didn’t think it could get any better but it has! The only negative is that they no longer offer their ½ price entrée specials on Tues, Wed and Thurs. But whatever changes they made in the kitchen was definitely worth paying full price for our entrees. I had the Chicken Caprese and my husfriend had the Chicken Murphy. OMG!!! They were BOTH delicious. We’ve had these entrees before and they were spectacular in comparison to our previous trips. We eat out pretty regularly and were just plain old bored with the food in the area. Having had said to one another, it’s been a very long time since we can honestly say that we’ve enjoyed our meal out somewhere… WELL, THIS WEEK WE WERE BOTH ABLE TO SAY THAT WE ENJOYED OUR MEAL IMMENSELY!
Miele’s you’ve outdone yourselves with the changes. Keep up the great work and you’l’ be guaranteed regular customers, like my husfriend and I! We’ll be back for sure!

We were a party of 5. When we got there the hostess asked if we called & made a reservation. We didn’t. They made a table work for us. Service was slow since they only had 1 waitress. Prices we on the higher side, I had salmon which was $ 24. Very small dining area. I won’t go rushing back.

Having lived in Verona for two years now, I thought it was about time try out Miele’s. The wait staff was extremely attentive, my partner who doesn’t drink never had an empty glass of water, and our waitress was attentive but didn’t hover like many do! The Sangria was a wise choice for the 2 drinkers at the table, and a half pitcher lasted us the whole meal. The food was moderately priced and the portions were good size. Everything ordered came in a timely manner, no waiting forever for food. We were never rushed in our meal which is a big plus today. The one thing I wish that they had was a desert cart. None of us ordered dessert, but I think if we had seen a cart, we would have had coffee too! The music was wonderful, the perfect touch. They only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that it being our first time there, no manager or owner came to say hello, even tho two were hovering in the next room, Banter with the guests today is a must in my book. I will go back again with my partner, maybe the mood will be a little friendlier than. (to be honest one of the hosts did try to talk to us, but was called back by the other quickly)

They’ve added some of the menu item from Stretches and I think he is the new chef. This place has done such a turn around the past few years and has become one of my favorites in the area. Nice owners, good service, excellent food and healthy portions all make it a Home Run.

The last couple times I’ve been there with my family has not been disappointing. Healthy portions, better than pizzeria quality food. Bought 2 of Stretches recipes — Salad and Chicken Murphy. Has not been too busy the last couple times though. Hope they are keeping their heads above water.

Great red sauce. Inexpensive mid-​week specials. If you pay in cash on certain days, most entrees are 9.95. There is a slight up charge for credit cards.
They recently redesigned the dining room and it was a great improvement.
The menu is extensive, but sticks to traditional Italian dishes. Big and hearty… I highly recommend the Chicken Savoy, which comes with an amazingly balanced balsamic vinegar sauce.
