It seems that over the last 3 – 4 months we have been disappointed in the quality of the food more than we were satisfied. For example, there is a discrepancy on the number of sausage links you get on any given day. Sometimes its 3 — sometimes its 4. Make up your mind. If there is a problem that we bring to the staff attention (for example: missing an ordered item, item cooked incorrectly), it seems to be corrected begrudgingly). The oatmeal has been lukewarm the past three times. That is no longer one of my dining choices. Could it be that our business is taken for granted because we go there so often? I realize people have off days — but fix the problem when it occurs — don’t get upset with the customer — or go ahead — get upset — but fix the problem. The service is still good though.

What took me so long to get here? Nice, clean and comfortable place. My waitress was great (and hot, not that that matters, but still, ok?) Had a big ass breakfast and a double shot screwdriver and only came to 13 bucks. Granted, their top shelf is only Skyy, so that’s a bit disappointing, but I got over it. The best homefries I have ever had in my life. Not all soft and greasy like at so many places, these were big and crispy yet tender and still had a bit of grease like you need. Good stuff Maynard. Will be back for sure.

Executive Diner:
1) Great for breakfast or lunch
2) Has reasonable prices for adult beverages
3) Has a huge menu.
4) Has a patio
5) Is way better for food than Friendly’s ever was
a) Its where Friendly’s used to be near Douglas and Sylvania.
6) Has good staff
a) The cooks have a friendly and fun banter with each other, and the wait staff.
7) Kids meals are a good value and price, include drink for 3.99
8) If the parking lot is full, the restaurant probably is too.
I really like Executive Diner. Its the type of place we need more of. Only took off 1 star because there was a hair in one person’s omelet in my party. They did a rush order to replace, and only inconvenienced us a few minutes. They did a bang up job serving a party of 7 with 3 small kids. It is a bit of a squeeze with a group that large but its a great diner. If you have to wait a few minutes for a table, its worth it. They are super fast with service, and turn them over pretty quick.

Sunday morning breakfast with the family was fantastic! Very friendly staff, with excellent service. Food was delivered quickly. All meals were large portioned, tasted great and were priced very reasonably. Will definitely be back if we’re in the area again.

The food was very good and the portion size was generous for the price. The staff were nice but our mugs were dirty, so we had to ask for replacements. That was a little disconcerting right at the beginning of our meal. I highly recommend the chicken cordon bleu omelette.

This place is open for breakfast and lunch but you can order a Beer, screwdriver, or bloody marry. The menu is huge with almost every single item that you can imagine. Executive diner has a very friendly staff and a manager that makes everyone feel welcome.
If you’re having a bachelor party and the next morning you’re planning a place to have breakfast it should serve Bloody Marys. Also at Executive you can eat outside. As a guy with a big appetite I appreciate the fact that all the portions and meals have been feeling. Good food, food staff, and good drinks. The best part is the open kitchen attmosphere similar to Waffle House but with friendly cooks.

The worst thing about this visit was my indecision on what to order as everything coming out of the kitchen made me drool. I settled on the divorced eggs and kept spooning it onto my boyfriend’s plate so he could experience the greatness as well. It seems the perfect spot to chat the afternoon away with black coffee and top notch breakfast. Next time, maybe I’ll wait around until I’m hungry enough to have a bloody mary for lunch.

Menu says pancakes are served with butter. Plate came with some sort of disgusting butter flavored shit. I asked if I could have real butter (as menu claims that os what you get when you order this)…amd I got butter. Does any restaurant ever serve actual maple syrup or is it always some fake flavored syrup? Veggie skillet came with onion and green peppers as the only vegetable. And tomato and mushrooms if you wanna claim those are veggies. Not what I was expecting. Other food is great. My favorite is divorced eggs.

Very good options on what you can get to eat! The wait staff is pretty small so you may have to wait once and awhile. They do make up for it in friendliness. Prices are pretty average for a diner. Depending on what you get some portions seem small while others seems out of this world.

My favorite diner in Toledo, hands down. I only wish i were open for dinner!
The breakfast is superb, and you can’t go wrong with any of the Mexican egg dishes. Food comes out fast and portions are huge. Plenty to choose from in their lunch menu as well.
The staff are very polite as well, and I never have to wait long for a table.

Excellent breakfast menu — loads of interesting things to choose from. I ordered the Mexican omelette with chorizo, and it was as good as it gets. It arrived with a dollop of sour cream on a topping of piquant salsa verde… delicious!
The home fries were awesome. I’m not sure what seasoning was used on them, but they were excellent! — not greasy at all like you might find at other diners.
My coffee cup was kept full, and the waitress was very cool and friendly — the service was fantastic!
This has got to be one of, if not the best breakfast/​lunch diners in the Toledo area.
Even though the restaurant occupies an old Friendly’s, you wouldn’t know it. The inside has been completely redone and it looks great.
I’m looking forward to my next visit so I can try another one of their delicious omelettes.

Great food? Check.
Super fast service? Check.

Sassy-​ass waitresses? Check!
Although ED has all the standard breakfast items, the unique things on this menu are the Mexican breakfast selections. I’ve tried most of these and they are exceptional. The «divorced eggs,» with their homemade verde and red sauces, are really fantastic. The Greek omelet was not THE best in the city, but it certainly didn’t come out «in a puddle of water,» either. The waffle? Meh.
Want an (nice) added bonus? They have alcohol. There’s nothing like a Bloody Mary, an Irish coffee, or even a screwdriver to cap off a great weekend brunch!
The service was great and incredibly fast.
I/​we will definitely be back.
