Sooooo I’m kind of a connoisseur of fresh rolls. I have been eating them since I was a child and they have always been a beloved food of mine. Living in University Place, I have driven by this place so many times and have wanted to try it out, but for one reason or another I never quite had the time. Finally, about a month or so ago, I stopped in and ordered some rolls to go. I ordered two shrimp rolls for myself and two pork rolls for my boyfriend. Service on the phone was friendly and the rolls were ready for pickup in less than 10 minutes. They were GREAT — fresh, yummy and large. Fast forward to a week ago… I call in a pickup order again. This time four shrimp rolls(our fav). Same friendly and fast service, and the rolls were fresh and yummy… but they were half the size of last time! It was a big ‘WTF?!’ moment. C’monnnnnn! Not cool, Fresh Rolls! SIZEMATTERS!(At least in the case of my fresh rolls.) Not sure what’s going on but I don’t like it. Whether they be big or small, at least make it consistent so I know what I’m getting. I’ll probably try again in the future but I’ll go in with lowered expectations. Which is sad because I really thought this place could be my new go-to fresh roll spot. Le sigh.

I have to say the more I eat here, the more I like it. I wrote a review earlier this year and I think maybe that day it was just a bad experience. The mango shrimp salad is the bet thing on earth. I crave it! I would recommend this to anyone along with the tea! If you go here, have a salad. The phở is ok but the salad is incredible!

Gotta agree with Cindy below! After reading the reviews, we couldn’t wait to try everything. We got 3 pairs of spring rolls and shrimp phở. Not sure what the wrap on the spring rolls was, but it was thick, overly chewy and awful; this was the case on all the rolls. On top of that, the ingredients inside tasted only of cilantro and mint. Oh well, at least we had the phở to eat… wrong! Tasteless broth and noodles! I never leave bad reviews, maybe this was just a bad day, but really left a bad taste in our mouths.

I will be honest, this place did not hit the spot. Initially, I wanted to rate this place a little lower but I realized it was basically my personal preference. I took a step back and look at it a little more objectively. This Phở joint isn’t your typical Phở restaurant. The owners went a different direction with it and incorporated a healthier style of cooking. I order the combo which was a spring roll, their one size bowl of phở(which is a medium at other restaurants) and a tea. Great deal for about $ 10. The food was good, in each dish, I felt that was was lacking in flavor(in hindsight it could be because there was less sodium). Personally, I wouldn’t go back to this restaurant but if somebody wanted a bowl of phở and was watching what they ate, I would recommend this place. Also they have the calorie count to their dishes on the wall.

Tried Fresh Rolls for the first time tonight and I will definitely return! Very fairly priced! I had the shrimp and grilled chicken rolls and a thai iced tea and everything was great!

My friend and I come here every other week when we are out food shopping, we were first drawn to their large gluten free sign. Due to both of us having many dietary restrictions, we were extremely pleased to find a place like this. The fresh rolls are so delicious that all other fresh rolls seem like dirt to me now. Whenever we have the chance we just have to introduce our friends to this place because it deserves lots of love.

Delicious fresh rolls and salads. The phở is also great. The prices are reasonable too.

Overpriced for what you get! Walked in and waited for the waitress to finish up her meal and go behind the counter to take my order. The menu prices don’t match the prices on the wall. The rolls are good, not that fresh, but edible. Won’t be coming back any time soon.

Very good and fast. Ordered the combo meal #4, which is seafood Phở, one fresh shrimp spring roll and choice of tea; I had the Thai Iced tea. One person operation but still quick, efficient and friendly. All items were tasty. The only thing that would have been better was to provide a large angled soup spoon to sip the broth vs a plastic picnic spoon. Highly recommend and will come again myself next time I in the area.

The décor is nice, and cashier was helpful. The lady that I assumed is the owner wouldn’t speak, but that might have been due to a language barrier, then again it could have been due her being tired. She fell asleep in her chair. The tofu roll was good, so was the sauce, but it was a little watered down. I got the Vietnamese sandwich per the cashier’s recommendation– bad choice. The sandwich was pretty much a huge roll. The inners was good, but just not enough to comp for the bread, making the sandwich bland. The Vietnamese iced tea was really good, but it was more ice than tea.

The shrimp rolls were delicious, the prices are good and the service is friendly and fast. A couple minor complaints: The self-serve water was not very cold. Also, the phở could’ve had some more meat in it. Overall, I liked it and I’d go back.

I come here frequently for lunch. You can get a combo with phở, tea, and a spring roll for less than $ 10. Great for to go orders! Most of the other phở restaurants package the noodles, meat and broth separately and you would have to use your own bowl. But here they will package it all together and ready to eat.

Highly recommend this place! The rolls are always fresh and everything is made to order. They also serve really good beverages, such as Vietnamese coffee, smoothies, and milk tea. Everything is 100% organic, so I never have to worry. I’ve been going here since they first opened and they have only continued to get better.

When this place first opened my mom and I came here to eat there mango salad which she said was amazing. And it is! It’s unripened mango that’s sliced up and topped with a light dressing, some shrimp and other stuff and the best of all roasted thin slices of garlic. I’ve also had many of their spring rolls and every single one was good. When I went back a few months later, their portions have significantly shrunk, with the mango salad and the size of the spring rolls as well but it was still good and a pretty healthy choice around the area. Anyways, highly recommend the mango salad!

I didn’t expect this Vietnamese restaurant to be lacking so much in quality n flavor. I ordered their combo which came with beef phở, spring roll n hibiscus tea. The tea was good, the spring roll definitely tasted fresh, but it was different. The noodle and the texture of the rice wrap for the spring roll was most definitely different but I guess because it’s gluten free. Now the main reason I am giving them a low rating was because of their Phở. Phở is supposed to be aromatic, fatty, and pack alot of flavors. This one tasted like water, no flavor, and there were only 3 pieces of beef, but get this it wasn’t the round steak beef that is normally in Phở, it tasted like corned beef or pastrami. And their noodle wasn’t done all the way. And besides that I asked for lime and they told they don’t have any. Whattttt… Phở without lime. See I’ve tasted authentic Vietnamese and Cambodian noodle soup, it’s suppose to have all the components of spicy, sour, savory, a hint of bitter from the basil n mint. This Phở just didn’t work for me. It lacked so much. I’m sorry but that’s the truth.

Came here on a whim during my lunch. I was really craving spring rolls and stopped by this place. The service was friendly, quick and affordable. I ordered the shrimp spring rolls and a Thai tea. The spring rolls were pre made which made me nervous that they weren’t fresh, but to my surprise they were very fresh. I loved them. I wish they made them the traditional vietnamese way with pork but I was still very happy with what I ate. I would definitely come back to try their phở the next time I’m in the area. It’s a very cozy little place in UP. My stars were based off of the quality of my spring rolls and speed of the service :)

Tasty, filling and heathy veggie fare — sign me up! I wish they were open a little later so I could have a heathy take out option for late weekday nights when we are too busy with work, sports, etc. Fresh rolls would be a great late supper.

You’re looking for a quick healthy meal? This is definitely where you should come. Their spring rolls are fresh, tasty and cheap! My favorite is Vietnamese sandwiches(Banh Mi) that you can choose between BBQ Pork and Chicken. It tastes super GREAT! Also come for their Thai Tea which is the best Thai Tea I’ve ever tried.

This place is quick, cheap and has great fresh rolls! The chicken noodles dish was very tasteful. The portion size was just perfect. You could order a side of fresh rolls which were packaged and fresh for people on the go. Don’t go here if you are craving phở. The place is called fresh rolls for a reason!

I really like the concept behind this place: a small café that specializes in spring rolls. They also have some interesting salads and phở. The two female employees were both friendly and made my order in under five minutes. I ordered the BBQ pork spring rolls and the tofu spring rolls, with sweet and sour fish sauce as I can’t do peanuts. I got four huge spring rolls for $ 8! They were very generous with the sauce, too. The spring rolls were okay. They didn’t have any basil, cilantro, or bean sprouts in them, which is what I think makes a spring roll extra special. It’s just meat, lettuce, rice noodles, and carrots I believe. The fish sauce wasn’t my favorite either. But, I will return on a similar evening when I’m looking for a quick, light dinner to bring home. Maybe I’ll ask them to add some basil and cilantro to my rolls next time.
