OK food, service and atmosphere but it reminded me why I don’t go to these kind of places very often. Kind of expensive, wait to get seated, hurried to order, and I always walk away disappointed, not in that the food was bad, but feeling that I didn’t select the correct item on the menu or that there’s gotta be some secret menu or something. How about some Carpaccio? Wish there was some spicy dishes such as penne arrabiata. Something to make my taste-buds dance a bit. Ok experience, but I’d go try another establishment instead of the chain joint. Always a let down in some way.

We had our local homeowners group Holiday Party here this year just before Christmas. The group of 40 were all pleased with an excellent menu that was specially prepared by the restaurant. The meals were delicious, the service impeccable, and the staff was friendly and efficient. This is the perfect venu for a mid-sized group.

The service was wonderful and welcoming. The waitress was attentive, very nice. Our food was the perfect temperature, hot foods hot and cold foods cold, I especially liked the salad served on a chilled plate. Romantic atmosphere for those on a date and family friendly for those with kids. Definitely loved our visit.

Great service I didn’t have to ask for anything and the food was fantastic. They are really kid friendly and will bring out pizza dough with flour to play with. The kids love it. Some dishes can be pricy but the majority is fairly priced.

Get the blackberry sangria! I love the oil and herbs for bread. The salads are just ok but I always enjoy my food. Fresh, flavorful, and plentiful. The desserts are also very good. My favorite item on their menu is the blackberry sangria. Go during happy hour to get the best deal on it.

I usually don’t like to eat at chain restaurants since I love to cook and I have experience with food and working in various restaurants so I know how they operate on a daily basis. However my mother was wanting to go to Carrabba’s. I haven’t been to this location in about two years and I noticed the interior remodeling. It’s more modernized from the pizzeria style appearance. As we were seated, I also noticed the menu had been updated and rearranged. Some items were removed and others were added since my last visit. The new layout was nicely arranged and easy to read through the different entrée’s. It was nice to see they have a variety of items on the menu from seafood stew to pork and steak to the classics. We were greeted by Kristyn and offered wine but we declined. I usually like to save wine for special occasions like Mother’s Day. We received bread with herb oil. I don’t know if it arrives pre-baked and frozen but it was hot and crusty. Yum! Our drink order was taken and we began to look through the menu. We decided on the Calamari for the appetizer. For dinner, I chose the Rigatoni Martino and my mother chose the Shrimp & Scallop Linguine Alla Vodka. Our Calamari arrived hot, crispy and tender with a nicely seasoned breading The marinara sauce was a little garlicky and spicy which went very well with the calamari. Next, our salads came pre-dressed and they were pretty good with romaine lettuce and other various mixed greens, tomatoes, onions and kalamata olives. Then we decided to add on the fried zucchini and it was definitely hot. I was happy to see that the zucchini was fresh instead of a frozen pre-made product and the dipping sauce was very good. I found myself eating the last bits knowing I had more food to come. Our food came and it looked tasty. The rigatoni was cooked al dente and the chicken was very tender. The tomato cream sauce was good. Was the dish amazing? No. Was it crappy? Not at all. It was tasty although I feel the dish could’ve used more seasoning and more ingredients like spinach or basil or some kind of wine in the sauce. Our server, Kristyn, was very courteous and attentive. If you are looking for a good Italian American meal, Carrabbas will not disappoint. While it’s not«authentic Italian» for a chain restaurant, it’s pretty good and I would eat there again.

Yesterday 6÷6÷14. We when during happy hour. According to our bill we were charged $ 8.50 for my wife’s Appletini. So that makes the regular price for this drink $ 17.00. Nothing wrong with the food, and the service was better than average. Just thought you’d like to know. Joe M.

I know this is a chain restaurant but I have been to other Carrabbas and this one is the best — the food is consistently good as well as the service. We regularly order the Chicken Bryan and pasta weesie. The dinners come with a soup or salad appetizer. The warm bread with olive oil and herbs is always devoured by kids upon arrival. My family always goes during happy hour so we can get two for one draft beers, quartinos(wine) or half priced cocktail which helps add to the value of the meal. Always a good time at this Carrabbas.

OK. U guys who follow me no I love my food. And thx for ur readership. I’m a bit overwhelmed when I c how many of u follow my reviews. Thx. Although the food at this Carrabbas may have been fresh, it was much to salty to eat. I had to send the soup back and my shrimp and scallop dinner was so salty I couldn’t finish it. Even the mashed potatoes were salty. The chef must of had a bit of palsy with the salt shaker And I like Carrabbas. Just beware of the Vero location if ur hypertensive. U might stroke out by the end of the meal. On the good size, the staff was quite accomodating, they attempted several substitutions and even offered a free dessert. I declined as I was just too parched and had lost my appetite by that point. I’ll rethink another visit to this chain in the future.

Women servers in oversized white shirts and ties completely freaks me out. Why did you do that?! Why? Why?! I can forgive the oversized white shirts but not the ties. That is a one-star review kind of decision. Also the food is really not that good. Too much pepper and garlic in everything. The zucchini fries were ok but not nearly as good as the best I have had which were in Kouzina in Miami. On a positive note, the pasta tastes very fresh. Next time I will just get butter and salt pasta to go so I won’t have to look at the servers.

Whelp… Here We go again! We go here SO much… really need to start branching out! After tonight we certainly will! We’ve NEVER had a problem with this place… always incredible service, great food, and with the new décor, more privacy… really nice. BUT… lol, of course being Memorial Day, I should’a known, that the BEST waitresses & servers would be off! So… even though we called ahead for seating, and were told We’d be wouldn’t have to wait., we did wait… not too long, maybe only 10 min., but… when you see a lot of tables… and no one ahead of you… you start to wonder! Finally, we were seated, but then the server we had didn’t know his stuff as the usual ones are REALLY up to par at this place. So, being a holiday, not sure how to rate it… except to say it like it is! The service wasn’t as good… the food was excellent. Had filet mignon. The Chicken Marsala will ALWAYS be my favorite., but felt like steak! The minestrone soup is STILL the best I’ve had anywhere. And of course the bread! Although the loaf’s are smaller than they used to be!

DELICIOUSFOOD! Ask for John(the tall guy from California) for excellent, professional service… he can also recommend the perfect wine to enhance your meal. Appetizers and desserts – to die for– especially the calamari which was delicious with a crispy crust and save room for the chocolate bread pudding!

Italian Cuisine Their Way — Carrabba’s Italian Grill — Vero Beach One recent Sunday afternoon we met with friends who we hadn’t seen for maybe 15 years for lunch in Vero Beach. Since we all live a distance from Vero, we were unfamiliar with restaurants there. We do frequent Carrabba’s in Merritt Island and are always pleased with the restaurant. So, we decided to try the one in Vero sight unseen. On its web page, we used the Call Ahead Seating option. Our local Carrabba’s doesn’t have this option on their website. We all arrived early and our table was waiting for us. Our Waitress, Julie, quickly took our wine orders while we perused the menu. It wasn’t much different from the one in Merritt Island & prices were similar. For dinner, we usually share an order the Cozze in Bianca(Mussels in a white wine, lemon butter sauce) that is delicious. It can be either an appetizer — $ 9 or an entrée $ 11.90. One other appetizer that I have to rave about is the Calamari. — Sm. $ 7.90, Lg. $ 9.90 Since this meal was a lunch, we skipped the appealing appetizers & move right to the entrees. I ordered the Pasta Weesie — Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp sautéed in a garlic, lemon butter, white wine sauce with sautéed mushrooms and scallions. My husband had the Pasta Sostanza –Tagliarini with sautéed mushrooms, artichoke hearts and spinach in tomato basil sauce topped with seasoned breadcrumbs. One of our friends had the Pasta Carrabba — Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken, sautéed mushrooms and peas. The other had Linguine Pescatore — Shrimp, sea scallops and mussels tossed with linguine in a spicy marinara sauce. We all enjoyed our pasta entrees which were priced between $ 11 — $ 17.20. They were served piping hot and were big portions. None we overcooked. Pastas come with soup or salad while other entrees are served with additional vegetable, mashed potato or pasta. Three of us had the Italian Salad while one friend had the Minestrone Soup. The salads arrived chilled and our friend’s soup was hot & delicious, he said. Along with our meal we were served some hot freshly baked bread(so good) with dipping oil & spices. We asked the waitress to refill the basket a couple of times. Our friends ordered coffee & we lingered at the restaurant for quite a while. Luckily for us, the restaurant wasn’t that crowded. Our Waitress Julie was so sweet and never rushed us. We had long chats with her about everything & so enjoyed her attention and personality that we stopped on the way out to complemented her service to the hostess. Although we all ordered pasta dishes, there is so much more on the menu here. No matter what you order, it will be great. There are 8 Appetizers — Antipasti($ 11-$ 17,) four Marsala dishes — Chicken, Pork Chops, Sirloin, Veal($ 15 — $ 18 depending on portion size,) 8 Grill dishes($ 13-$ 17.) Of course, there are Pizzas($ 9-$ 11) on the menu and stuffed Pastas($ 11-$ 17.) If you can’t make up your mind, choose one of the 5 Combination Dishes. For lighter appetites there are various salads & soups. Leave room for dessert. We have had the Tiramisu($ 7.70) & it was great or try one of their mini desserts. There is a Kid’s Menu, by the way. Carrabba’s has some unique specials & one is Wine Wednesday(every Wednesday) — get $ 10 off any bottle of wine, $ 5 for a glass of Sangria and $ 10 off pitchers. It is always fun to sit near the lively exhibition kitchen & watch the chefs create their masterpieces. Join the Amici Club(complementary) and get cooking tips, special offers for complementary menu items, By Invitation Only Events and other benefits. The ambiance here is lovely and we all felt right at home. Everyone is so welcoming and tries to please. If we are ever in the Vero area again, we will be sure to stop here for lunch or dinner again.

Hubby wanted to go here for dinner and I was very hesitant. He is VERY picky and the one and only time we ate here(several years ago), he found much to nit-pick over and I was unable to even enjoy my meal. His main complaint was that he had only finished half of his salad when his meal was brought over. This is a major bone of contention for us… my family had salad with dinner every day… we had it with the meal, not before, so I could care less when the food comes. Yes, as someone who has waitressed I do know that the food is supposed to be timed to come after the salad course but we’re not going to fine dining establishments so really, I don’t understand his complaint. Anyway, he informed the waitress that he wanted to finish his salad before his meal arrived, blah blah blah, and we ordered the pumpkin and butternut squash filled ravioli appetizer to share. To die for! I am a fan of both pumpkin soup and butternut squash soup and the filling was divine, the pasta cooked perfectly, and the light sauce was delicious. For my entrée, I chose pork chops marsala and hubby had veal marsala(I won’t eat veal so I think this was a strategic choice on his part-no sharing!) and both were very, very good. As a side, I had garlic mashed potatoes that were better than what I make at home and he had some sort of pasta that was supposed to have red pepper in it but was pretty bland. Oh, and these meals came with a choice of soup or salad and we both chose salad… he had Cesare dressing and declared it was better than what he makes at home. I doubt that as everyone loves his dressing but it was mighty tasty. As for the salad-dinner timing… waitress actually asked if he was ready for his meal, he said yes, and our meals came out promptly. Apparently too promptly as he felt they were ready and waiting under a heat lamp. I said if so that is because of his whole salad timing thing. I don’t know who is in the right… I just know that when I don’t have to cook and wash dishes I am just grateful and want to relax and enjoy my meal. :) All in all I think it was a very, very good meal. It is pricey but everything was fresh and delicious and I’d be happy to go back.
