Coming from someone who works in and around the wine industry(husband is a winemaker) this is the most awful wine I have ever tasted. Brutally sour, lots of faults, incredibly watered down and painfully alcoholic. Their saving grace is their«nectar» wines fortified with brandy. But I was over the tasting by the time we got to them.

Really fun winery, in a cozy big barn. I don’t love all of their wines, but they also do dinners on weekends which is really a bargain — and the caterer for those is really great with good quality food and ingredients. The staff and vibe will keep me coming back.

I went with a group of girlfriends. There was 11 of us and 10 did the tasting and paid a $ 5 fee for 5 pours. 3 of the 5 were not drinkable. We purchased a bibb of the one we all could tolerate and paid full price. $ 98! None of our tasting fees were applied! The place was freezing and we all paid for a «catered dinner». It was awful slop served on styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery. The best part was the guy playing music.

I’m sorry to say, I read the Unilocal reviews on this place before the wife and I went wine tasting. I saw the 2 reviews with 1 stars and thought they were just being rude. But after going there the wine here is watered down. It tastes like the $ 3.00 wine bottles at Wal Mart. I gave it a second star because the staff was nice and service was good, but the wine was Not.

Great little winery to enjoy some wine and conversation with the staff. It’s by my parent’s house so we stopped in, even bought some wine :) Love the Wine in a bag thing, very cool.

Adorable local winery. In a big barn, fireplace, comfy chairs, gigantic bar Knowledgeable staff, light penos, red barn and chief is good taste! Great ice wines for the sweet wine drinker in the family! Close to the in-laws — so we will be back!

English is a family owned winery, managed by Andee Mowry, who works for Charlie English, the vintner. You will not find a more friendly, warm atmosphere anywhere in Vancouver. They treat you like family, and their wines are great to boot. They also have the best Estate Grown Pinot Noir in all of Vancouver, and their dessert ports are the bomb. Check out the loafing shed, and taste some local wine today!

I agree with previous reviewers that this is the genuine article. Honest, hard-working folks keeping a family farm alive and kicking. Wine is a very personal thing. There is a wide selection here from whites to Pinots to dessert wines, something like 20 different wines to try. Even if you don’t end up liking the wine, you will learn something by stopping by and finding out about the farm’s history and something about the craft of winemaking too. Definitely worth a visit.

It must be so easy to make this wine, and yet so hard to drink. If you’ve had bad wine before this wine will change your mind, it is sure to be worse than anything you might have had. Watery, no smell, no taste, light watered down color. They have a cute dog on the premises though.
