I have not shopped at Payless for years and years. Well, let’s just say I’m a little shocked at how high the prices are now. I thought this was supposed to be a discount shoe store. I was in the market for a specific type of shoe and they had it. They also had a BOGO sale going on so I ended up getting four pairs of shoes, buy one get one half off. You also get an extra 10 percent off when you show your AAA card. The girl who helped me gave me Nordstrom shoe department service. She greeted me when I walked in, told me about the sale, pulled down about 15 different pairs of shoes for me and pulled a bench up so I could try them on right in the aisle. Payless is a good stop if you are time crunched & in dire need of a specific shoe but wow, prices haven’t gotten so high here. I saw a small cheaply made little girls ballet bag priced at $ 25.00. Sort of redic in my opinion. The BOGO sale brings the prices down to a reasonable amount I guess, but the girl who helped me was a total sweetheart.

I went in to buy some work shoes on Saturday, November 7. As soon as I walked in there I was kindly helped by a young lady. She helped me find my size and an approriate style for work. I found a VERYSOFT pair of safeTstep shoes for $ 29.99. I had a 25% coupon from my boss, so I saved $ 5.00, I paid $ 24! I’ll definitely shop here again for work shoes or just casual shoes. Keep up the good work! :-)

What can I say? Well the fact the 50% of businesses that are 90% customer service oriented have it together and put the paying customers needs first and well the other 50%(like this store) do not. I waited 2 weeks for a special online order for my 2 year olds shoes to be delivered to this store. When I got the notification from my tracking app that they had been delivered I expected a courtesy phone call from the store notyfing me they were available for pick up. I waited 2 days and heard nothing. I then called, gave them the name they were ordered under, the style description, SKU # and size. They questioned my integrity by telling me they had not arrived and that I needed to wait a few days for the shipment.(This was after I already explained I had received shipment notification that they had received them. I was then placed on hold for 5 minutes so they could search and locate. They were found and available. Less than 2 hours after this phone call my husband went to pick them up, where he again had to show a picture, tell them the size and SKU # for them to locate them. They asked him to wait to sign a receipt. While he waited another 15 minutes to sign receipt for them. We had dinner needing to be picked up for ourselves and 2 year old. NOTETOCUSTOMERSERVICEORIENTEDBUSINESSES. THISISNOTTHEFIRSTTIME I HAVEHADTODOALLTHERESEARCHANDFOLLOWUPFORANITEM/SERVICE IVEPAIDFOR! In a nutshell, I highly do not recommend this store and will not be returning anymore business to them.

I was in the shop today and was so impressed with the customer service. The ladies in the shop were helpful with input about the styles that I was looking at, assisted me with looking for sizes in the back, etc. I’ve never had such good service at Payless, which I usually consider«self service,» so I wanted to be sure to give them a great review– they really stood out!
