This Safeway isn’t in the best location. It also could really use an update. I’m not a fan of the layout, but I do enjoy Safeway in general. I think I needed to pick something up quickly while in the area(not my neighborhood) and this did the trick. I’m surprised this one is still open but the Orchards location was shut down. Baffling.

(This review is for the Pharmacy inside the Safeway) Had been with them for over 5 years and finally gave up and said goodbye to them. The customer service is the worst, 2 or 3 young strong people working inside and totally ignore you for up to 25 minutes to pick up or drop off your medicine while no one is ahead of you in the line. And no respects for those sick and older customers waiting and standing on their feet with at least one or more medical conditions, like myself with heart disease and back pain.

Safeway is the place I go when I want a pleasant shopping experience, and don’t mind paying way more(for the most part) than I would at Winco. This location has been updated and you can shop knowing if you have a question, someone will help answer it(usually with a smile). Gotta love supporting Union stores.

Somebody pissed on the bathroom floor and it smells like cat litter and the piss is still here. You all suck at your jobs, assholes. 10 thumbs down.

It’s OK I guess when I need to pick up a quick item and don’t have time to run to WinCo, but I will never regularly shop at Safeway. Prices are at least 25% higher, the selection is more limited, lines are longer, and service is actually worse than WinCo. Once in a while the meat department offers a nice sale on large shrimp and choice marbled steaks. Otherwise it’s too rich for my wallet for no good reason. I do buy my milk at Safeway, Pantry Essentials brand, because it’s 40 cents cheaper and tastes way better than other brands. WinCo remains the winner.

Yup, this place is adequate alright. I went here 3 times over the past weekend. We bought a cake for my nephew’s baptism and it was pretty delicious. The cake, not the baptism. Though the baptism was fine too. The Safeway was not crowded at all, even though it was a Saturday. Yeah, Washington rocks.

Ok, it’s a Safeway… prolly like most other Safeways. It’s fine… it’s the closest market to our house and we use the Safeway card for discounts and for the gas discount. I am, however, becoming increasingly tired of the checkers at this location. There is dwindling number of checkers here I can tolerate. If they’re not super-bitchy and in «robot» mode, they’re overly chatty with the bagger person and not paying attention to getting our stuff across the scanner so we can get the hell out of there! Last week, the checker was going off to the bagger kid(prolly 17 years old) about how the manager was just hunting for people to administer a drug test to. Really? If I want to read your company policy manual, I’ll go work there… just scan the damn groceries!!! The faux goodwill is something else I could do without. Couple of weeks ago I run in and get 4 or 5 things which the checker puts in two plastic bags. In her robot voice she says, «You have two or more bags, would you like help out today?» Um lady, I have EXACTLY two bags, both of which you can plainly see are looped around one finger while I wait for you to hand me the receipt. Sigh… I won’t stop shopping here for the reasons in the first paragraph, but I don’t walk in there with much of a smile on my face anymore…

This is a fairly large Safeway with a floral section, deli, and bakery. It is also open until 1am, which seems rather strange in its residential location. Everyone I’ve interacted with there has been friendly and helpful, and the store itself is well lit and clean. However, they seem to have a chronic problem with expired food — I’ve seen or(or accidentally purchased) expired frozen goods, salads, cheese and packaged meat. I always check the date on everything I buy here.
