this place is horrible. I miss the old red devil where it use to be a fun and friendly place. the staff is inconsiderate and the pizza is mediocre! I won’t be back until the new owner is gone!

Apparently from reading the reviews, this place sucks. Lol. I’ve been to red devil in la Verne(5 btw) i was a little hesitant checking out the one In upland. Only cause la Verne has been so awesome. Scared of change. But after reading a lot of these reviews, makes me wanna slap the new owner. I was legitimately getting mad just by reading the reviews. I’m sure I’ll be staying away from this place. Sad sad sad. Check out red devil in la Verne. Won’t be disappointed. Taste so good, make you wanna slap your mama. Or in this case the new owner in upland

So we came for a team party … I was the first one to arrive with my daughters and chose to order early and ensure we’d get out pizza first… Well that didn’t happen… our team of 12 girls showed up and team pizzas were ordered… Families ordered their meals … Everyone got their pizza except us … My daughter went to ask about our order and they said it would be 5 minutes… 20 minutes later I went up and asked and they couldn’t even find the order. We were told we would have to wait for the pizza to be made … To say I was annoyed is an understatement… I just asked for a refund and will not come back. How very disorganized and lacking in customer service. Update: They were gracious enough to offer a free pizza… For that I say thank you… Unfortunately they did not do the same to another parent and I had to ask for her order which was also forgotten. She received her pizza but had to take it to go… I understand how busy Friday nights can be, perhaps a better system of organization or more employee training would benefit this establishment.

Holy beer towers this place is great. Came here on Friday with a few friends. We ordered 3 pizzas. Chicken buffalo ranch, a pepperoni, sausage and jalapeño and a regular pepperoni, side salad which was quite large and buffalo wings. All soo delicious! We ended up ordering I think 4 beer towers throughout the night. The guy said it’s about 128 ounces of beer. We were able to get 8 pint size beers from one tower. Prices for the tower was in the $ 30 range for Pomona Queen beer. Amazing by the way. Great place. Would definitely come back.

If I could put less than one star, I would, I use to come here all the time, but now it has new owners, and the new owner is now a joke, the biggest ass hole, for a new owner, he was very rude, I just asked him to turn up a fan because it was so hot in this restaurant and he gave so much attitude. Then I went for a pitcher of beer, then he wanted to put all foam in my beer and told me to come back, as if he couldn’t handle pouring a pitcher of beer. I want the old owner back, I will never come back to this Upland location, I’m going back to the Covina branch, even though it’s farther from my house. I will go where there is better service and owners that appreciate my business.

Best place around. Until the new owners took over. Now you wait longer for your order. Sometimes over an hour. Called one in at 7pm. Showed up 30 minutes later to get my food. Didn’t leave till after 8. And they forgot part of my order. Is the pizza still good? Sure. But is it worth waiting over an hour because the new owners can’t get it together. No. Find a new favorite pizza place. You are more likely to starve waiting for your food then be satisfied with it. UPDATE. They promise to rush me out my order. Get it wrong and the owner tries to short me on my refund. Says they aren’t perfect. Old owner still helps out. He usually got it perfect. It’s simple. If you are busy and it’s going to take over an hour then tell us. Don’t lie and make promises of shorter times then multiple customers are just sitting waiting for their food. Everyone of them upset and reviewing you at the same time complaining about your service. People will wait for good food if you tell us up front. But when u promise 30 minutes then make it 30. Not over an hour.

I’ve come here a few times before. i have never waited for a pizza for an hour here! Then when I got my order it was wrong. I waited so long I just took it. I feel ripped off now. I was the 3rd person in a row they messed up on. One guy wanted his money back and they insisted on him taking the pizza for free but he looked at the pie and they got it wrong anyways so he walked off and left it! Hen the owner makes a face and lips«eh whatever» Wow lol this place is a joke. the owner offered me a drink. a damn soda lmao for my trouble. I would really think twice before coming here. Another thing the owners walked around helping kids with their stupid game tickets instead of helping customers out. I don’t see a future here if this is how they handle a Friday night.

1 star is high after being spoken to by the new owner. So we used to be a huge fan of this place. However I guess they were sold new owner is so rude and refuses to honor any of the coupons with his business name on them. Said it wasn’t his problem extremely rude to my wife and I. I will never go back to this place again. Looks like upland is going to have yet another empty building in this complex soon.

What happened to Red Devil? This was our favorite pizza spot and we just ordered some last night and it’s not the same. Super skimpy on the toppings, cheese and sauce. We ordered a pepperoni and bacon and we couldn’t find the bacon. It wasn’t bad just not the same at all, even bigger chain pizza places give more toppings, Red Devil used to be sooo bomb. The lack of sauce and toppings was disappointing, we won’t be coming back. Even Costco pizza is better.

Come here only if you want to slum it. There must be a mandatory neck tattoo, weight minimum(400 Lbs), and vaping policy to all those who enter this horrible place. Only come here if you have an EBT Card or want to blow your welfare money on the unwashed children you can’t afford. Maybe if you spend $ 400 on the arcade games from the 1990’s, you might win a sucker for your illegitimate child in the form of tickets and tokens. It took me 20 minutes to get a Diet Coke. 20 Minutes. The drink station for some fucking reason is in another line you have to wait and pray to the heavens that some mindless coked-out zombie behind the counter might help you. Then the wait for the Pizza. 45 minutes into this deplorable experience, I began to wonder if the staff fucked up my pizza. They did. A large pepperoni pizza is simply too challenging to present within 2 hours. They lost my pizza. They stood around with one another and mindlessly stared, drool fomenting out of their mouths, blaming me for making them do their own job. Another customer commented on my displeasure, «The pizza is good so its worth the wait.» I replied back, «Why should we have any standards anyways?» The clientele is really awesome. Hardcore drug use is required upon entry. Make sure to bring 400 screaming children and let them raise cain while you drink a tower of beer. Make sure to bring your vape too. Behind the alley, I’m sure you can get a prison face-tattoo to escape the repressive fluorescent lighting. If you have no morals or standards, then this place is for you. The sketchy owner offered to fill up ¼ of my beer in lieu of pizza. So kind. An entire 27 cents worth of beer to rectify the problem of a pizza that would never come. I noticed the worker’s eyes wandering in the back of that meth lab kitchen, trying to placate the responsibility of the missing pizza. Why would you want an organizational system for anything anyways? There’s an ATM so you can pay in cash. This will help the owner continue to evade taxes to provide to the US government. I’m sure he will still pay his employees slave wages. Cut their hours if they don’t charge you for ranch. It will also fuck you with a $ 3.50 convenience fee. I guess I shouldn’t be so judgmental about being a decent human being and expecting bare minimum standards of service. I might be judgmental, but I’m never coming back to this cess pool ever again.

No, no, and no again. And methinks not. Was in this place for the last time a few days ago. Tried to use advertised 2 for 1 coupon, and was told they were«no longer being honored» because they were«under new management. «But the coupon is good until 12/2016,» I reasoned. «No, and still no,» I was told. Message to Red Devil: Way to lose a good customer, NEWMANAGEMENT. WON’T BEBACKANDWILLTELLOTHERSTOSTEERCLEAR.

**Warning: NEWOWNERSHIP** Used to getting great quality pizza? Used to friendly owners? Used to the the comfort and experience of dining in a family owned restaurant? Used to your pizza delivery being delivered within 30 – 40 mins? Then… please, go to the other Red Devil locations or find another pizza joint in Upland! Shane and his family no longer own this location, and the new owner Ignacio, is the epitome of THEWORST management you could ever experience. He came from the fast-food franchise business and does not do any justice to local family owned restaurants. To my dismay, I found out about the new ownership AFTER my pizza was delivered. I called my order in on a BUSYTUESDAYEVENING(insert sarcasm here). I was quoted a delivery time of 50 — 80 mins(I was shocked, considering Shane always had his drivers deliver within 30 – 40). I obliged… and I ordered 2 orders of hot wings and the largest size specialty pizza, the Italian Stallion. My $ total was just shy of $ 50. I live 5 mins from the restaurant off of foothill. and yes, my pizza was delivered exactly 80 mins later. COLDPIZZA — SOGGYPIZZA — DEFINITELYYESTERDAY’S WINGS. It’s now close to 9:30pm, my children are starved, and I am at a loss… I called back, to speak with Shane — as this was NEVER the quality of food he produced. and to my dismay, the new owner came on the line, stating Shane was no longer there, and that he «Ignacio» was the new owner. I explained my concern, and questioned that I had waited 80 mins for cold, soggy pizza, and yesterday’s wings? Ignacio assured me that he would deliver a new pizza as soon as possible, and in exchange I would give him back the cold, soggy pizza and yesterday’s wings. I obliged, but come to find my children had scarfed down both of their few slices and wings while waiting. ONEHOUR later– the new pizza arrives. I take the box with the pizza & wings to the driver, and he opens my box and states he cannot give me the new pizza, as the old one is not complete. I asked him to contact Ignacio, and explained that his assured«as soon as possible» turned into a 1 hour later arrival and my 2 children ate at least 2 slices while waiting. Not to mention them waiting 80 mins for the FIRST pizza to be delivered. Needless to say– Ignacio demanded the driver take back my old pizza, AND the new pizza– and provide me with LESS than HALF of my $ back. What did I expect, you ask? A manager/owner to uphold the old owners mantra of customer satisfaction and nothing less than great quality food. Ignacio does not portray this, nor does this Red Devil location. Instead of making the situation right… he decided he was going to spend the time and money in making a new pizza and sending his driver out again, only to say«you did not provide the whole pizza. sorry. so here’s less than ½ of your $ back, give me the rest of your uneaten pizza». The driver was the only one who benefited from this — I am sure he enjoyed the newly made pizza and his gracious $ 10 tip from our family.

Went here with my family and they apparently had recently purchased the restaurant from the original owners, well after finding that out we wanted to void our order and leave because we knew it couldn’t be as good as red devil la Verne! But the manager and assured us and promised«everything is the same, and the recipes and ingredients are too!» Well the food came and no surprise the food was NOT the same ATALL not even close! The lasagna was some Stoffers frozen junk, the garlic bread tastes like paprika only! And the meat was dry, flavorless jerky they tried to smother with a Jarred tomato sauce and pass it off as Joeys from the Real red devil in la Verne! So I spoke to the owner, the new owner and I received a lot of complacent attitude, followed by the same regurgitate food poisoning the manager had previously tried to lie to me about. So we left of course, without finishing Our meal. The owners are rude, inexperienced restauranteurs and I give them 6 mo the max in business. Because I the restaurant world you just can’t have the complacent attitude of «the inexperienced owner is always right» you must have the attitude of the customer is always right and in a day of Unilocal and all other social media rectify every diners experience as much as possible to gain and not loose business. Crap pizza places are a dime a dozen in this world and we don’t need one like this around. You want great Italian go to The real Red Devil In La Verne! Ask for Joey and for goodness sakes order his moms lasagna because bless her heart she makes it by hand everyday and it’s amazing!!! Shame on the new owners of red devil upland for saying theirs is the same and shaming the red devil name!

The atmosphere is really loud, full of family with kids, but maybe this is because it was Friday night. We chose the Italian Stallion with was just a pepperoni pizza with more different pepperoni. It took 45 min to get the food so I wouldn’t come here again. Maybe for pizza lovers this is your place! The pizza was very cheesy as was the breadsticks. I wouldn’t recommend getting the breadsticks because it’s just bread with cheese so it tastes bland. Overall if you enjoy eating carbs with beer while watching sports then this is it. Ps. There are no waiters or waitresses. The only employees seem to be in the kitchen and cashiers to hand out food.

Disappointed Took the family out Saturday night for pizza We usually go to BJ’s or Delilah’s(always good) but I want to try a new place I chose Red Devil in Upland 5:30 pm on Saturday and Big Bummer we ordered half cheese and half pepperoni and it was a sad burnt pizza(see photo) I do not think they use sauce and even tho we ate on location the cheese was not the cheese where you pick up a piece and cheese strands are stretching from the pizza. Beer and soda was good I will not be back.11/28/15

Pizza = bread, sauce, toppings Wings = fried, hot sauce + ranch sauce Beer = beer = beer I’m not a rocket scientist, but I think Red Devil pizza has pizza science down. Anyone can put ingredients together and bake it in the oven but the pizza + wings + beer will have me coming back for more. Hot wings Perfectly fried and seasoned. Dip with the hot sauce or ranch for the perfect pairing. There’s a few celery sticks to make you feel less guilty. Wild Card Pizza Get this if you like pepperoni, chicken, bacon, jalapeños, and/or BBQ sauce. If you don’t like any of the above then you are missing out on life, and that is unfortunate. All jokes aside — the breading to topping ratio is perfecto. They also have good and affordable daily lunch specials. Service was there — Darian helped us with everything and made our first visit a piece of pie.

Each visit for the past year, I have seen a decline in quality. On Halloween evening I tried calling 40 times to place a to go order and each time it was busy. Decided to stop in and place the order since I needed to go to sprouts anyhow and when I mentioned how many times I called, the young lady laughed and said they took the phone off the hook because they are busy? I looked around and there were 7 people sitting inside… there was not a line. Your pizza is not that great to think that you are too good to decline customers. Later in the evening, 2 of the 4 of us got sick and the common denominator was the pizza. Won’t be back…

Great food. Don’t get me wrong, I love it, but the service is driving me to not want to come back. The hostess or girls at the counter never understand what we are even trying to order, even though it’s a house specialty. To top it off they leave all the phones off the hook so if you want to hurry your night by preordering, that’s out of the question. When I walked in, I looked and all the phones were off the hook. Pizza Hut and Domino’s have better customer service.
