Is the food average — yes But that’s not why you come here. Best apre in Vail. Vail has changed considerably over the past twenty years but the Red Lion has stood the test of time.

I love this place! Great place to watch any type of sports game when you come off the hill. Try their chicken nachos!

worst dining experience i’ve ever had and i eat out 6 nights a week. i’ll just give one detail of many. 45 min after we ordered we were told our food is ready. another half hour later we still didnt get our food and our server was no where to be found. Rediculous.

Awesome vibe in this place and the staff is very nice, even the bouncer haha. While it can get a little loud with the live music, I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for an easy night out.

We were there for the Broncos AFC championship game, so you can imagine it was packed! Our server Clay was very attentive despite how busy he was. I’m kind of a green chile snob from NM. The green chile stew was one of the better ones I have had in CO. It had a mild spice. I tend to usually prefer medium heat. The pork was tender and great. Also had the chicken gyro sandwich which was pretty good as well. All in all, would definitely come back for Apres ski.

Not a lot to eat here if you are a vegetarian or can’t have gluten and bless you want to spend a billion dollars. We ended up going with a h nachos for two though and weren’t disappointed. At $ 15 it was more than enough for me and my bf. Beers on tap aren’t a bad price for vail either

One of the most popular apres ski bars/restaurants in vail. Be prepared to wait 45 mins for a table but it’s worth the wait. Pretty good food and friendly service. I’d defiantly come back.

Nice place at vail village for hot beverages, huge size appetizers and sandwiches with a big side of fries/coleslaw.

Been coming to this place for decades. I’ve always enjoyed the vibe and entertainment, but the food has always been underrated. The burger was as good as any in the state. The chile(both red and green), is pretty damn good. Surprised Red Lion has such lackluster draft beer, though. With all the great craft beers in the state, you’d think they’d step it up. Overall, this place is a fun, dependable and happy mainstay.

Everything was great. From the onion rings, lion dip to the great grilled chicken sandwiches.

I’d rather give this a 2.5; oh, Unilocal, why must you vex me so? Decent burger and coleslaw, didn’t try anything else on the menu. Menu not particularly inspired. Waiter seemed perplexed when I asked about the 2 different kinds of chili. Service was sketchy even though our waiter seemed to be trying to be nice. The lighting where we sat was annoying. The servers generally seemed more concerned with themselves than with being servers. Very strange system. Lack of ability to clear table, food came out at odd times and took a long time for casual American fare. I’m not familiar with Vail, this was a first visit, but I do not recommend this for any reason.

Red Lion might be great for a night out in Vail, but it certainly isn’t great for dinner before the dance festival. It was so loud I couldn’t talk to the people across the table, and it wasn’t even noise from other diners– it was the staff! I could understand a fun bar-y atmosphere would require staff that fit the fun bill, but our waiter seemed really preoccupied hanging out with his buddies and very rarely popped in to check on us, bring us water, take our order, etc. When he did check on us, he was rather cold and acted as though we were a pain. Two stars because: the veggie burger and sweet potato fries were very good and prices were reasonable for Vail. So if you’re looking for an affordable place in Vail or a bar atmosphere, maybe the Red Lion is for you. Just be aware you’ll get very slow service, and a headache from all of the noise.

Red Lion was exactly what my husband and I were looking for as we walked around Vail Village. The service was super friendly, they had live musicians(who happened to have a good sense of humor), and the food was spectacular. The potato bacon soup was some of the best soup I’ve had! I highly recommend :)

This restaurant was a complete letdown. It looked busy so my group decided to go for it. We should have been tipped off by the large menu — anything with such a wide variety of things means that they don’t spend very much time on any one dish. I got the Caesar salad with chicken breast and it was bland. The chicken was disconcertingly soft, almost like it was fake. My salad was also ridiculously priced — about $ 15 and it was only the size of a regular entrée salad. I sampled other people’s meals and wasn’t too impressed. The gyro was meh, but that might be because I’m not a huge gyro fan in general. The onion rings were really disappointing — the onion slices were huge and tasted like a large slice of onion warmed up in a microwave and then smattered with some type of salty seasoning. The onion rings weren’t really breaded — the ‘breading’ was crispy and thin and broke off as soon as I even picked up one of the rings. Very disappointing. The ribs were tough and dry and didn’t have a lot of meat on them. The fish tacos were bland. The only thing this restaurant got right were the sweet potato fries. What a letdown and a ripoff. Our server wasn’t good either. She had no idea what she was talking about when asked about things on the menu and she spilled ice on is. I won’t be coming back.

Check out my review on the Red Lion’s Bloody Mary here: Besides the Bloody Mary, I didn’t have anything else. My father had a beer. We sat outside on the patio before we hit the slopes. We sat outside for awhile without being served(it was relatively empty both outside and inside), so I took it upon myself to grab our drinks at the bar. Once I returned with our drinks, I got scolded by the hostess inside and the waitress outside… The hostess even told me that«They have servers outside and I am not supposed to order inside.» Well, hunny, if I wanted to wait a day and a half for a cocktail, then maybe I would follow your«rules.» I don’t think I would go back. The Bloody Mary got an 80% in my book.

The food here is sub par, I truly don’t think it’s anything special. The red chilli here is probably the best thing I’ve had on their menu it’s extremely meaty which is good but it lacks a necessary spice though. The signature smothered burrito isn’t bad but it again is very bland. To me this is all just sub par bar food which is on the cheap side in comparison to other restaurants in Vail. If you’re hungry for lunch or need a snack fresh off the mountain, this is a good option otherwise I would steer clear.

Hime of the U.S. ski team, at least that’s what they say. The bar gets busy. Hey, it’s a bar in a ski town. But if you’re planning on food, you may want to dine elsewhere and come here to drink. The food is average at best, though portions are a good size. As a side, they list Mac & cheese and behind the listing, it says«Kraft». Yep, it’s the orange Kraft Mac from a box, which maybe sits well for children but Mac & cheese is my all time favorite and«boxed» doesn’t count. Service was friendly. No real complaints, but I’d dine elsewhere and end here for a drink.

I got the supreme nachos that was $ 26. It was good but not worth the price. I also got the veil burger, it tasted like a normal burger but you can always create your own!

This was our first time in Vail and we stopped here for a quick bite. It was not quick. The service was slow and bad. My husband’s order was wrong(brought coleslaw instead of fries), they never brought his beer, and I asked two different people for ketchup to go with my fries and it never came. I ended up just not eating the fries because it took too long to get ketchup. So I guess that was healthier for me in the end anyway. The sandwiches however we’re decent. I had the«everyday special» gyro and my husband had the Cajun chicken breast sandwich. Both were tasty. I don’t know if the service was off due to it bring summer or what but I would not come back based on this visit. Disappointed, I really wanted to love my first meal in Vail.

Also Leuuutedas System hier findet nicht mal VAIL!
