My husband and I went there late during an afternoon and were very pleasantly surprised to find ourselves alone. From the time we walked in, until the time we left, we had a great experience. The restaurant was clean. The staff was hospitable, and prompt when assisting us. I had the Szechuan Chicken and my husband had the Mongolian Beef. Both were excellent. I could have stood more spice in my chicken, but that is my preference. My husband was thrilled with the quality of the beef and found it to be very tender. Better than he expected! Huge shout out! Great job, I wish I found you sooner!

Big fan of Snowpeas! Pad Thai is to die for! Phở is excellent. Service is always extremely friendly and even though it’s a walk-up counter, the sit down experience is just like a restaurant with the food brought right to your table. Their«2for$ 20» 3 course dinner special for 2 people, including drinks, is an excellent deal for the cost conscious. To top it off, they have Mango Cheesecake and deep fried ice cream! Also, they give you a 5% discount if you do a «check-in» on Facebook. Love this place!

Was on the hunt for Asian food while in Tucson on a business trip. This place was small & I got take out but the food was good. The spring rolls are tasty & the lemongrass noodles(aka bún) was good. Great portions & good price point.

I didn’t have the most pleasant experience eating here. It was a weekend evening and our family sat alone in the dining room. It was cold, dark(some lights were turned off) and abandoned… made us feel like there was something wrong. Food was okay. The grilled pork in the Vietnamese grilled pork noodle was well seasoned and wasn’t overly burnt like how some other places serve it. The fried rice had a tiny fishy smell to it, probably from the shrimp. I would come back because the service was good and people at the counter were friendly.

I love this restaurant! It’s very conveniently located, especially if you live or work on base. My husband says their Sweet & Sour Chicken is the best he’s ever had! I also really love that there are a lot of healthy vegetarian and vegan options — I recommend the Vegan Pad Thai.

We were in Tucson for a couple of days and we wanted to eat Thai food because we had been in Thailand the year before and wanted to just remember the days that’s why we choose it here. It’s not a fancy place but clean and friendly staff. The food is priced good. We had pad thai and fried rice both with chicken. It looked very good and the pad Thai taste good but the fried rice didn’t. I was disappointed. I bet they make it better but the rice was and tasted burnt. I would go back again with no hesitation but they have to be careful with their cooking :)

The only reason Snowpeas isn’t getting 5 stars is because they DON’T HAVEBASILFORTHEPHÒ. Which means I will never come here again for phò. The place is clean, the dinning area is spacious and the cashier is personable and friendly. I came at an off hour so it was quiet. In fact the cook came out and ate lunch at a table in the corner. If the manager/owner reads this… Order some basil! Save the girl at the counter the embarrassment of having to tell the guest there’s no basil… An expected ingredient if you offer phò on your menu. Let me know if you start offering it… I’ll come back.

5 stars for EXCELLENT customer service&food! My family and I had dinner here for the first time and it was deliciously amazing! The food was very fresh! Cooked by the OWNER! We were lucky to be there when the owner cooked.=) I guess the owner cooks once a week or something. But it was nice to have caught him there and cooking our food. ;) Very sweet and nice! We had complimentary chips and dipping sauce to go with it. We ordered crab puffs and pork egg rolls to start off with, which were so fresh and delicious! Then we had lo mein w/chicken, kung pao chicken, and the famous pad thai! It was all so yummy! Thank you SNOWPEAS for the wonderful hospitality and especially for the delicious food! We loved it all! :) We will definitely be back!

Such a great place when you’re on the go. I really enjoyed the shrimp pad Thai. With a side of crab wotons. The cashier made me feel so welcomed by greeting me right when I stepped in. She was kind and sweet, I’ll definitely be returning when I cone back to tucson. P. s The 10% off on Unilocal definitely helped, so don’t forget use it ;)

I have been to Snow Peas three times and the experiences have been mixed. The first time I went was for an unofficial Unilocal event and I was able to try a few different things. For the most part everything was good, but the dish I ordered for my meal wasn’t very flavorful. Nothing was wrong with it, I just probably ordered the wrong thing. I really did like the chicken wings on my first visit. I would order the wings again. The fried tofu appetizer was amazing. The second visit was for a take out lunch. The price was right but the food wasn’t hot enough. I suspect the food was already prepared in advance and was reheated. There were hot and cold spots throughout the food. My third visit was for dinner last Friday. Our friends invited us to meet them. This time I had the Pad Thai and it was really good. We also had the mango chicken and we asked for it to be made spicy. It was also good. I asked for hot tea and they let me try a sample they had received. The tea was good and because they had received it as a free sample they let me try it for free. They remembered to ask me what I thought about the tea. There is a discount with your Unilocal check in and the owners/employees are always nice. They are very accommodating and there is a huge menu to choose from. After my good experience last week I would eat at Snow Peas again. This is a convenient restaurant.

Snow Peas is my favorite place to suggest whenever my fiancé asks for asian food… but it’s never anything that I’m wowed by. For example, tonight we went because we were too lazy to cook(especially with Thanksgiving being tomorrow), so we ordered the mango tofu… but what we got was tofu in a spicy red sauce with no grape tomatoes(as mentioned on the menu) and no mango… there wasn’t even a taste of mango to it! Talk about frustrating! As for why I have designated this place as a three instead of a two, they customize everything to make sure to avoid my allergies. They also make everything easily vegetarian. It doesn’t make it great, but it makes it edible, and when it comes to asian food, for me, that’s all that matters.

Very friendly and clean restaurant. Was greeted as soon as I opened the door and stepped inside. I was also impressed worth the customs and courtesies of the staff working there. Several please and thank you’s were shared. They do offer a military discount. After placing my order, I was offered a glass of water while I waited. They had fresh limes set out to add to beverages. The atmosphere was very pleasing and a sense of being at home. They also provide a play area for children. That is remarkably clean. The prices are very reasonable. For $ 11 and some change I was able to get an order of their Snowpea Special Mango chicken served with brown rice(you can get white rice too) and their crab wonton’s. The meal was enough for me to male two meals from. The mango chicken tasted phenomenal!!! Fresh veggies(onions, green pepper and grape tomatoes) and mango added to the dish. The sweet and sour that was served with crab wontons was perfect and delicious. The crab wontons were delicious. Wait time for cooking was a little over 10 minutes. Will definitely come back again!

My sister-in-law had been telling me to give them a try for quite a while now. So the familia and I finally made it down on a Friday when they have their«Luau Friday’s». On certain Friday’s they offer their regular menu along with a luau menu which has Hawaiian BBQ from Solid Grindz food truck. My family members own and operate the food truck, so I already knew their food was great but we had never tried Snow Peas. We ordered the teriyaki chicken plate which comes with white, brown, or fried rice and a scoop of mac salad. We also had the solid bang shrimp(same sides) and shrimp pad thai. Everything was fresh and hot when it arrived at our table. Everything was awesome. I had never had pad thai, and it was love at first bite. The Hawaiian dishes even came with a scoop of coconut pineapple ice cream for dessert. These business owners take a lot of pride in their food and you can taste the love in each bite.

I was there last week. It ha been awhile since I was there and the food and service are still fantastic. I ordered the Chicken Chow Fun and it was so good. The owner came out to talk with the people and remembered I hadn’t been in for awhile. What more can I say. They aren’t the cheapest, however, the food is fresh and the people are friendly. Give them a try. Also, when you check in on Unilocal, you should get a 10% off coupon.

I wanted to like this place more because they have a lot of vegan options which is awesome. I think it’s a case of ordering the wrong thing. I had the lemongrass noodles. It was on their vegan menu but when they brought out the dish they told me the sauce that came with it wasn’t vegan. They offered peanut sauce instead but the sauce they brought me wasn’t peanut sauce by any stretch of the imagination. So the dish was sauce-less plus it had zero lemongrasss flavor. I also got the salt and pepper tofu which was pretty good. I did have a headache after dinner so I’m sure they use msg which, whatever you kind of expect that at places like this. I think the crux of the problem is that they are trying to do a little of everything. Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc… I’ll go back if I’m in the area and order something else. Props for having a vegan menu.

Curry, Adobo, Phở, Pad Thai… Pretty much covers all your Asian food needs. Very easily located on Craycroft, it’s a snow pea green color(any guesses why?). Almost all of the menu is under $ 10 and then on top of that they have military discount and/or a discount for checking in. Their check times are super fast. 3 of us ordered our food and not even 10 minutes it came out and was nicely placed in front of us. It’s also nice because it’s not really a sit down restaurant but it is restaurant quality. Everyone seemed to enjoy their dish. For parents, they also have a small play area inside, which is nice, but it desperately needs to be wiped down. I probably need to go there and try it one more time before I can seal the deal and give it a solid 5 review.

I’ve finally made it here twice after seeing some mouth watering pics and hearing they won best wings at the wings and waffles showdown. However, each time I’ve come, I have attempted to order the wings and each time language gets in the way and my wings never come! I’m so bummed about this. One day I will get to try the bittersweet and tamarind bbq wings– at least I hope! I made the mistake of asking if I should try the bittersweet or the tamarind wings. At 4.99 for six wings, I should have just ordered both. The lady taking my order said, «oh, you like Vietnamese bbq»? I replied, yes, thinking she meant she likes the tamarind bbq. So, on top of the mango chicken I ordered, I also got an order of Vietnamese grilled pork to my surprise. Sigh. You place your order at the front and pay, then they will bring your food out to you. They have a Facebook check in offer and a Unilocal check in offer. Currently Unilocal is offering a free chef’s special entrée with purchase. They are also running a special on certain entrees b1g1 which are listed on a separate menu. You can order the full size or pea size combos. The pea size is on a separate menu. Then they have a vegetarian menu. Then they have an electronic menu like at Pei Wei. Then they have another area with pictures. So, what I am getting at in a long winded way is the menu is a bit confusing as they have a lot of different signs to look at. I’m not sure what they specialize in as they have Filipino, Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese food. Your food comes with some complimentary fried wonton skins and plum dipping sauce. Nice touch. I have had the Vietnamese grilled pork twice. I love the fish sauce that comes with it. The first time the yolk was cooked through on the egg, which was a bummer. You want it nice and runny. The hot and sour soup was nice. The Vietnamese rolls were great– super fresh tasting. The kung pao chicken was cut small and barely battered– pure perfection. I was expecting it to be battered, but it was just they way I like Chinese chicken and I will be coming back for more. The mango chicken is not battered but uses lean white meat chicken, tons of fresh mango, green bell pepper and cilantro. The sauce was nice with a slight kick. Next time I am only ordering wings and asking no questions in hopes I finally get to try them. Please cross your fingers for me.

Wow, this place has greatly improved since my last review. Are you looking for a place that has yummy Pad Thai? You found it right here! I tried it a month ago and I’m hooked! It has the right amount of seasoning and the noodles are never soggy. It’s $ 8.99 so it’s very decently priced. They offer military or Facebook check-in discounts as well. It’s also neat that they added a play area for kids to play in. No more squirmy kids in their seats! Check them out :)
