It was ok, I probably wouldn’t eat there again. The best part of the food was the free bread.

This is my first time trying Tony Roma’s. Ok I am very hungry at 9:30 pm. Apparently I didn’t know that this place closes at 9pm and they still served and took my order. I have to say Thank-You. Well Universal Studio closes at 10pm and I really don’t want to go out of the City Walk to hunt for food. I rather just sit down and eat, regardless what it is. Ordered the ribs and as well got some wings to share. The ribs are not bad, they are pretty good. The portion are huge. I couldn’t even finish my side(which is a baked potato) The ribs fell off the bone. Yummy. As well, I like the flavor on the ribs. I wish they had more options on the ribs. Wings flavor are limited to like 3 flavors only. Got the ice tea and it was really tea plus ice. I forgot to tell them I want sweet ice tea. They just assumed it was the no sugar one. Well it is night time and maybe I am better off drinking tea with no sugar.

Tony Romas is a store that isn’t generally a place I’d go consider going to because of its price range, but I have to say that this accident warranted a 5⁄5 in my book. The sirloin steak that I ordered was cooked evenly on all sides, but was slightly underseasoned. The sides were doused in bacon, masking the flavor of the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes as a whole, but was fulfilling. Only if this was not as expensive, I would have rated it higher. The brightside to all of this was the great service from our waitress, Mindy. Proactive and social. She would be the reason I come back.

First time here and my expectations of this type of restaurant was surprisingly exceeded! The restaurant was packed and we were told the wait would be about 15 minutes. Within 5minutes we were at our table. Soon after Karon came by and offered us drinks and brought bread to the table. I ordered the chicken with spinach cream stack. delicious! Btw Karon kept checking on us and gave me a tip on saving $ 5 off my bill :) everything was perfect!

This was a weird experience because it’s located at City Walk(read-kids everywhere! People working here must like kids) but I went in with a dear friend and her two little ones and we were virtually ignored and the presence of tikes clearly irritated the waitress. I kept thinking about Tina Fey’s Bossypants and how she relays her attempt at getting a waiting gig in high school but she makes up her entire waiting tables history and they catch on to this when she says her favorite part was ‘the kids’. So, I get it, kids don’t eat a lot and they smear stuff around. However, let me go back to the fact that this is at City Walk, and this area was pretty much created to keep families trapped inside. I had to get up and grab the hostess to find our waitress and then went to her with the bill to have it signed and grab our own boxes to take home. The food was okay, it’s a chain, but man, the service was baaddd.

Service was great and the manager was amazing. He always made sure we were taken care of and even made sure we got our horror nights discount. The food, however, was dry. My burger was a bit overcooked and my companion’s fish was dry. It seemed as if the food was cooked beforehand and left on the grill.

You can never go wrong with Tony Romas! It’s been my family’s go to place for birthdays and other special occasions. I recently took my boyfriend there because he’s never been and he loved it. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, mac n cheese, and veggies were delicious. Our server was taking very good care of us. We will definitely be back.

I was honestly so disappointed about our dinner last night. I was really excited to try this restaurant and have a nice steak dinner with some ribs. I decided to give it a try even after reading some bad reviews and I wish I hadn’t. The long waits were it there. As soon as we went inside we were seated. The inside décor is so outdated and makes you feel like you are eating at a Dennis. The food got there after we waited a while and the presentation was good. But the taste was lacking. My husband ordered salmon and shrimp and he was disappointed. Finished the mashed potatoes he ordered and shrimp and left the salmon behind. I orders the ribs with medallions and the taste wasn’t there. The medallions had no flavor nor seasoning and the sauce was just blah. Not to mention the meat was so stiff and hard to Chew the ribs were nothing but fat so I didn’t even eat them. All I ate was my sides mashed potato and broccoli. Wish we would have gone to bubba gump instead.

Food mediocre, the place décor is outdated, the Cadillac margaritas are weak, and simply regret bringing my family here. The servers were great very attentive and kept us(a party of 15 people of all ages) happy but none of use were impressed with anything else.

Very good place to start a romantic evening. My wife and I love the prompt service and hospitality of the managers and staff. If you’re at the City Walk I greatly recommend you go here. We went in the evening before a movie and it was really busy. We got seated quickly our drinks from the bar were excellent. The food was on point just a overall excellent experience.

I don’t understand why Tony Roma’s has such a poor rating. Every time I’ve eaten here with my BF everything’s been fine! Sure, it’s City Walk, and you have to pay $ 10 for parking. Sure, it can be crowded at times but the longest we’ve had to wait to be seated was like 20 minutes. That’s not too bad! The last time we went was really good. After waiting we got our table and the rolls with butter immediately came out. Our waitress Karon was a sweetheart. Not even that long after she took our order, we got our ribs. It was like super fast. The ribs were delicious and juicy like always and we were stuffed by the end of the meal. Good food, quick and excellent service, your baby right across from you… what else do you need! Thanks Tony Roma’s!

I give four stars for great customer service. The food was alright but not the best – it probably depends on what you order. I would go back to try something else.

Oh my! This place has gone sooooooo downhill since I started dining here a couple of years ago. My meal for 4 on Saturday evening was sooooooooo bad that I will never go to another Roma’s ever again. The Baby Back ribs were so fatty and undercooked. The broccoli(we all ordered it) was under cooked and raw. I informed my waiter and he just shrugged his shoulders and said sorry. Good thing I spent $ 120 and when we left, we went to In and Out Burger. I wanted a solution and got no willingness.

This review is based strictly on my waitress and not Tony Roma’s. Eunice, my waitress I feel needs to be trained on the proper way to serve a plate on the table. Slamming a plate, my beer, my water, reaching thru our table for things while we’re eating is not proper etiquette. Walking up to my table and saying«what do you need» is just not what I expect here. Really disappointed today as I chose to eat here to celebrate Father’s Day and it really wasn’t a pleasant time.

We came to this place on a Saturday night so it was expected to be busy and we will have to wait. It seems to be one of the popular places here at Citywalk. Surprisingly, we waited for 10 minutes, and we were surprised that the place was not that busy on a Saturday night. We sat and was offered sourdough bread and butter, and we didn’t know who our waiter was. We finished the bread before our server showed up, and we ordered drinks and food right away since we don’t know when she will come back. Our waiter let us know a head of time that if we need refill, we will have to ask because she will not come by to check on us. It’s good to know a head of time, I guess. We ordered the appetizer Streak and Wild Mushroom Pizza, the shrimp tacos and the steak. The pizza was a disappointment and it looked nothing or anywhere near the pictures on the menu. There were a lot of steak pieces but one piece of mushroom and it was not a wild mushroom, it was a button mushroom. The shrimp tacos was outstanding and the sauce were delicious, definitely will order this again, if we decide to come back. The steak was bland, it was more like a microwaved steak and was not freshly cooked. A disappointment. I’m giving this place 3 stars because we didn’t have to wait long for our table, the shrimp tacos and that our server surprised us and refilled out drinks without us asking.

I’ve always wanted to try Tony Roma’s, because it always looked like a nice restaurant. Unfortunately, it was not. I went with my family this past Saturday night for dinner. I ordered their pulled pork sandwich and a side of bacon mac & cheese. I’m not one to complain very often and I hate to waste food, but once I took one bite of the sandwich I was done. The bread was cold and the meat was sour. I ended up just eating the mac and cheese which wasn’t that great either, but better than the sandwich. The mac and cheese wasn’t the homemade/baked in the oven kind. It looked and tasted more like Easy Mac. We also ordered a children’s chicken taco and a children’s rib plate. The ribs were actually pretty good, but my niece didn’t eat the taco after one bite. It just all tasted like cafeteria food. The bread and garlic butter they brought to the table weren’t too bad. The service was mediocre and the price range is reasonable, if the food tasted good. It’s unfortunate because it’s in such a great location, but I recommend eating dinner at some of the other great restaurants that are at CityWalk. I’m giving it 2 stars since the ribs were good.

We came here for an 8:00 o’clock dinner on a Thursday night after a day at Universal Studio. We were seated immediately. However, it took about 8−10minutes before we were approached. Once we got our drink and submitted our order, we noticed other customer, who came in after us, have received their meal. As for the food, we ordered the Crispy Onion Burger, Tony’s Asian Salad, Mahi Mahi Scampi Butter with Wild Rice/Broccoli and Chicken Taco for kids. The Crispy Onion Burger and Mahi Mahi was good. The Tony’s Asian Salad was good too, but too much dressing. The bottom of salad was drenched after a few minutes. My daughter liked the Chicken Tacos.

We stopped by this Tony Roma’s on a Thursday night after a long day at Universal Studios. It was surprisingly empty. The location is great, right in the heart of Universal City Walk. The restaurant is modern, well designed and clean. The employees were very friendly and they provided solid, 3 – 4 star service. The food was good, but nothing I’d call great. Decent value for the quality, considering the location. However, with the plethora of other interesting options in the area I’m not at all certain this was the best choice. I’d compare this location to a solid Chili’s or Applebees more than a quality dining experience. Nothing WRONG with it, but nothing memorable either.

I’m a little torn about Tony Roma’s because I’ve heard people say good things about it, but my experience really wasn’t all that great. The weird thing is I feel like I really would have liked the food here had I not been exposed to some really great BBQ before. Basically the food here is good for people that haven’t really tasted much BBQ. We came for dinner before going into Universal Studios so the place was really packed. We waited a good 30 minutes before being able to be seated. The menu is pretty standard American cuisine. Between the 5 of us, we ordered some baby back ribs, beef ribs, and buffalo wing bites. For our sides we ordered the coleslaw, loaded mashed potatoes, and bacon mac and cheese. First of all, I adore their house bread. It’s fresh and delicious with their butter. The buffalo wing bites were also pretty good and went along really well with the sauces it came with. The ribs were supposed to be the big finish and they were really a letdown. The baby ribs were cooked properly but I found their BBQ sauce to be on the sour side. The beef ribs were just bad in my opinion. Tough and not tender at all. The coleslaw was also not good. I mean, how hard is it to make coleslaw. Mashed potatoes were decent and the bacon mac and cheese was just okay. Bland for some reason. I don’t see myself coming back to Tony Roma’s anytime soon because I feel that for the price, we can get better food elsewhere. Or at least, better BBQ for sure! Service was a little slow too which delayed our entrance into Universal! 2⁄5

I don’t know why we stepped in here to begin with, we were really hungry and craving ribs. we got there around 8:45ish. The place looked a little slow not to many people having dinner here. we got seated right away. within 5 minutes we were greeted by the server and tried ordering drinks. He said he didn’t know if we could order from the bar or not but he would try and asked what we wanted. I ordered a Vodka Tonic with 2 limes. The drink was horrible. for one of the easiest drinks to make besides poring a beer into a glass i would have thought differently here. we ordered a few appetizers to start with, The Onion Loaf a little over powering with grease and really hard to break apart to eat and didn’t taste Fresh. Tasted like someone else ordered it and it was sent back but didn’t want to waste it. The food here including the Main course wasn’t great. and paying 60+ dollars for a dinner for 2 when we even shared it just wasn’t worth our money here. The service was very scary, The waiter kept popping in way to randomly and scared my Girlfriend a couple of times. Little weird at that point. I just asked for a Check and said thanks but well go have a few drinks somewhere else. I wouldn’t recommend this place. you’ll get better service and better food at chilies, with a server that won’t sneak up behind you every 5 – 6 minutes.
