I was delighted to find a phở spot near my office in University Place and this seems to be the one to go to in the area. I eat phở weekly, and generally have my go to’s but when the craving hits at work– I go to Minji’s. The flavor is good for both the fresh rolls and phở tai with a good amount of noodles(a little light on the meat), the prices and services okay, but there is so much MSG in this stuff that it makes it difficult to function the rest of the day let alone be productive.

Very nice and atmosphere and clean, staff was polite as well. Ordered the P-13, raw beef and tendon. Came out really fast. Only down side is there was not a lot of meat. Spring tool was good. Mango bubble tea was also very good.

We eat phở roughly 2 – 3 times a month. and it’s ALWAYS Minji’s; I order the Banh Mi Phở Bo Kho(B-1) Beef and Carrot Stew(best thing on the menu, if you ask me, and done the RIGHT way without the typical watered down flavor I’ve experience at other Phở restaurants). My fiancé orders the standard Rare Beef Phở(P-3) and absolutely loves it every time. Not to mention the sweet lady that is running the place(Minji?); she is so sincere and extremely nice, no matter how busy the restaurant is. A couple years ago we moved down to the Titlow Beach area and were looking for Phở one night. Stumbled upon Minji’s on Google and we’re glad we did. We typically order to go since we live down the street. We’ve eaten in maybe twice. The style and décor is definitely lacking and it’s pretty much what I expect from any asian cuisine restaurant; but at least it’s very clean in comparison to many; and the lady dresses nice.

We’ve been to several phở places in Tacoma, and Minji’s is our favorite for convenience while getting a solid bowl of phở. Best thing is that they are open late! We always get the rare beef phở, and it’s great. The egg rolls are excellent as well. What else can I say? If its too late at night and/or you’re too scared to drive to hilltop for the best phở in Tacoma, this place is a great second bet.

Been here a couple times now and have had delicious phở and friendly, fast service both times! The broth is delicious and doesn’t leave you feeling bloated like some places! New favorite in my end of Tacoma!

Phở is a product with an extremely high margin. Very low overhead in the phở biz. That being said make a large a large! The large phở at Minjies is a small most everywhere else. That’s my only complaint. It’s fast and flavorful and the service is on par with this specific type of restaurant.

I ordered a phở with brisket and tendon. I ordered a small and it was just that. I have had better phở elsewhere. The food came out fast, within five minutes. There was an abundance of noodles but little meat. Overall it was fresh but a bit plain. It lacked the savory broth. My main complaint was the owner. She was rude. I can understand if there are a lot of customers and you are in a hurry. But there was just myself and two others. When I went to pay for my meal, she didn’t bother getting up from the table until I told her I was ready. She waved my debit card to get my attention. I will not be going back even though it’s in close proximity of my school.

My go to phở place. Affordable and fast. Always nice, it’s great to see the same people working there consistently!

Minji’s offers the normal selection of ‘safe’ bowls of phở to bowls of phở that include tripe or tendons which scare some. Good phở, fast service, and it is repeatedly consistent which is awesome.

Been coming to this place for years and will continue to do so! Here are my reasons. Price: affordable, you get a large amount of food for your money. Along with the free sprouts and lime, it’s a good value! Quality: better than most places around. I’ve been to almost every phở place in the south sound area and this place provides some of the least fatty meat, with consistent cut noodles. Atmosphere: casual. This place is right across from Tacoma community college and so is catered to the student life. There is a radio playing current hits, as well as plenty of seating for even large groups! If you aren’t in the mood for phở there is plenty of other Vietnamese cuisine. Also a ton of places of bubble tea if you’re feeling a need for some! Finally, the staff here are some of the nicest people I’ve dealt with! Super friendly and polite, they have my order memorized too

I’ve been coming to this place often for 10 years and encountered a very unfriendly server. We sat down at a table and she served us water. My friend took a sip out of the water, while the rest of us didn’t touch the water. After ordering only desserts, the server took away our water and complained that we should’ve just ordered at the register. She then proceeded to give the water that she gave to us to another table, including the water that my friend sipped out of. She tried to stop her by calling out to her, but was ignored. Very rude and hostile. I only give two stars solely because the bubble tea is good. Despite that, I will not be returning to this restaurant.

I was happy to find that there was an existing Phở place closer to my home. Needless to say I will continue going out of my way to get Phở. The flavor was bland. Veggies wilted and not fresh. I ordered a large phở and asked for additional sauce and I was rudely hit with«it’s .25 you already have one of each.» I understand the business have I make $ but the smallest little container of hoisin sauce and sriracha is not enough for a large order. I find attitude at occasional Asian restaurants so the attitude here was not a surprise unfortunately but unnecessary.

Very sub par phở. The other places in town are worth the drive over this place. The peach bubble tea is what gets this place to two stars.

It is just decent phở here. It could be better though. I got a tofu phở which normally has a lot of vegetables in it, but it’s just a few onions and that’s it. No bok choy or carrots or beans or anything. The broth is also just decent and nothing to remark about. As many people have said, it’s usually very dead in here but that side of the shopping center doesn’t seem to get much business anyway except for the IHOP nearby. I will say that the bubble tea was quite possibly one of the best bubble teas I’ve ever had. It was really amazing for only $ 3.50 plus 50 cents for boba. I think it’s made with real fruit or a real fruit mix. Perfect sweetness for me and their large bubble tea is actually REALLY big. It had to have been at least 20 ounces. The boba were also very good and didn’t freeze up or make it hard to suck them up through the straw. It was a nice place to just pop in an grab a phở real quick if you’re hungry and it will satisfy your appetite at least, although it’s not the best.

You pay for what you get. Not the best phở I’ve had, but the price is decent compared to the other restaurants around.

Food quality, freshness, and presentation is nothing to write home about; just average sometimes hit or miss. Service on the other hand is unacceptable. The elder Korean Lady waitress lacks manners and understanding of the concept of «Customer Service» as we know it. To make matters worse she likes to gossip and say negative things about customers. How do I know this? I work nearby and sometimes go there for Phở with my friend who understands and speaks the language well. And she can hear the waitress say unpleasant things. Like this one time there were 2 Gay guys across the room and my friend heard her say unpleasant things about them in Korean.

Staff is super friendly and the phở is a good price ! Went there for the first time last week and the phở had a very different taste. It wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t what I was used to. Overall, I will be back. The service was very pleasant, I had a lot of chicken in my phở, and they didn’t try to rush me out.

My favorite phở place in Tacoma, very friendly staff, plenty of seating, décor is a bit off but I don’t mind because I usually get call in take out. The phở ga is my favorite choice. The broth is always steamy hot and the noodles are always on point. Please stay here forever, minjis phở. :) about $ 6.95 for regular and a dollar more extra for large.

The atmosphere seems to be lacking. Maybe because it wasn’t busy? I have come here once before with a few school friends during break at TCC and I didn’t order anything but they got some bubble tea. This time, my friend and I sat and the [supposedly] the owner came and dropped off some menus for us. I wasn’t really looking into eating Phở because I am trying to stay away from meat products. I am usually a huge fan of Noodle Salad Bowls and decided to order their Tofu Noodle Salad Bowl. When it came out, I think I lost my appetite. I’ve had my fair share of salad bowls at many different phở restaurants but this one looked like gunk in a bowl. The noodles were definitely overcooked and flabby while the tofu looked somewhat decent [fried] and the vegetables were okay as well. Usually, salad bowls are served with a mixed fish sauce but they set a side of peanut sauce for my salad bowl. I was okay because I love peanut sauce but eating it with my salad bowl was a no-no. I even tried to add Sriracha and chili sauce to make it taste better but hopes… the noodles ruined it. Way too soggy. I ended up nibbling on the tofu and left the remaining. Maybe I will try their phở someday but other than that… this place was no bueno for me.

Fair tasting phở; bare-bones setting. We’ve eaten here twice. Both times the beef and chicken phở was fair, not too exciting. Good springrolls, but a little small. Excellent bubble-tea. The service was friendly, but be aware seating may be assigned to you. You may not get to sit where you’d like to. Owners are Koreans, so like in Korean restaurants you may have to flag down the sever if you need anything and you go up to the register when you want to pay. The setting is pretty plain, tile floors, fluorescent ceiling. Jazz player paintings on the wall seem out of place.
