Go for drinks but don’t eat here. The food quality is not great for dinner(maybe I should have gotten their all-day breakfast?). The staff are very friendly and efficient. The ambiance is fun and pub-like, but it’s basically a sticky pub-themed bar. Nothing super special that I experienced. They have live music on some evenings, and old guys play darts in the main room. The people watching is fa-ci-na-ting, and we sat by two 20-somethings reading from their journals and talking about their guy problems. I mean… can’t put a price on that! Oh… and parking is super problematic! No valet, no parking lot, just neighborhood and meter parking that are really hard to come by. Über there. Seriously. I warned you.

Solid English breakfast, but super loud inside at all different times I have visited. Better spot for a pint then a meal with the wife. Lot’s of football matches televised if you’re looking for that and a good dart scene too. For some reason they aren’t permitted to show UFC, even when it’s on free/cable TV?

Went Sunday night for their singer/songwriter series. The place has several areas to occupy. First made a stop at the bar. Bartender was pleasant and helpful. Was told the variety of ways to order food. Wandered over to the main performance area. Waitress stopped by, left a menu, and checked in a few times before I made my selections. A very courteous server. Impressions, establishment, staff, entertainment, all great. Drinks on tap, great. Food, ok. Shrimp appetizer was a bit on the undercooked side, quesadilla was very filling. Well worth returning to.

The Arsenal bar! Scotch egg, English fryer and the beer are all top shelf but your staff lack the passion to handle us the rowdy folk during 5am games. Just a little bit of a smile when you’re working will go a long way. At least you’re not a Spurs bar you would definitely be scowling.

I visited the Fox & Hounds on a Thursday night for a Meetup group. From 8PM onwards, parking is scarce and there’s a crowd of drunken regulars clogging the entrance. Even when you’re carrying three pints, don’t expect them to part for you. The atmosphere is very loud, to the point I had to pantomime my drink choice to the bartender. Many of the regulars are chummy with the staff, yelling across the bar as you attempt to order. Needless to say, it takes a while to get your order filled. As for the food, the fish & chips is dry and bland – unacceptable for a British pub. Their«Full Monty» English breakfast features sweet baked beans and tasteless, half-grilled beefsteak tomatoes. Quite a ridiculous price for a plate of fried garbage. On the plus side, their table service staff is very good. Our server handled a group of eight with comfort and friendliness, returning every 20 minutes to take new orders. While the experience was generally disappointing, at least my glass was full.

This place has a chill vibe. The ambience is nice, but the food is tasteless. I tried multiple things and was not impressed. Server was friendly. Street parking is metered.

Went on a Sunday and saw a great band and performance. Good selection of brews as well. Had a nice stout complement the performance and great company. Also near a bunch of great cantinas for dinner before.

Good brews, good food, and with that, bring good company. I’ve been coming by this spot off and on over the past few months, and have really grown fond the ambiance and consistency in quality of service and food & beverages. Notables: — Bangers. Get many, eat many. — Cornish Pastie; a well-made cornish pastie, just like good olé gran-mummeh use to make. Very tasty and worth checking out if you’ve never had one before. — Shepherd’s Pie; another tasty mention. — Personal Favorite: Bangers & Mash, or a Scramble. I’m a purest, I love my breakfast foods, and I love them done right. They do it right. Of course, accompany all dishes with a London Pride off the tap, and savor in the simplicity and delectability of the moment. The F&H is also a good spot to plop down and check out some sports games, and has a spacious bar area for getting a small group together.

Food was great, the only reason for the 3 stars. Even tho this place for service deserves –1. The waitress I had, short hair kind of curly was nice but was too busy taking shots w other tables and mingling and every time we needed something had to get up to ask her or we just sat there and kind of waited. I’ve been coming to fox and hounds for a while now and idk what changed but pls work on your service guys!

Where, in Los Angeles, can you find: 1. London Pride on tap(generally regarded by 99% of Brits as the best ale in the UK)? 2. Steak & Ale Pie(where the steak crumbles in your mouth soaked in delicious gravy)? 3. Four of the best singer-songwriters LA has to offer(play the most amazing acoustic sets)? 4. Get $ 10 reduced from the tab(just for using a new app)? 5. No cover charge? Songwriter Sunday, Fox & Hounds, Studio City. Phenomenal beer, OMG food and sensational performances in an intimate setting. The music host was terrific and did a great job with the gig bookings. The servers were all spot on. Music starts at 9pm. They were still playing when I left at midnight. I didn’t want to leave. This was something to write home about. A very special night. Top marks all round.

Depends on why you are coming here. Apparently They have trivia nights, which I have yet to attend, and special happy hours. I went here when there was a Doctor who happy hour. Service: A bit slow. It was pretty packed that night, so that may be why. However, waiting for a server for about 20 minutes seems a bit too much. Food: On the pricey side. I wouldn’t go here for a meal. Snacks and appetizers were fine. I would say drinks are decently priced here. I believe my shirley temple with vodka was around 6 dollars? Atmosphere: It was a very fun night, and I had a great time! Parking: They have a lot, but expect this to be full when you go. There are tons of parking on Ventura. If you choose to do this, park on the same side as the lounge. The crosswalks are pretty far. Be safe and don’t try to jaywalk! Cars drive pretty quickly there plus there’s a curve. Overall, I would go here when there is an event. Fun time and memorable!

I’ve only been here once but it won me over right off the bat. Where else can someone get up super early to watch premier league games in the San Fernando Valley aside from your own couch? Where else can you get as close as possible to the vibe of a place like Anfield, Stamford Bridge, or the Ethiad? I was told by one of the bartenders that they try to show any and all football(yes, NFL fans) games. I’ll take them up on that. I wonder if they’d show Serie A games too. Aside from that, the fish and chips were mighty decent and the people were a lot of fun. The bartenders were friendly, the atmosphere was quaint, devoid of trendiness, and is filled with love for anglophile culture and the beautiful game. I’d be a lot more poetic but sometimes brevity and straight-forward praise is more than enough. Thanks for the good time, Fox and Hounds!

This place is the tits. I love it here. I’ve been coming here pretty regularly for the past year, and even more so since I moved from Hollywood to Studio City. It’s a great pseudo Tudor revival building with a lot of seating and a patio, as well as parking. They have great live music on Friday and Saturday. Technically Sunday too, but it’s singer songwriter night and it’s generally caterwauling manic pixie dream girls with terrible bangs and tone deaf frat boys so that night is a hard pass for me. Marnie is the absolute best– she picks amazing music and is an excellent bartender. This is definitely the place to go if you’re a rock and roll fan that just wants that authentic pub feel. 95 percent of the time the music choice is on point, but the other 5 percent of the time for whatever reason, there’s a strange mix of hip hop and shitty dub step playing, which always feels comically out of place. If you want supermodels and EDM and bartenders with no personality, look elsewhere. Except for the aforementioned five percent of the time, in which case you’ll only get the EDM. All in all, this is one of my favorite places in LA. Even if they never have the spotted dick.

This is a great British pub to bring your friends or spouse. The music is good to listen to with the variety of tunes that are played by their live band. They played everything from 60s to 90s into the 2000s. The food is good and will keep you going through the live music with a good brew on hand they have on tap. Service is good as the staff will make sure your needs are met. Parking is on Ventura.

Cool spot to grab a late night drink. Came here with a friend after gorging ourselves on sushi at Sushi Dan across the street. Our distended bellies full of fish, sake and rice left us with little desire to walk much further than a couple hundred feet, and this place looks like a storied pub. We found it none too packed on a relatively slow Tuesday night. Drinks came quickly in the form of two old-fashioneds, which were perfectly made. I’ll admit I expected my drink to be good, not great, but the bartender here whipped these up, properly muddling the cherries and orange, doing such a fine job I’d have stayed for two more if I didn’t have an hour long drive back to Orange County in the near future.
