This place has gone downhill fast! I loved going here and now I’d rather just get fast food. Last time I went there I went for the philly and barely had any meat on it and the quality has gone down. When I asked about it the staff(usually very awesome) just snapped at me that yes they did cut the meat portion. So sad to see a local business go down like this.

Tacos are average, but did not like putting buffalo sauce for taco sauce on my tacos. The ice cream is too expensive for the quality.

They say that«divey» places are the best and I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised when I visited. The place was packed so that’s a good sign. If you’re on a budget then this is the place to come. For 2 people we paid less than $ 20 and had a pretty decent meal. I opted for the Taco Burger lunch special. It’s basically a taco on a yummy hamburger roll and it comes with a drink for a little over $ 5. Not sure what kind of rolls that they use but they are nice and soft. The meat was seasoned ok. It could have used more seasoning but after I added their really tasty hot sauce it was perfect. The lettuce, tomato and cheese were all fresh. I got a side of sour cream but I really didn’t need it. Drinks are unlimited refills. You can either dine inside or outside. The staff is really helpful and friendly. Can’t wait to try the pulled pork that everyone has been talking about. They apparently have an issue keeping it in stock.

We stopped to get some food to take with us to the Playalinda Brewery. We are new to the area and a neighbor told us they have really good burgers. Our neighbor was not wrong! The burger was excellent and a lot bigger than we expected. You can get it on a regular or a pretzel bun. We got one of each. The burgers were big enough that we could have split one and it would have been enough for us. We got one with a side of tater tots and a drink. They come loaded with lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo/sauce. The next time we are in the mood for a burger we will definitely come back here!

It is what it is! It’s a good a hack with awesome food. Highly recommended the pork tenderloin sandwich. The bun is huge and the tenderloin still is double the size of it! Talk about bang for your buck. They make amazeball shoestring onion rings that I’m addicted too as well. My only qualm is that I’ve been here almost 5 times over the past three weeks and the cooks haven’t ordered any pulled pork for their pulled pork burgers. I really want to try one and hope they order it soon!

Very good service. The food was below average, the ground beef reminded us of Taco Bell. The chicken tenders were stringy, my son was not a fan. Will not be going back.

This place has the best shrimp tacos! I’ve gotten them multiple times and never been disappointed. My boyfriend gets the burger and loves it. The people working there have always been nice and helpful with my order.

Worth the drive from 95. I will always stop here for a fish taco if I am going north or south on I-95. It is simply the best taco I have ever had. It is about 5 miles off the highway but oh so worth it. There are loads of other great things on the menu like fried mushrooms, barbeque plus other types of tacos. If you get the burger get the pretzel bun but don’t get the burger, get the fish tacos. The place is rustic with limited indoor seating. Skip the fast food and eat here.

There’s one thing and ONLY one thing to get here — SHRIMPTACOS. Every single time they knock ‘em out of the park. Sweet, perfectly fried shrimp in a honey-mustard-ish sauce… simple but exquisite. I’ve tried their other tacos, and they’re ok… but the shrimp is the money taco here. Get at least one to try — you won’t regret it.

Since my last review, Quillen’s has gotten back to the basics. Ate here on Sunday, and this is the place I remember when they first opened. Hard-shells are once again fried, giving a nice texture to your taco. Definitely recommend the Baja chicken taco as well. Want to give the pulled pork taco a go next time around. Lots of items on the menu, but if you like tacos, this is easily the best place to go within a 25-mile radius. Highly recommend!

My sister lives in town here, i come down once a year. Last time I was in town my brother-in-law and I ate here 3 times. There is no better taco for a better price in the entire Southeast. The shrimp tacos which are a new-ish addition to the menu I think, are divine. The fried pickles were also awesome and of course… tots tots tots!

The onion rings are super crispy and not over battered. Smoked chicken perfects their oversized chick burritos perfectly. Super fast and so much food for the money … A can’t miss stop on the way back from the beach!

Its called a taco shack but they have the bet bbq I’ve seen in brevard county. Maybe not the best I’ve had, but definitely the best I’ve had since leaving Alabama. Pulled pork is stellar. Chicken just ok. Don’t believe that the wings are«best in town». Pretty average actually. But that pork… delicious. Can’t comment on tacos. Side items leave a little to be desired. Onion rings are thin and bready but tasty. Slaw is decent. Lots of fried but no greens. It’s a dive but pretty laid back atomosphere with decent vibe. I’ve returned a few times

The food isn’t horrible… but isn’t anything to brag about either. I still go on occasion considering the limited choices in town. Definitely worth trying out though.

Oddly, the best thing at this taco shack… was the BBQ! The fish taco was served good and hot, but lacking in flavor(I think the batter needed more seasoning). The onion rings were good, skinny and plentiful, if a little greasy. The the pulled pork sandwich on griddled texas toast was the star, and super tasty! We also got the«funnel cake,» which wasn’t as you would expect, as it was more dropped pieces fried together than a skinnier funnel entanglement, but it was pretty good.

Really wanted to like this place, had a funky vibe and nice kids behind the counter. However, I made the classic mistake and ordered BarBQ at a Taco joint. The combo was supposed to be chicken, ribs, and pulled pork. The chicken was dry and only slightly above room temp. The ribs were so tough they could not be cut apart with the cheesy plastic knives provided, almost impossible to eat. The pulled pork never came. High points? Onion rings were good. The tacos may be good, but don’t bother with the BarBQ.

I’ve driven by this place hundreds of times and finally had the chance to test it out with my brother a couple of weeks ago. If I’m being honest here, I have to lay it out that I was recovering from my bachelorette party the night before and needed something greasy to calm my queasy hung over stomach. He suggested the«big taco» from Quillen’s and my mouth salivated over it. Would my opinion of the taco be different if I wasn’t hung over? Probably, so take this review with knowledge in hand. First of all, there isn’t much to be said for the service. Our«big taco» took about 15 minutes to make and we saw a few other folks who came in after us, get their food well after us. However, you can’t beat the price. $ 5.95 for a taco big enough to feed two people– that’s not bad at all. The taco that arrived was HUGE. I believe it was 12in in length. It was a bit messy to divide, but we were able to split it in half so we could share. The chicken used for the taco was a BBQ chicken and we asked for lettuce, onion, tomato, cheese, and olives for our topping. To this hung over girl, the taco was delicious. It was just the right amount of grease needed to calm my stomach and I felt a million times better after eating it. It was just what the doctor ordered.

I ordered the Big Taco Supreme meal. For almost 6 bucks, I thought I was going to get a plate with a few tacos on it. Instead, I was given literally one Big Taco in a gigantic hard shell so ridiculously enormous that I wasn’t sure how to approach eating it. Ordinarily, a gargantuan portion is something to be appreciated and even revered. Here at Quillen’s Taco Shack, it’s something to be avoided… and feared. My food took about 20 minutes. There was no one else(aside from the owner who was already eating) in the restaurant, so I felt that was a long time for a taco. When the taco finally came, the beef was insanely salty and lacked the proper seasoning taco beef should have. Something was really off with the flavor… I couldn’t put my finger on it, but I could tell by the texture alone that the meat was extremely low-grade. The chopped tomatoes weren’t even remotely fresh. They had that watery, mushy consistency that comes from being prepped a few days ago. Same deal with the shredded lettuce. The worst part: they were really, really skimpy with the cheese and sour cream. Come on, dudes! This one taco cost six bucks. can I have more than a thimble of cheese and a teaspoon of sour cream please? I was basically given a quarter pound of salty ground beef wrapped in a fried tortilla, sprinkled with half-rotten vegetables. Nasty stuff. It’s no wonder that I felt a little sick after eating here. Not sure if it was the grease, the copious amounts of salt, or the memory of those two horrible elements joining forces in my mouth, but I came close to blowing chunks on the scenic drive through Canaveral National Seashore. The restaurant also appears dirty and unkempt, so the kitchen’s cleanliness is certainly suspect. BOTTOMLINE: You’re more likely to find better food by throwing a dart at a map of the local restaurants while blindfolded. I think you catch my drift. Stay away.
