Been a regular here for pub trivia for several months. We tried several places but the selection of food and the great rotating beer choices made this place a keeper.

Don’t go here for the food. Frozen veggies and frozen fries. The much touted brownie was like a bad box sponge cake. Guys really its not that hard to make a good brownie, even out of a box. We did enjoy the appetizer of brussels sprouts and pork belly hash, despite the fact that it was totally thrown together. Service is attentive and the atmosphere friendly.

We had the best service upstairs! Came out here on a Sunday and the Bartender/server was on top of his game! Really recommend this place! Great food and staff

Classic place in Riverside Dr., alongside with Bob’s Big Boy. Good food, good bar, two floors which somehow separate different types of customers. This is more like a place to chat instead of having wild fun. So, if the food is less expensive, that will be truly amazing. I will definitely choose this place to be my weekly chill spot, it’s a cool place.

My friend and I were really in the mood for some solid Irish pub fare. We decided to give Timmy Nolan’s a try and wow so stoked we did! First and foremost it’s a 2 story building providing an up stairs and down stairs with a bar in each and full menu. The down stairs was packed so up we went and I’ll tell you I’m glad we did. We sat at Steve’s bar and his service, hospitality and knowledge of the menu, beer on tap was 5 stars. I really can’t sell him enough ! For beer we both had the Boonetown Hoplarium Double IPA that was stupidly amazing. If you are a hop head like me order this beer. I had some John Powers Whiskey neat on the side which took out the chill for sure.(«Chilly» for LA in the 50’s) We split a cup of stew which was tasty, savory and peppery with some tender beef and tasty veg. 3 Wee Rubens– holy cow just off the charts if you dig corned beef and or Reubens MUSTORDER! Finally the Fried McPickels — what can I say? Freaking awesome ! It’s a fried pickle slice with a light but dense batter. Very very tasty! Parking was easy on the street making Timmy Nolan’s a 5 star experience. My compliments to the management, chef and kitchen and especially Steve. We will be back

Decided to love the bar when everyone started singing True with great emotion… Yes. And shocked everyone in here knows all the words.

Came for St. Patrick’s 2016 and the patio was easy to get service. Ordered food and drinks which came quickly. I get 5x’s miles using my registers United MileagePlus card so I’ll be back for sure.

Pretty classic. Been around longer than most kooks know. Service is neighborhood style, relaxed and not polished. Not a slam, just not 5 star. They should probably put some better beers on tap. Upstairs is great for small gatherings.

So the chips and salsa tastes like spaghetti sauce drown in Tabasco. But they have hands down some of the best fried pickles. Boom. Suck it. Drops mic.

Timmys is Timmys. Same friendly folks there. No vegan options. Decent happy hour. I sit at the kitchen bar and it is fun to watch the guys cook. Food does look awesome. They do have a chaffing dish out at happy hour that is usually normal bar food that look good. Don’t forget to go upstairs.

Came here with my friend who wanted to see Alabama/Clemson game. To preface the situation, I was there to watch Alabama lose, he was convinced I was there to support him. Nope… I was there to watch Alabama lose. He’s a die-hard Tide-y Bowl fan. Anyway, they won, and I groused about it. The happy hour food here is fantastic. Got the wings, and a couple of potato skins. Great deal. I also got some non-alcoholic beer. Which is when it went south for me: how the fuck did N/A beer cost the same as real beer? Shit, made me want to go back to real beer. Anyway, great atmosphere. Very friendly service. Good to talk to people who actually watch sports. A little tight on the stairway going up. And on this faithful night, was able to see a local 70+ year old man paw at a late 20’s girl. Did I mention he was doing it with only three fingers? That’s a pub with character. Great times and memories. Parking is… what it is. Either the lot will valet at night, or go down the street a little under the bridge.

I had chicken tenders and they were mediocre. The curly fries where ok. The food came pretty fast and I liked the tv.

I got the Cajun melt. Extremely good and filling. The beer selection is great and a very laid back atmosphere. Clearly lots of regulars hanging out but not in an intimidating way. Service is good as well; seems like servers help each other out and double as bartenders.

Such a great location and atmosphere, but the food we had tonight was not that great, nor the service. We walked in and found ourselves in the bar. We didn’t know if we were supposed to wait for someone to take us upstairs to eat, or what. So we wandered up there on our own, then stood at the top for a good long while while 2 guys ran around the bar like chickens with their heads cut off. One finally noticed us. We said, «two for dinner,» and he told us to sit anywhere. So we sat and then it took him a long time to bring us menus. I ordered the Celtic burger which is a ground corned beef burger and curly fries. It tasted good, but was very chewy and very salty. My partner ordered the beef stew in a sourdough bowel. It was really awful. It had a very strange taste that we couldn’t quite figure out. He ate about ¼ of it and couldn’t finish it. We weren’t offered refills on our iced tea until the check came. Too bad, this could be a fun place to go on a regular basis, but based on the food and service tonight, we probably won’t go back. Someone needs to turn this into a cozy cabaret that serves food. The plastic glasses and big screen TVs is just not that interesting anymore in an entertainment industry city and nice part of the town like Toluca Lake.

Timmy’s never disappoints. Nice atmosphere, delicious food, and great service. You feel like family when you’re here. Bryce and Andy are fabulous. Every time I come here, I order something new, and I am always impressed. However my favorites are the Shepherd’s Pie and the Reuben Sandwich. I can’t think of one negative thing to say about this place!

I have never come here after dark, so I don’t know how crowded the place can get. But I will say that lunchtime is a great time! The staff here is super helpful. The bar staff know their menu(food and drink-wise), and you don’t ever feel like you have to fend for yourself. The ale I wanted(Smithwick’s) was unavailable, so the barkeep helped me find a delicious alternative(Stagecoach Stout). And the food was delicious. I keep it simple, Fish & Chips. I like jukeboxes, and though I didn’t expect to find one here, they do have one! So, I got to play my fave songs. Playing my fave songs and actually hearing them are two different things, as sometimes other patrons in the bar can get REALLY loud. Other than that, I love this place!

Guinness is on tap here, betches. This place is a classic Irish pub on the Toluca Lake strip with great bar food, full bar, and a fantastic place to watch football. We’ve spent many Superbowls and World Cups here. They have TVs amongst the Irish décor, which is on point. All the TVs will have different games on and you can arrive early to request a game you wanna see. Staff is all real friendly. Food is reasonably priced and pub-licious. The Santa Fe chicken sandwich is and the appetizer sampler platter(wings, calamari, mozzarella sticks, and potato skins) are so so good. Fried pickles are great if that’s your thing. Keep your panties on, vegans and vegetarians. They have stuff for you, too. Their salads are all good if you’re staying away from the fried goodness, and they even have basic steamed veggies. Tips: They have AC. Thank GOD. They take reservations for groups in off season, some booths upstairs have private TVs. Sit upstairs if at all possible. It’s way less packed with drunks. Did I mention they have Guinness on tap?

Absolutely LOVE this place!!! It is quaint and the staff and all the regulars are super friendly. The menu has a good selection and the food is delicious. Good beers and the BEST Irish coffee in Los Angeles! I couldn’t help but order 3 of them. And the cream they use in them is like ice cream! To die for! The stuffed baked potato was phenomenal as well. We also got the fish and chips. I don’t really think there was anything special about that dish in particular, however it didn’t disappoint my friend and I because it was exactly what We were expecting it to look and taste like. Can’t get more basic than that an Irish pub! I literally just moved around the corner and no doubt will be in much more regularly from now on, and very excited to do so!

I must have driven by this place many times and just didn’t notice it. I like the tv show Entourage and enjoy visiting places that were locations on the show — That’s how Timmy Nolan’s got on my «radar.» Season 8: What a great place! I love Irish & English pubs/restaurants and this is a good one. Classic atmosphere, nice crowd, friendly staff. I’m not up on the beer selection here because I’ve just drank Guinness. It is poured correctly though :) Decent menu. The Timmy Nolan’s Reuben sandwich surprised me. I’m ok with Reubens but I don’t usually order them. A pic on Unilocal here, caught my attention and I decided to order it. WoW! I loved it. What makes it, for me, is the garlic, cheese rye bread. I enjoyed the diversity of the crowd here. Not just a bunch of frat kids getting drunk but a good cross-section from the neighborhood hangin out and having a pint(or 3)

It was late one Saturday after a trip to the Hollywood bowl. Music in our ears and need to continue the merriment we hit Timmy Nolans. 20+ beers on tap including some greats from Allagash. The jukebox has a whole bunch of classic tunes and the crowd here is always ready for a sing a long. «God bless us one and all»

My Husband and I stopped by for lunch and a few beers. Great Beer selection. Nice and cold to. My Husband had the beef strognoff and I had the corn beef and cabbage. The strognoff was delicious but my cornbeef and cabbage was really bland. I had to come home and make a cornbeef and cabbage the following day cause I was soo looking forward it lol. Besides that the service was awesome and the jukebox had a lot of great songs. We had an awesome time, just won’t be ordering the cornbeef again.

Never once have I had anything but a great time at Timmy Nolan’s. I always go to the upstairs, and every barman there knows how to steer you to your kind of beer. They’re totally open to letting you tie on on proper, they have curly fries, and a few of the kind folks working there are more than just a little easy on the eyes. One of the waiters had the calves of a disney prince.

A regular haunt of mine; the food is amazing and the drinks are always good, but the staff is the best. My regular order for at least two years was the J Boogie melt, which is a delight, and recently I have swapped over to the stew, which is served in a bread bowl and is wonderfully tangy and acidic. My sister, a Caesar salad connoisseur, insists that theirs is in her top ten. And I had my first drink in this bar. Over the last four years I’ve tried a lot of great new drinks, just by talking to the various people who work here and asking for recommendations based on what I have liked in the past. Fantastic knowledge of alcohols and cocktails, and the sweetest folks. If you come often, everyone will know your name. It’s just a really great atmosphere! (also there’s parking around back, which is a major plus, coming out of Hollywood!)

I felt like I was in Dublin again. I had wanted to go to an Irish pub-restaurant for my birthday but only knew of a few in Santa Monica, so I found Timmy Nolan’s on the web and wanted to check it out. Now beer selection is very important to me so I sent a message to a manager via Facebook asking about beer selection, parking and if reservations were needed. I got a really nice reply from their manager and she even went ahead and reserved the best table for my wife and I. I was instantly comfortable and the bartender and servers were friendly, laid back and enjoyable to talk with. The food was terrific and like I said beer selection was great. It’s been a few months and writing this review makes me feel that a return trip is in order.

You have to love this place. Or you shouldn’t come there. It’s one of those bars where everyone knows your name. If you come enough. And don’t get piss drunk and fall over the rail. Not that I ever did that. If the crowd is important then this is one of those places.

I’ve been here twice now and if I become a regular, this place feels like it could become my Cheers bar in the Valley where everyone knows your name. That’s the kind of vibe I get here! Super cool, super chill, the servers and bartenders are nice, good beer selection, and Mac and cheese!!! Like sinful, oh so good but oh so bad for you Mac and cheese. I’m a fan of this place and think it’s a great neighborhood watering hole! And there’s parking in back or street parking.

I’ve been here a number of times and every time service and meals have been great! I think the décor of this restaurant is very classy and quaint. They have an upstairs with tables and booths and their downstairs has tables, booths and bar stools. They also have live music on the regular basis which I appreciate! I usually order their No Blarney burger with cheddar cheese and steak fries on the side. I order the meat medium-rare and it’s always been cooked to perfection! The steak fries are hot and crispy and the meals are always fresh. They have a very small kitchen and I have no idea how they serve so many customers with it, but they do it well! This place is a great spot to unwind after work or to go out for dinner, drinks and some live music. Sometimes I get coupons on their entrees and they have a first time check-in option on Unilocal with a 20% off of the pub fair. The food is not over-priced to begin with so these coupons are just an added bonus. All-in-all, this is one of my favorite spots to go to and they have gotten a good customer out of me!

Each time I go in the waitress or waiter is always very helpful and accommodating with my dairy and gluten allergies. Thanks for that! They have Tito’s vodka at the bar, which is gluten-free. Their steak fries are gluten-free, but I don’t think their other types of fries are. The curly fries look really good, but since they are not gluten-free I have never tried them. Last night I was not feeling well so my boyfriend offered to pick up dinner at this restaurant for us. I had been wanting another one of their Cobb salads for a couple weeks and decided to go with that order again last night. I called the order in and even had the lady read it back to me but I didn’t hear if she read back house salad or Cobb salad. I thought she said Cobb salad, but maybe she said house? When my boyfriend got home with the food he was pleased that there was no cheese or dressing on the salad, as I had specified, but he hadn’t noticed that the salad was not what I had ordered. He insisted on going back there, but I told him the salad looked okay and I would eat it. As I started eating it my allergies began to flareup(itchy eyes, runny nose, sneezing, itchy skin all over my body) so I did not finish the salad. I suspect that maybe there was gluten in the olives. Canned or jarred olives usually have gluten and I think I made a foolish move by trying a few in the salad. I did however, finish the steak fries. The fries my boyfriend got on his cheeseburger plate tasted fresher and more cooked. The side order of steak fries that we got tasted a bit raw, honestly. They looked like they were dark enough to have cooked long enough, but I think they could have been cooked longer none of them tasted like they had ever been crispy. They were soggy and luke warm, but the restaurant is ten minutes away from my place so I know the meal wasn’t going to taste as good at the restaurant. They were also bland and I ended up putting a very large amount of salt on them just to make them tasty to eat. So, overall, I really like this place when I go in to the restaurant, but I don’t think I will be wanting to order takeout again. I don’t think they’re set up for takeout because we didn’t get any napkins or a plastic fork for my salad. It’s ok though. I look forward to visiting soon so I can have another one of those Cobb salads like I really want now, lol! No more black olives for this girl! ;)
