AWFUL! Came here tonight with my fiancé and son per a few recommendations from friends. We’re looking for a nice break from a hectic week. I really loved the look and feel. But unfortunately, that was the only pleasant thing about our visit. We ordered a sparkling wine with cherries soaked in brandy. Which was really good actually. Now for the appetizer, we ordered the platter with cheeses and cured meats. With a spoonful of hummus and some cristinis. The bread was so hard; this platter looked like something I could whip out of my fridge, and it was quite awful. $ 12 of nothing. We ordered my son the grilled cheese. It came with a side of green beans that were NOT cooked. They were completely cold, and hard, as if just pulled from the fridge. Our entrée: the fettitune with sausage, and the pasta with shrimp, lobster tail, and a few other things I can’t remember. I got the full order, my fiancé got the half. The half order was so small it was a joke. His lobster wasn’t cooked, and my sausage was awful. Plus, they brought my dish 5 min after the other too. The service was SOSLOW it was making us quite angry. SOSLOW. SOOOSLOW. For dessert we had the red velvet cheesecake, and he lemon bar. Yuck. There was NO flavor in the cheesecake and the lemon bar was so egg-ey tasting. SOOVERPRICED, like your kidding right??? I would have killed for Olive Garden, how sad is that. Save your money and DONT come here. To the owner, I hope you know I’m going to be angrily thinking about the $ 78 I WASTED here, for weeks!

This is a really great Italian restaurant in a town that greatly lacks them. Most of the dishes are prepared fresh and they do utilize local products whenever possible(like Grand Central bread). The atmosphere is fairly casual, with simple wood tables in a pretty open and small floor, lined with wine and a large deli case. The prices can be a bit much for the full entrees which do not increase in size much from the smaller portion. That would be my only real critique. I’ve been many times and have tried different items on each visit, including their delicious and substantial sandwiches and lunch. I have found the dishes are consistently flavorful and the service is always friendly and prompt. Their wine list is impressive! My last visit was for dinner. We split a Caesar salad, each had a glass of wine(I had the Montepulciano, a rare treat to find in any local restaurants), 1 half-size entrée and a full-sized entrée, coffee, gelato, and delicious tiramisu for a reasonable $ 66. I tried the Orchiaetta all Pugliese, a dish with basil pesto, sausage, pumpkin, onion, red pepper, and a generous helping of Pecorino Romano on top. It was really good, though I found the cheese a little too salty and so scooped some of it off. My partner’s dish was absolutely delicious! He tried the Smoked Mushroom Ravioli in a Rosemary infused balsamic cream sauce. I highly recommend this, though my partner did feel that even the full entrée size was not quite enough. Despite two minor critiques, we were both very pleased with our meal and overall experience. I will of course be back!

My husband and I have been to a dozen restaurants in Vancouver this week and in the words of the proverb, «Many restaurants have done virtuously, but La Bottega excellest them all.»

I went here with a group a week ago and had a wonderful experience. It was a dreary cold dark Sunday and when we entered it was cozy & dim in the restaurant. I love the ambiance of the half shop with bottles of wine lining the walls. I had the duck breast that was delicious. My father-in-law ordered the roast chicken with mashed potatoes and a bowl of the white bean and chicken soup. The soup was beyond incredible!!! My mother-in-law ordered the meat & cheese board as an entrée and it was more than plenty & chocked full of delicious meats & cheeses with a baby octopus on the side. My hubby loved his spaghetti and meatballs. For dessert we ordered cappacinno’s and cannoli’s. It was the perfect finish to s wonderful dinner. Can’t wait to go back!

Had my birthday celebration here and everything was scrumptious, as well as reasonably priced. I have a new favorite place in town. Kudos! Great wine, great tomato basil soup, great mushroom ravioli. Is it time to come back yet?

I was not impressed to say the least. I was visiting from California and wanted to have a nice dinner, but not deal with a long wait. I ordered the cod. It was WAY to salty ! It over powered the other good flavors on my plate . Although the texture of the cod was perfect. My friend ordered duck, but got steak instead. She’s not one to speak up, so after dinner was over she told me. Also, I feel like the food was WAY over priced for what you get. In San Francisco I am used to paying this kind of money, but it’s usually like UNBELIEVABLY good. Also, I am Sicilian, so I am incredibly picky about my Italian food. Anyway the meal was maybe worth 16 bucks not the almost 30 I paid.

Absolutely fabulous! The food was fresh and delish! Our waiter, Andy, made our dining experience so special. He is an asset to La Botega. The pig cheeks are a must and the Tiramisu wonderful! All in all, a great meal.

Lucky to be served by the owners daughter who is simply lovely. Place is packed on a Saturday night, but it’s worth the small wait. Everything we had was delicious! A great date night in Vancouver. Who knew?

One of my very favorite restaurants! Great atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent food. For an appetizer the gorgonzola cheesecake is a must have. Always. Everything else I’ve had here is amazing, as well. Tonight I had the Olio. It’s delicious in its simplicity. Highly recommended.

Fantastic food and service. Mushrooms ravioli is unbelievable. Always a great time here and have been back many times because of how we were treated. Try everything’s on the menu you won’t be disappointed. The wine list is great and have quite a few options to suggest with each of their entrées.

Not worth the hype… Drive 10+ min to Portland and get yourself a wonderful Italian meal at one of the many fantastic restaurants. My husband had the smoked mushroom ravioli that had THE most disgusting looking dark brown gravy smothered over the top, balsamic mess. I had a pasta with the most bland vodka sauce on the face of the earth. Sooo not worth the money or time. Our waitress was great though.

LOVELOVELOVE their wine selection and our server(usually the daughter of the owners who was practically raised in the place), really knows her wines… at least she knows what we enjoy. Tuesday nights are the best with«half price» wines up to $ 25 off. Encourages us to explore a bit. The food is always consistently good. Portions aren’t large and when you order a small vs large pasta, it’s small, but the large doesn’t seem much bigger. They have simple dishes, bold dishes, familiar dishes, and always something that intrigues. Splitting an entrée and a salad is usually perfect for us, coupled with a big bold red. Try dessert there or stroll down the street to Ice Cream Renaissance.

Server was very kind. We ordered greek salad which was delicious. It had fresh crispy vegetables. Pasta with pesto was outstanding with the freshest parmesan I’ve ever tried. My husband had steak which he said was great but not a wow. The only down point is the bread, it did not taste fresh but very stale.

We had not been here for a very long time, years in fact. The bruschetta was good and was made with a roasted red pepper, was good but nothing compared to the entrees. I had the roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans. This meal looked perfect on the plate, was cooked to perfection, and tasted AMAZING!!! My husband had the Carbonara and was very pleased with everything about the dish. I thought the portion size on his meal looked small, but when I tasted it, it was incredibly rich with flavor. The waitress knew the wines to a T, was attentive and very kind. A great date night atmosphere with great food.
