Great place to hang out, and the coolers present like a wall of art! Ben and Tim are great, and shout outs to Ethan, Natasha, and Lynette who always give great service.

We landed here as a plan B and as far as plan B’s go… it wasn’t bad! the tap list was extensive and my husband didn’t have any problem finding 4 to include in a happy hour flight. Our food was good… he had some unremarkable sliders and I had the mac and cheese which was AMAZING! We were a little confused about where to place our order or if there was waitstaff for the tables so we opted for the bar. Our only complaint is that the bartender was not at all friendly… at least to us. He seemed to warm up to some regulars who sat beside us but we didn’t get any smiles or friendly banter. I did hear him tell someone it was his Friday and he only had 3 hours to go so maybe he was already checked out but it was definitely off-putting. Overall, the décor was nice, the place was clean, the«wall of beer» was fascinating and at 5:30 on a Monday night it was busy but not crowded. We’ll most likely give it another try.

Great beer selection!!! Staff is friendly, good tap list and lots of harder to find craft brews. Never tried the food but I saw a delicious rootbeer float being enjoyed and I was jealous it wasn’t me. My husband loves this spot and I think it makes a big difference that we don’t have to go to Portland if he just wants a 6 pack of good beer.

Great beer and food when we visit Vancouver from Hood River. Joe loves the imported dark beers. Makes him happy

I’m writing this review out of love. It’s a cool neighborhood spot and I don’t want it to go out of business but I am worried. I have come in three times now and my experience is getting worse with each visit. Ben’s has a great vibe and is very comfortable inside. This afternoon there was a nice bustle. But there’s no getting around this: the food is pretty bad. You might not notice it the first few times, but this time we started to run out of things that were still safe to get. The hummus plate is fine, but the pork nachos(which I loved the first time out) have been really off the last few visits… super salty, mushy strands of pork debri. Yuck. And please don’t do the meat and cheese plate. Someone popped over to Costco and got giant packages of brie and various meats and it just doesn’t work in a restaurant setting. Tonight I am even complaining about the beer choices. Very Vancouver-centric. And I love Vancouver. I live here after all, but there is such a wide variety of awesome beer in the NW, it would be great to have some of the more highly regarded brewers as well. While I am at it, my first visit I was able to see the screen when I walked in and take my time choosing what is actually on tap. Now there is a printout hanging out on the bar with choices that aren’t as current. Ben’s bottle shop, please improve your food and get your employees to agree that customer service is important. I am longing for a neighborhood watering hole, but after some lackluster experiences, I am not anxious to return here. And that makes me sad because Vancouver is seriously lacking in cool neighborhood destinations.

Bens Bottle Shop surprised me! The ambiance is great, and the beer selection is amazing! The way you order is different, they need a sign that says ‘order here’ because you order at the bar, not at your table. They don’t have a large menu, but their food is good. They have buffalo burger sliders and caprice sliders, with chips and buttered pickles(which are delicious), and a few other items. Not good for someone who has a gluten allergy. The service is nice, they keep up on their tables but the food delivery is not set up well. They don’t have soda on tap, but do have a fridge full of non-alcoholic beverages. It’s a great place, you can even hold events! Need outside seating for the good weather. Definitely great for the couve!

Ben’s Bottle Shop not only has great beer, it has delicious food! Just had the scallop sliders. Scallops were seared to perfection and the slaw was creamy and had a hint of heat. Fun environment with nice décor. I look forward to going back!

My husband and I love this place. Really easy going. GREAT beer selections both on tap and in their huge refrigerators of bottles. To go or drink there. I can’t wait for the outdoor spot to open. The staff is always friendly and makes great suggestions. We love the food, too. All around great place, highly recommended!

6 of us stopped in for dinner and a drink. Service was strange; seat yourself, order at the bar, they serve but rarely do you see any wait staff. We felt like it was self service. The food was in small servings and limited selection and the beer was awesome.

My husband and I just got back from a very short trip to Portland. We were looking to find something slightly off the beaten path that carried a wide variety of tap and bottled beers and thankfully for Unilocal stumbled upon Ben’s Bottle Shop. Not only is their selection amazing, but so was the service. Tim and Ethan are amazing! We ended up staying and chatting and Tim even opened a bottle of Black Tuesday from the Bruery that we were dying to try. We can’t wait to come back next time we’re in the area. Thanks Tim for making our extremely short vacation so memorable! Please give this place a try, you won’t regret it!

Nice new place. Look and feel is great, however the food is only alright(nothing special) and the prices are ridiculous! I paid $ 20 for two small sliders, a cup of canned clam chowder, and a mediocre pint of beer. And this was only lunch! Price vs food/bev portion is what will keep from coming back.

I’ve been to a lot of different types of eating and drinking establishments, and Ben’s Bottle Shop completely took me by surprise, in a pleasant way. As you walk into the huge space, there are wooden tables and a bar in the middle of the room. dditional seating is on the other side of the bar, along with a water Station which is self serve. The entire left side of the place is a wall of beer inside brightly lit coolers. Ben’s Bottle Shop is a large space, which is warmed by lots and lots of wood, including the enormous oval bar in the middle of the room. I happened to be in Portland at the same time that a beer event was taking place at Ben’s Bottle Shop. No way I was going to miss this, as what I think is one of the best breweries in Washington State(Sound Brewing) was having a draft release. They’re in Poulsbo, and I don’t often get up there, so to have the Brewer on hand at Ben’s Bottle Shop was a rare opportunity that I could not miss. I was super thrilled to visit and be able to meet the brewer, who was engaged in a lively conversation with some friends at one of the tables. There were dozens of beer on tap, many of which were from the aforementioned brewery! I was surprised to see food served there, and was pleasantly surprised by the handmade quaility of the dishes. Picked cauliflower, tasty turkey sliders and homemade chips soaked up the big beers. I ordered another round and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I got to meet the owner of Ben’s and the brewer of some of the best brews in Washington! It was definitely worth the trip from Portland, and I will most certainly visit again, with my growler!

good addition to central Vancouver along Mill plain blvd where new and unique businesses need to settle. Not that our pot shops are not unique but this bottle shop is more than its name. I walked in to by a beer to go and found they had 24 beers on tap along with food. Good layout with large screen TV’s so you can get your sports fix in while enjoying a drink and food. This is more of a pub with a bottle shop attached to it in my opinion. Look forward to stopping in for something to eat next time.

What a way to help re-invent a neighborhood! Classic bottle shop, 24 taps and a wall of goodness. Last trip in we tried some HH fare. Not Michelin rated dining, but pretty good grub. They are adding an expanded seating area, which looks to be almost complete. And I would assume some sort of outdoor seating will be available for summer. Just go.

Natasha greeted us as we came in and made us feel welcome. She was very helpful and attentive and personable. Customer service is a lost art but not at Ben’s Bottle Shop. One of the owners, Tim, chatted with us for a bit and I find that very refreshing in this hurried world. We will definitely be back when we have more time to sample beers and have lunch. Love the ambience and the beer. Oh… The salsa. And best of all was the customer service. Thank you Natasha and Tim. See you soon.

Beer first, food later. That is largely the ethos behind Ben’s but the truth of the matter is, their limited menu offerings are not treated as an afterthought. Though their name refers, one would think, to robust beer selection(the Wall-O-Beer) that they have here, you are entreated by all the other bits Ben’s has to offer. This is a good location to stop for a bite or just pick up a variety of beers for later enjoyment(which is always cheaper than drinking it there-sometimes by a significant amount) and is looking to distinguish itself by sheer volume of selection in a market that is rapidly becoming crowded. 24 rotating taps(which can also include a stout/porter on nitro) as well as wine, and the(rapidly becoming) obligatory kombucha. A two page menu of food offerings(to include dessert-try the bacon chocolate chip cookies!) does not disappoint and you can easily spent a few hours just trying beer and eating enough to keep you quite happy. Pricing is not bad, for the selection. Just as a point of clarification, when you order your burger/Cuban/whatever, it will be in slider form(two, in fact). You lose nothing in the process and the Cuban I had was quite good(though it was a «take» on a Cuban, as opposed to being a traditional). The house made chips are not anything special and lack a defining characteristic to warrant their inclusion as a stand alone appetizer, they they do exist as a good accompaniment to the sandwiches. Seating is ample and the space is airy, clean and well organized. I have seem families bring their christen here and not seem out of place. Be aware, this is a tap room in a strip mall where a gym also exists. Parking is sometimes a challenge. But, if you are looking for that bottle of Vantucky Pale you can find no place else, this may be worth the walk.

Beautiful place inside. Didn’t try any of the food, but the beer selection & wait staff are very friendly. Great place to meet up with friends or coworkers!

While truck shopping with a friend, we needed to kill sometime and so, what better place than a bottle shop! I forget what type of beer they had that my friend went head over heels for, but it’s a Washington beer that he hasn’t been able to find around here(oregon) so it made his day to find it in Stock here. He actually bought the last six pack that they currently had. The staff were helpful and friendly. They seem to know and love what they do, which shows in their demeanor. If you are in the area, and have a craving for an exploration of beers from all around, I’d recommend this place.

Amazing selection of bottles to go. Over 500 different beers to choose from. Plus wine, champagne and sake. The 24 tap selections are always rotating with something new and exciting. They’ve got a great menu as a bonus. The Carolina slider is my absolute favorite! This is a great place to come hang out for the afternoon or evening!

Great beer selection, food and atmosphere! This is a great addition to the neighborhood. Lots of TV’s around the bar, a big projector, plenty of seating, 24 taps and a great food menu!
