My family is from Detroit and a few things in this world mean a lot to a Detroit-er, Sanders Hot Fudge and Faygo Soda. You thought I was going to say the Red Wings and the Tigers didn’t you? You, obviously are not from Detroit! This soda screams muggy summer days on a lake, cruising Woodward Avenue on a muggy summer night or a family reunion in a city park in Oak Park(on a muggy day). Snappy’s was already a fine little convenience store before they started stocking the nectar of the car building set, a wide selection of anything you need and lots of stuff you didn’t think you needed until you saw it. The employees are very nice and helpful and it makes it just a little nicer to stop there than your average AM/PM, 7/11, Plaid Pantry type of place. Snappy’s sells 76 Gasoline products at reasonable prices too. I wouldn’t normally think to Unilocal a c-store, there are only a few notable ones I can think of in all of the metro area, but this is sure the best one in Vancouver I have ever been too. Go to Snappy’s for 76 gasoline, go to Snappy’s for good employees, but if you are from Detroit then it would be more of a pilgrimage. Go west of the Mill Plain off ramp off the 205 Freeway, tell them John sent you.
