Lakeshore Learning Store

Attended the in store crafts project conducted by store employee Jackie Soto. She is wonderful with the children and never gets frazzled or has an attitude. We have been attending the Saturday crafts projects for the last few years and I feel that Jackie should receive some accolades. She is an excellent representative of the Lakeshore family.

Love this place — a little pricy but you get what you pay for. I wish I could buy their entire dramatic play section and all their plastic animal miniatures!

EXPENSIVE!!! Teachers shop here for supplies, how can they afford the prices?!? I must say the store does carry MANY MANY MANY items that will be totally useful in helping your child learn or become better students. I was looking for infant learning tool toys & the selection was pretty good. A lot of interesting items but so expensive!!! They offer a «club card» I signed up & rec’d a coupon for 20% off. I bought childrens song CD. Complete waste of money. It was adults faking children voices and singing that way. Like nails on a chalkboard. Just letting my «sweet child o mine» listen to my ipod playlists from now on.

Tons of classroom materials, a good selection of books, copious fun toys. I’d love to see more outdoor toys, but I suppose those aren’t strictly «learning» items. Staff totally knows their stuff!
It would be a solid 5 stars, but for the high prices. there’s a good 25% markup on the same toys at other stores.

Great store with a hugh selection of learning items for children. Pretty much the go to store if you need anything education related.

I am happy that we have a teacher store in Ventura.
This store caters to grades Pre-​School — Grade 5.
However, there are some useful items for the upper grades as well.

They have a cute selection of borders. My BFF wanted a border with suns. They didn’t have it. She found other cute borders.
We bought fadeless butcher paper, borders, cute pointer hands, posters, stamp pads, and decorative letters.
Even though you may not want to think about back to school so early, the selection is always better in July than August.
