The French Food Truck

Just had this in Cerritos by the Toys R Us today. Wow. I got the beef bourguignon and it was just awesome. Nice surprise that it came with a small salad with the reddest tomatoes I’ve seen in a while. Might have been $ 15, but it was worth the price.

A couple of guys I work with are from France. They actually get angry at this truck because of it’s dis-​service to the cuisine.
Overpriced and the ingredients are sub par.

A Duck pâté and chicken croissant sandwich.
That kind of says it all. With several other options that look equally as good!
The sandwich was moist but not too moist, has a flavor balance and flavor profile you’d he hard pressed to find on another food truck pr even a restaurant. This truck serves great food. So why not a 5 star rating?
Only because it’s a little pricey.
But worth it in my opinion… others may argue that point though.
But I will say this.

I am pretty disappointed with how the crêpe turned out: cold, sour, and soggy. I didn’t like how it was over priced.

Well, guess I’m the first to review this truck, which seems odd. I’ve eaten here twice now and both times I was not disappointed. It’s not cheap, so if you’re looking for cheap truck food. this is not your destination. Having said that, the food is worth the price or at least what I’ve tried thus far.
Choux — fried brussel sprouts — FANTASTIC! Yeah, it’s $ 7, but you get a huge portion and they are just delicious. They have a variety of sauces, of which I’ve tried the fennel cream and chipotle cream. Yum.
Le Croissant Cordon Blue — Good stuff. Chicken breast, ham, gruyère cheese, arugula with honey dijon mustard on a croissant. The mustard is sweet, the croissant is perfect and the ham, cheese and chicken are a superb combo.
Beef Bourguignon — I haven’t tried this yet, but both times I’ve gone, the other people on line that ordered this were RAVING. It’s expensive, but apparently worth the money. I’ve seen it and it’s a really good portion size. (Mushrooms, bacon, onion, red wine sauce, mediterranean rice.
I will update this review when I try the crepes.
