Exceptional customer service. Brad was outstanding. Went through 5 – 6 different pairs of boots till I found the perfect fit. Learned the benefits of composite toe over steel in cold weather work which I will be doing. Extremely knowledgeable. All boots and styles fit differently I learned. Size 12EEE apparently was made for me in the boot I liked. If you need quality boots, a large selection of brands,(like Thorogood, which is hard to find), and fantastic service, come here. Nuff said.

The first impression of the outside looks of the Industrial Shoe Company was not the best. Reasons: Number one: The store name is much obstructed by this tree that if you drive by you can’t see the name,(enclosed a pictures taken by me of the store in my profile). Either you trim the tree or move to different location. I am sure it is expensive but the shoes are expensive also so the profit margin can make it up for the cost of the tree trimming or moving. Number two: Parking is available on the back, however no signs pointing to the parking on the back, total arrogance on the owner’s part. I parked at first on the side of the building because I did not see the faded signs«No Parking», after I went to the store and ask if they have parking I was told by later to meet very nice sale lady Kathleen that they do have parking on the back. My initial upset about the parking was very overwhelming after I parked and I walk thru very large door from the parking lot to the store later to learn that this is the warehouse and the entry door are on the side of the building. Again no signs pointing to the side doors as they are imbedded in the wall, so you can’t see the entry door if you look from the side of the building from far like the parking lot. The front doors from the street are closed and not accessible. Than the lady in the warehouse after I was inside the warehouse almost in the store make me walk outside in 90 degrees heat to go to the side door like I could not finished my journey to the retail store about 25 feet or so. I like to add she was not very polite about that either. Another observation while I was walking to the store/wearhouse I notice thousands of cigarettes butts on the grounds. That was not impressive at all. How about thinking about the environment when rains and all the cigarettes butts goes to the ocean when rain comes? Inside the store is very simple and not very appealing. I know its industrial store but has a very dark side of it inside so would be very scary to go there after the dark. Definitely needs some work on beautification of the interior and the outside. Marketing person needs to do some work for the exterior of the store. Ok that’s that. I am Merchant Marine and I was looking for specialty shoes, like oil resistance steel toe and other features that are required by the Company and the Coast Guard for safety reason while I work on the ships. Here comes the kudos for selection of the shoes, and the sales rep Kathleen that was very patient with my initial upset and very helpful with the right selection and her knowledge what I need and what is acceptable for my type of job. With having my right food wider she also recommended that I should take an advice from Sandra who was accidently in the store to making sure I get the right shoes and protection. Sandra is the Manager of the Industry Shoe Store. As I was contemplating if I choose between comfort ability or protect my foot form hurting further and maybe even get more damaged but wearing the wrong shoes. Sandra was also very helpful and went over her head to making sure I get the right shoes and inserts to keep my feet healthy. I also purchased some sucks. Overall the prices of the shoes are high for the specialty shoes, since they were made in China not in United States of America, would be nice to find shoes made in the US sold by the store. What a shame, that so many unemployed Americans and we have to make our shoes overseas. Make no sense, but I guess it is the business. In conclusion: My review is to express my opinion and observations. Thank You to Kathleen and Sandra for your excellent advice and help in purchasing my shoes. And Happy Birthday for those 5 while I was in the store and I had to wait for them to finish the song Happy Birthday. I was not invited to participate. What a pity. Czeslaw Knobbe Merchant Marine.

Yesterday, I had to get new slip resistant safety shoes because I sometimes inspect machine shops, construction sites and restaurants. The ones I have are getting worn looking, and I wanted something with a wider toe. There are lots of safety shoes available at places like K Mart and on line. But wide shoes are difficult to find, and I really wanted something I could try on and use it this week. Thankfully, a good friend of mine who is a machinist and mechanic recommended this place to me. I had a salesman named Cameron who was really helpful. I tried on a pair of Sletchers slip resistant steel toed shoes. What a surprise it was so light. There is excellent cushioning. It didn’t need any breaking in at all, and their normal size fits a wide(usually a 4E) foot like mine. The fact that they had one left in stock in my size was awesome. It was exactly $ 100, the going rate for an AINSI rated safety shoe that was attractive and wearable. Having a big warehouse on site was a big advantage to having my size. They also have a shoe-mobile that can go to your place of business — a big help to manufacturing companies. It’s located near the intersection of First Street and Grand near the DMV. I would suggest going to this store during daylight hours. It’s not the best place to be after dark. One of the employees has what looked like a white Scottish terrier mix perhaps as a guard dog. Though it barked, it is a really cute dog and would be as effective as Ryan Seacrest scaring off thugs. Interesting that as many shoes as this place sells, there aren’t any more reviews. I guess those who drive backhoes, climb scaffolds, tilt up concrete, weld, or work in food manufacturing don’t have computers or would rather spend their time on-line doing something else.

This place is awesome. This place only sells workboots and workshoes. I don’t mean like the fancy black wingtips, or the patent leather loafers for your dead end 9 to 5 job, I mean the blue collar, I work in a warehouse or a restaurant or a hospital mopping floors type job. I needed a pair of good workboots and they hooked it up. I even saved some money in the process. Read on and I will tell you how. So I had my heart originally set on a pair of Doc Martens, which were selling for $ 150+, but I also didn’t have a great experience trying the regular non-heavy duty models either. Plus they also didn’t have the one model I was interested in trying out either. So I played dumb and asked the salesman Richardo for a pair of well cushioned workboots. He first recommended Hytest, which I had never heard of(turns out they manufacture 8 major brands, including Wolverine, Cat, and Harley-Davidson). I originally passed, and looked at Converse workboots first. Pretty comfy, with a composite toe instead of steel toe(the difference between composite and steel is weight and price. Composites are typically more inexpensive.) I looked at the Florsheims workboots. Steel toe, very comfy, but pricey at $ 170. So I went back to the Hytest, priced at $ 140. They were super comfy, in a steel toe. Thanks Ricardo! This place is awesome.
