I just left there and i got a simple breakfast one waffle, corn beef hash, and turkey sausages and rasberry ice tea. and the bill was $ 19.68… I asked the cashier why was it so expensive she said everything was charged as side orders. I said thank you I will never come back here

Great food and excellent service. We drive further to come to this location rather than go to the location down the street!

Breakfast was very good service too. Someone needs to fix up the restrooms! scrub them down with a fire hose and bleach and fix the broken toilet paper hangers. No pride of ownership! The door handle needs scrubbing too!

Great taste, great prices, friendly service. Here today, Monday for the daily special, fried chicken dinner for $ 8.99. The Chicken is always hot, comes with soup & salad, half of a chicken, one side, a bread and a desert.

Great food and service, best spires I’ve been to hands down. They have free wifi & very good deals, wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

I love the service, they bring your food out really fast, the coffee never stops and the portions are really fair. We went for breakfast, my husband n son ordered the lumberjack and they loved their waffles and french toast. The only thing that adds up is the drinks, $ 4 for a apple juice seems a bit steep. Oatmeal is yummy, and really sweet n yummy fruit.

Funny thing how 4places withe same name can be so different. This location is GREAT. I have not had a bad meal here ever. usually hit this place 4nights a month and 2 times a month for breakfast. Don’t like their chili. But everything else has been great

Meh. I’ve experience better sums it up. The service is whatever. They take your order, give you a drink, then a check. Nothing special. The food is meh, blah. It’s taste like hospital food pretty much. They need to spruce this place up somehow. When I eat here I feel like I went back in time (but in a negative way). I gave three stars for the pricing. The prices aren’t horrible, but you get less food than most diners.

We came here cause of the very good food, but have been sitting at our booth for a while without anyone coming to even take a beverage order. They are not busy it’s 2pm. Been here done that before here. Too bad the hostess can’t step in and help. She wasn’t busy

Been here a few times now. Not too sure why people give them low ratings. The food has been consistently good. Good value for the money. The staff is friendly and fast. Never had to wait for a table. Something that norms many times cant deliver anymore. Now if they were open 24hrs that would be even better.

I’m giving 5 stars to fight the one star wonders on here! lol They basically have the best prices around. Did you expect the food and presentation of Lawrys Steakhouse? Go spend 100 dollars then! I found the service/​food/​portions to be way better than other value restaraunts! Fried chicken dinner with soup, and salad, and veggie, and potato and roll and beverage and ice cream for 10 dollars.

My breakfast was good extra crispy corn beef hash and scrambler egss with home fries, wish I would have took a picture because it was good the chef did a great job.
Now the restaurant stank as soon as u walk in, and the waitresses talk to much for a place that needs to get wiped down

I don’t want sound like a bad record, however because I’m black and dressed nice and have a great career and own a home and great a nice car doesn’t mean I should be treated like a thug or racially profile at breakfast. When your food comes out cold and your seated by the kitchen when there are available seats. Your waitress ignores you when your addressing you burnt cold food, I’m just saying this 2015 not 1934. Wow lol

Food is always great, especially the chicken fried steak made with chicken. Service is always great and the place is always clean. Great place for breakfast.

Spires Rib Eye steak is always delicious and cooked just right whenever I order it. Please continue to do so!

we came here for breakfast after halloween.
i ordered 2 eggs over hard, hash browns extra crispy, 2 pieces of bacon, and sourdough toast bread. the hash browns were just the right amount of crispy. i was full but kept eating it. the bacon was perfect. not too crispy, not too soggy, and not too oily. A+
we also ordered the eggs benedict with homestyle potatoes. it was delicious! the potatoes were a little too soggy for my taste, but it wasn’t ordered extra crispy. A
the service was a little slow. i don’t remember whether or not she came back to ask if everything was ok. but perhaps it was because the food was so good and we didn’t pay attention, or perhaps it was because she was the only waitress there and the place was pretty packed.
this is the first time i’ve been here since 1990 and it brought back many great memories. hopefully, i’ll make many more to come.

So if you love breakfast go here. If you love dinner and are over 60 years of age. Go here. They do give a senior discount but have very little options on the menu. The chicken fried steak was ehhh. And it’s $ 4.99 for a kids meal?! Sort of overpriced in my opinion.
Almost everyone who goes here is a regular so be prepared to be stared at if you’re a newbie :)

When I first went to Spires restaurants, it had decent food and services. Then I started to notice that the people start to get obnoxious over time. Then the food start to get worst such as cold food and even old stale food. After a while I stop going to Spires restaurants. The Spires restaurants in Carson, Long Beach and even Cerritos, now called Peris restaurant, were getting so bad that I stop going there.
Then I check here on Unilocal and notice that there is a Spires restaurant in Torrance. I read the review of the one on Hawthorne Blvd and it shows that the food there had gotten bad over the year so I decided not even to try that location. But I notice that the Spires restaurant on Sepulveda Blvd had decent food, as there was no complaint about the food.
I decided to give this location a try but was I surprise. The food was cold and the fish was luke warm and under cook. The food was really crappy so I decided not to come back here again. I paid my bill and left a standard tips, not to telegraph to them that I was not coming back, and left. But a positive thing I have to said is that the waitress was not obnoxious like the other Spires, but that could have change if I went back here more than once, which I will never find out as this is my 1^st and last time.
I write this review with 1 star so that those of you who rely on the review know not to bother coming here. Had there been a review warning me about the crappy food, I could have avoid coming here.

Luke warm food, cold food and under cooked meats is not safe. Per the FDA food should maintain a minimum of 140 F degree.

If I want sit down breakfast on the cheap, this is probably my favorite place. Too bad I don’t live as close as I used to.
Parking is always easy. They’re quick with the coffee and the refills and the prices are the best around. They normally have combo specials that are an excellent value. The food is never going to be gourmet, and the décor is dated, but the average patron simply doesn’t care. It just needs to be hot and consistent.
I hesitate to say that the overall experience is a bit ghetto, but it’s not a date place at all. I’m pretty sure that my wife won’t come back with me, but if I want to head out with the boys and heal a hangover, this place works great! 2 stars for the food, 4 stars for the service 5 stars for the price.
