I mean, it’s theme park food. What do you expect? They don’t have an incentive to price fairly or serve up quality food since you’re in a theme park and you’re starving and it’s too much of a hassle to go anywhere else. Lines were long, but it looked like this place was a bit superior to the other places nearby — sad pasta and pizza? No thanks. At least this place serves up real meat that’s actually really tender. The portion of ribs is huge — there’s far too much sauce, and the sauce is too sweet, but you can brush the sauce aside and just eat the meat. The ribs were tender and juicy. The cornbread was dry, but OK. The baked potato skin was completely tough and inedible(sad, because that’s my favorite part) but the inside of the potato was fairly well-cooked. The coleslaw was also forgettable. A little over $ 21 for that, but again, it’s theme park food. What do you expect?

Oh man. What can I say about this place. The line was ridiculous(as were the lines everywhere this particular day) but we decided to try it anyway because it smelled great. We waited in line for 55 minutes, not wanting to leave because we had already wasted so much time in line already. I ordered the ribs. They were cold and not good at all. It came with a baked potato, coleslaw, and a corn muffin. The ribs were fatty and dry. Very disappointing, especially after the long wait. However I did also try the grilled chicken Caesar which was not bad. But do yourself a favor … Eat anywhere else !!!

Best theme park food item: Turkey legs!!! Don’t know what exactly is so attractive about devouring a big piece of meat like a cannibal but a Turkey leg always makes it to my theme park list! It’s big, it’s flavorful, it’s kinda easy to eat on the go while you wait for your next ride or better yet, while you sit and watch one of their shows. It’s shareable, a bit messy, but it makes you feel strong and powerful, Haha For $ 10.99($ 12.99 with coleslaw and corn), it’s on my must do list.

Yabba dabba doo!!! I actually got food here twice during my 12 hour visit to Universal Studios: first at 10:30am, then for dinner around 7:30pm. When we passed by in between those times, the line was ridiculously long. For brunch I got the chicken platter that came with a wing, breast, thigh, baked potato, coleslaw, and cornbread muffin. The chicken had just been made, and it was juicy and tender. The bbq sauce was actually pretty delicious. It tasted as if it had more ketchup than normal, but I really enjoyed the tangy taste. The potato was just your average baked spud. The coleslaw wasn’t bad; I enjoyed it. Although the cornbread was dry, I liked the hint of sweetness. Even though it was my first meal of the day and was quite hungry, I still needed help with this plate. For dinner I shared the ribs platter and ordered a side of corn on the cob. The platter came with a half rack of ribs and the same sides as the chicken platter. The ribs were on the dry side, but that yummy bbq sauce saved the day. I bet it would have been better if we had fresh cooked ribs, but it was towards the end of the night, and they were done grilling. The corn was absolutely scrumptious. So soft and plump. Overall I was pleased with both plates I ordered here. The prices were pretty reasonable considering it’s inside a theme park. I would definitely come back if I am here at the park again. Next time I will get the turkey leg.

Tried this place for the first time and I got the rib eye steak and it was a disappointment. I requested it to be medium rare and I got a rare, greasy steak. My friend ordered the same thing and asked for a well done and he got a medium rare. The food is very hard to eat with their utensils. My other friend who ordered a half rack BBQ ribs and said it seems like it was very old and hard to eat. We will try some other place when we go to universal. The quality of food is far from what you pay for

Tried this place out for the first time. The wait on a Saturday evening took about 30 – 40 minutes. There was more than enough food. Food is amazing with the bbq sauce. Turkey legs were huge and ribs were tasty. Turkey leg + cole slaw + chips combo was $ 11.99 Ribs + potato + cole slaw combo was $ 15.99. It definitely filled us up for the night! Definitely worth stopping by!

Went their this week and the staff was very rude. She let our food sit their for 10 mins while we stood in the sun… and when I brought it to her attention she gave attitude and when I went to show her my receipt she threw it like a child. The chicken was under cooked and had to throw it away. When your dropping cash at an amusement park and spending double what u would normally.,. you expect your food to be cooked well.

Ever wanted to dine like a true caveman? Ripping into half a chicken in one hand and a whole baked potato in the other? Dreams do come true at the Flintstones BBQ. Apparently it contains 13 herbs and spices and then slow roasted over an outdoor grill and finished with a brown sugar BBQ sauce. The chicken needs an extra side of bbq since it was mostly coated on top and once you get into the center there isn’t anything to dip the meat in to. The potato needs the help of salt and butter. But other than those minor things the grub was scrumptious.

BBQ… yum. One of the nice surprises was the rib eye steak. Grilled over coals… yum. Didn’t try the ribs, but the family ate them up. Baked potatoes. yum. The pulled pork sandwich is something to avoid: dry, almost no sauce and a thick dry roll.(The pork itself seemed flavorful when eaten out of context.) Served with very seasoned chips it makes the meal even drier. All meals felt a bit naked without a pickle of some kind. Kudos to the staff for their kindness in replacing the corn muffin that decided to leap off of the table onto the ground.

I ordered the ribs and they were disgusting — the sauce was mostly ketchup and the ribs were fatty. They have a «no substitutions» policy, and the servers just fling the food onto trays without even looking at you or your food, so I suppose it’s no surprise that my cornbread came with mold on it. Completely unacceptable.

We walked around Universal Studios looking for the best food we could find. Although we went in with low expectations, the food at flintstones wasn’t so bad. For the 4 of us, we ordered a turkey leg with homemade bbq chips, cheeseburger with homemade bbq chips, an order of ribs, and corn on the cob. The turkey leg was your usual carnival fare… It was actually a little tougher than other places that offer them. The chips were good… tasted like bbq lays to me. I didn’t try the ribs but my dad ate them in 1.5 seconds. Not sure if it was because they were good… or he was just REALLY hungry. My mom enjoyed her burger. I had a quarter of it and that thing was huge! Flintstone’s is probably the priciest place within Universal… but the amount of food you get was substantial. If I were to come back here, I’d probably choose flintstone’s to eat at again. 3 stars.

I would had no eat here if I had read the review first, but the mobile Unilocal apps was not able to load any of the restaurant inside the park just city walk. Order 2 ½ cheeseburger and homemade potato chips + 2 ½ chicken with coleslaw, baked potato and cord bread, The chicken has lots of food, the chicken is half size you can easily split into 2 since also has full size baked potato. The issue was the chicken sauce, the BBQ sauce doesn’t match the chicken, and the sauce is made for pork ribs. Too sweet too, is probably high corn syrup type which I hate. The chicken is pretty tasteless and no season at all just basically adds that BBQ sauce at top that is. They potato didn’t comes with butter; you hast to ask for it. Burger itself is pretty good size since is ½ pounds, problem was is a cheap buns, hardly any cheese there, almost no lettuce exist. There are other 2 better chicken places here. Burger aren’t a lot of choice but this one should be avoid in my opinion,.

This is usually a must stop place for me everytime I’m at Universal. The food is extremely tasty and juicy and, in my opinion, not as expensive as you might think considering what you get for the price. Had their turkey leg during Halloween Horror Night last year and it was extremely flavorfull and juicy and nothing to complain about.

Bordering on the 3.5 stars. This is a theme-park restaurant. I don’t go there for the costumer service, and I expect the food to be par at best. I’m hungry, need something in my stomach, move on to the next ride. But this was a surprise. First time I see a BBQ place at a theme park with an actual barbecue. The food was good. Better than expected. My girlfriend had the pulled pork sandwich and it wasn’t bad. The BBQ sauce was pretty good. Tangy and sweet. My chicken was well cooked. Overall a good experience.

Universal Studios is not the place to get BBQ unless you’re really craving for it; the lines were ridiculously and honestly I prefer Doc’s Chicken over Flinstone’s BBQ. The ribs were way too saucy, the potato was overcooked, the cornbread muffin was bland, and the coleslaw was way too watery. The BBQ pulled pork was also dry and the bread was hard and flaky, never again…

3.5−4 Stars I honestly expected worse, considering it was a Theme Park restaurant. My family and I got quite a bit of food, we got: BBQ chicken with a side of baked potato, corn bread and coleslaw — large portion of chicken! Bigger than the picture even. Juicy and actually really good. Baked potato was normal, alittle smaller at size and Cole slaw was very black peppery. Angus cheeseburger with the homemade BBQ chips — alright, it was a little dry to me. Nothing more than a burger. Chili cheese hotdog with homemade BBQ chips — it was a long hotdog yes, but skinny. The chili cheese was pretty good with big chunks of meat, the chips were seasoned really well, they tasted like the kettle chips. Honestly I still like fries with my meals instead. Overall a pretty good theme park restaurant. Price is about 8.99+ drinks not included. If you really think about it, the price of a burger at Red Robin. So prices are too big of a difference.

They ran out of Turkey legs. I placed my order at 5:19PM and the head chef didn’t even have the guts to tell me that they ran out of Turkey Legs until 15 minutes later. He said it would take another ½ hour for the Turkey Legs, I said I would wait. At about 6:10PM I asked for a refund since I was told it would take another 20 minutes. I’m guessing that they had no intention of cooking up more Turkey Legs since food service stops at 7PM. The customer sevice at Flinstones Bar-Q is a complete FAIL.

I was actually super excited to eat here because it seemed really delicious compared to some of the other places in the park. Other people’s meals seemed hearty /juicy for the price(hot dogs /turkey legs with chips, etc. Since I wanted something more moist /wet(this is a weird way to put it – I realize), I opted to get the sourdough bread bowl with chili for 7.99. In short, it sucked. The sourdough bread was not toasted even a little bit, so it was incredibly dry and… just shitty. The bread bowl wasn’t scooped out a lot, so there wasn’t much room for chili. The reason I give this place two instead of one stars is because the chili itself was actually realllly good! It was not too spicy, and it had A LOT of meat in it. I don’t know how healthy the meat is or anything as it seems like they just cut up meatballs and put them in there, but there was a lotttt of meat for how little chili we had. If I could, I would’ve opted just for a cup of chili next time, rather than the bread bowl. I am probably coming back to Universal Studios for a second time since I got the buy one day get one day free ticket. I will be sure to eat Taco Bell(at a slightly jacked up price than usual) than eat at Flintstones BBQ. Since Universal is so small, it’s worth it to pop out of the park to get some food on City Walk than eat in here! Yayy!

I usually try to avoid food at theme parks because either they are overpriced or the food just sucks. However, as usual, I was very hungry. I could not decide what to eat so I just picked this place randomly. I like how there are touch screen computers so you can select what you want. They sell hamburgers, pulled pork, smoked turkey legs, and bbq chicken. I decided to get the half chicken meal that came with corn bread, cole slaw, and a baked potato. The chicken was surprisingly MOIST. I didn’t expect the chicken to be so juicy. The bbq sauce was too sweet for me though. The coleslaw was good, it tasted like coleslaw and the potato was average. Overall, it was a good meal for around $ 9.
