Wonderful food and service. Heather and Austin went above and beyond to accomodate a small catering order for a work event for me. Helpful, kind and thorough!

I stopped in on a Friday morning during a weekend in TC. It’s a very simple appearing shop, one display case filled with bagels, pastries and Biga branded thermoses. The walls are lined with art for sale, and vintage kitchen appliances sit on top of the counters, the décor is cool. The shop was busy that morning, I seemed to have brought a crowd with me, as 4 more people shuffled in after I placed my order. I ordered a large red-eye and a jalapeño cheddar bagel for myself, and then a plain bagel with cream cheese for the wife. I was happy that the guy working was able to make something sweet for my wife who does not like bitter coffee drinks, it ended up being some concoction of hot chocolate and coffee. The bagels were tasty, and chewy. They were perfectly sized so it wasn’t a giant gut-bomb to start our morning off. However, you do have the option to add egg, meat and cheese if you’re looking for something more substantial. Overall, Biga is a very down to earth spot with bagels that hit the spot. They were only a 3 minute drive from Park Place, where we stayed, and it was definitely worth it.

I would get a chai drink and a muffin at a place that sells bagels, primarily. Day old goods sometimes available. Excellent chai. Not a ton of seating, just along the window, more of a takeaway place. I got a muffin/cupcake, chocolate and cream cheese. Omg, reminded me of the choc and cream cheese cake/brownie from ucd coho, happy memory of treats past. I am *cough*, frugal, so I had the day old one. I bet the fresh one tastes even more excellent, I just ate the top of it because calories…

Good bagel, yes. Great bagel? It is chewy like a traditional bagel, but without the«crust». Understand that Traverse City appears to have a dearth of bagel stores… but $ 14+ for a dozen? Sounds like supply/demand. Their onion bagel is not a traditional onion bagel; rather it is flavored with bits of green onion. No pumpernickel. No sticks. No bialys. Bagels provided in a box like doughnuts. So not traditional. Still a good bagel deserves 4*.

I had been looking for a place in tc that makes good bagels unsuccessfully until this summer. A friend said we would had to try it out after seeing a review on Unilocal and she and I both thought they were great! Some of the best bagels I’ve ever had.

Really delicious everything bagels. We grabbed a half dozen for breakfast while we were vacationing. They toasted up so nicely and were so chewy and soft. Mmmmmm.

I’ve been using Unilocal for a long time, but I signed up just to give this place 5 stars! Te bagels were amazing(crispy on the outside, chewy in the center), the coffee was delicious, and we had to get a muffin to go because we just couldn’t leave without it! I wish this place was close to where I live because I would stop every morning!

I thought this place was great. I was in town from Chicago and looking for a local bagel shop(my husband and I are bagel fanatics). We found this place(on Unilocal nonetheless) and had to give it a try. Anyone that has jalapeño cheese is automatically good in my book but beyond that the bagels were delicious too. My husband had a lox and bagel and loved it. Compared to back home, the pricing was dirt cheap — you can’t go wrong here.

This quaint little hole-in-the-wall is located within one of the most nondescript shopping strips on 14th Street. I don’t think there is seating for more than 4 or 6 people. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted by a case of bagels and some scones(mostly bagels). I have always been greeted by whoever is closest to the counter, which is always a plus. The flavored cream cheeses are not from a big bulk tub, nope. They whip them up there. The scallion is loaded with fresh scallions, the veggies is loaded with finely grated carrots, radishes, scallions and dill. And they are delicious! I am not a big quiche fan, but took a chance on their quiche one day for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. It was excellent, not the least bit overcooked and the crust was very good. They have several cheesy bagel varieties, sesame and others, I just haven’t had a chance to try them all. Prices are more than reasonable and they offer daily specials. Worth checking out if you love bagels or quiche or if you happen to be in the neighborhood.

This bakery has the best croissants! They change the flavors, depending on the season. My favorite is blueberry and cream cheese. Their specialty, however, is bagels. Compared to anywhere else in town, these are the best. They are chewy and flavorful. Try the salt bagel with the sundried tomato cream cheese. You can stop in for breakfast or try out one of the sandwiches on their full lunch menu.

I’ve been to Biga a couple times and have also done a special order for a party. Every time I have their bagels and other baked goods, I am more and more impressed. They do a great job with variety of flavors, cream cheese selections, and the bagels themselves have a nice chewy-crusty-soft texture, just like a bagel should. Very delicious!
