Before I even walked in I noticed the guy behind the counter was dancing. It’s 830am, I am barely awake and this man is dancing. He was incredibly friendly and seemed to know everyone who walked in. I ordered the quiche after he listed out the savory options they had ending with the delicious quiche that has magic in it. He was right. Absolutely delicious. I probably wouldn’t get the drip coffee again. Maybe a latte next time. I had been looking for something different as I am just visiting for the week and had been going to AJ’s espresso stand. So glad I found this place! I will definitely be going again before I leave the island.

First, Sam is a goddess. Her creations can’t be beat and evoke fond memories of my kids having manners and receiving treats. Dom is the kindest man in the morning to get treats from. He treats kids with respect and he is great with customers. All their staff is kind and knows what they are doing. This place is my son’s favorite and there is no question why. Try the croissant-dogs if they have them! The almond cookies are a MUST, and the almond croissants.

Amazing coffee, espresso and real coconut macaroons not the trendy French flavorless ones! Try the maple, bacon, pecan croissant! It is out of this world! The atmosphere is great and so are the employees! It’s an all around great experience!

What an amazing place! It’s full of wonderful smells, fun friendly people, and delicious things to eat and drink! The bacon maple pecan croissant is heaven, pairs great with a double shot vanilla latte(they make their own syrups too!) We walked in by accident, have been on the island less than 12 hours, have been there twice, and are planning to stock up on the way to the airport tomorrow. If you are nearby, stop in, it’s a great place!

This place has delights for loafers and sweetniks alike. Its country loaf is a textural delight, and the savory garlic cheese bread is mildly addictive. In a salute to the original proprietor here, Baker Sam has reprised the Bob’s Burger– a gustatory love child of pizza and croissant. The Oatie reaches across the gluten aisle for a wheat-free handshake, and the solid espresso drinks will keep your eyes wide open – all the better to ogle the cookie shelves below!

I love this place ! the cakes are so yummy, i have ordered two birthday cakes, a wedding cake, and a baptism ! they do an amazing job always meticulous on asking what you want on the cake, how you want it. I have asked for some crazy cakes . I have done an birthday carrot cake, an apple spice birthday cake, my wedding cake was a Tres Leches, and a white cake with strawberry filling and white chocolate ganache. And thy Do an amazing job every time !!!

Unfortunately wasn’t able to taste any of the food so I can’t review on that. But walked in and checked out all the pastries in the display… all the pastries were COVERED in fruit flies! All of them. And I understand maybe a couple fruit flies(they are very bad this year) but this was swarms of them on all of the pastries. Ugh so gross. You cannot expect people to buy food covered in bugs and their eggs. At least cover the pastries to protect them from the bugs. Bleh…

They make a croissant wrapped hot dog that is crazy good. Embarrassingly good. Their gluten-free almond cookie is DELISH! Love the selection. Have never had anything bad here. Friendly service, too.

Oh My Gosh, this place is YUMMY! First of all, they open at 6am(some of the earliest fresh coffee and food you’ll be able to get on the island — with the exception of AJ’s Espresso on the opposite side of the Highway), and for that alone, I praise them highly! Their coffee is pretty great(not sure what beans they’re using, but I’ve had both their drip and an espresso, and they were robust and dark, the way I like my coffee), and so is their tea selection(they also usually have iced black, and green teas in the cold case, just ask). The baked goods are even better. My personal favorites are the hotdog in a croissant(nitrate free, all beef, HUGE, delicious!), and the mochi cakes(varying flavors). They also have a pie of the day, which makes this pie loving gal very pleased. The staff are nice, and very knowledgeable about their products. The shop has counter seating inside, and benches outside, so you can get your refreshments, have a seat, and stay awhile. Definitely a great meeting spot too(in lieu of the usual joints around town — especially since they open so much earlier than the other places do). CLOSED on Mondays! For those who were fans of the Bob’s Burger, guess what? The new shop owners are still making them. Hooray!

A great place, lots of yummy goodies. I’d say watch out any decent diet could easily be spoiled here. We’ve tried many things made from the bakery, everything has been exceptional. We are evening having them make our wedding cake, which is a cheesecake. Definitely a place to visit on the island, be sure to take some goodies home or back to wherever you are staying. If you need bakery items for an event, you won’t be disappointed. I’ll post pictures of the wedding cheesecake after the wedding.

My new morning coffee spot. Thanks Dominic for opening up early and serving good coffee. I didn’t even know you were open, but my feet took me straight to the bakery. Good vibes & great coffee!

When Bob’s Bakery closed at this location I was disappointed that I would no longer have their house specialty baked goods. I did not grieve long though because the foods served at the all new Vashon Baking Company are really exceptional. The food tastes very dynamic and the ingredient choices are often novel. For example, I had a savory bread pudding this morning(see pics). Their pecan tort was really exceptional too. I look forward to enjoying many more of their delicacies as the menu expands. One last important thing to note is that they open at 6am Tuesday — Saturday and 7am on Sunday for us early risers!
