Went here for lunch with my wife and her dad. We haven’t been here in like 10 years so it’s like a new experience. The décor is really nice(don’t recall it being this nice with a Key West feel to it). You walk over a bridge where you can feed the fish below(free fish food inside). Yay! They do cater to tourists, so food prices were a bit high. We got the two dozen red shrimp, shrimp burger and the soup of the day and spent about $ 60 without ordering any specialty drinks. Food was overall pretty good. The shrimp burger wasn’t as flavorful as we’d hope and we wished we got the wasabi aioli on the side as it was way too strong. The shrimp we got 1 dozen broiled with Key West seasoning and 1 dozen fried. Both were very good. The shrimp were on the small side, but they tasted fresh and were cooked well. They also have their house habanero sauce so that was a plus. Also the complimentary corn fritters were a nice bonus. So to summarize… good food, good atmosphere, solid service, price a bit high. We will be back when in the area.

This is my favorite seafood spot! Wish it was in Orlando but I live so far out west it’s only about a 35 min drive to Titusville. We make the drive at least once a month. You get so much fresh, quality seafood. The Rock shrimp are ridiculously good. I highly recommend the spectacular to any seafood lover you get lobster, Rock shrimp and bay scallops plus 2 sides, I recommend the clam chowder and Caesar salad. The best part is that you are greeted with corn fritters! Which are so delicious and sprinkled with powdered sugar. The vibe is laid back so you can dress as you please and the staff is very friendly. The prices are very reasonable and food quality as I have experienced it is fantastic! When people come from out of town I like to bring them here and they love it! :)

Ok. So I get the hype for the tourist coming to town but if you are looking for good seafood you may want to steer clear. Honestly its not worth it. The best things are the drinks and the yummy corn fritters that they give you in the beginning. I decided to order the Mahi basket grilled and blackened and chose green beans and carrots for my side. Once my dish arrived I was a little disappointed to see a small piece of fish that appeared to be cooked properly. The veggies pretty much looked like bagged vegetables with nothing. No seasoning, butter, garnish… nothing. Fish is supposed to be flaky and moist when you cook it. This was far from that. I struggled cutting it not only with my fork but with my knife. It was like a big piece of rubber. If it wouldn’t have been for the blackened seasoning and the lemon wedge, this would have been the most tasteless meal. The green beans and carrots needed something to liven them up. Even just plain salt didn’t help. The green beans were almost chewy. No thank you! The atmosphere is nice. They do get pretty busy on the weekends and wait times can sometimes be over an hour. There is a enclosed gazebo bar where its first come first serve seating if you’re ok with not sitting in the main restaurant. My server was awesome and friendly.

I recently ate at Dixie Crossroads. I really enjoyed my experience. The restaurant is large and has a kinda quirky feel to it. I ordered the Cape Canaveral special and it did not disappoint. They claim that all the seafood is wild caught, and I believe them. The taste and texture of the shrimp, scallops, and lobster was great. Very sweet and a beautiful tender feel. I give it a thumbs up.

For a place as expensive and well publicized as Dixie Crossroads I expected it to be a whole ton better than it was. I liked the little elephant ear bites we got as an appetizer but the shrimp I got that the waitress exclaimed was the reason everyone came there were small and not that great. It really doesn’t live up to the hype, or the price. Do yourself a favor and pass, there is plenty of better places in Titusville.

Maybe it’s been around for a while and used to be great but this is a family style fish camp that isn’t trying very hard these days. Cold beers and unflattered fish. Probably best to stick with the fried stuff? The grilled and blackened is cooked to death. Baked potato with county crock spread, brownie with ice cream is a little corporate. Lots of plastic cups and plates. My recommendation is simply move on. I’m all for a great divey fish place but this ain’t it.

The prices were reasonable. The place was packed.35 minutes wait and had them in and out nonstop. I had the fried oysters. Lightly breaded and not overcooked. The seafood soup was spicy and plentiful. The fritters had 1 kernel of corn. Didn’t like any of the small dessert selections. Loved our waitress Rose. Would go back.

Five star for price and location. Although the décor is rustic family it was very clean and welcoming. The food was excellent. Very fresh and everything is made in house. Our server recommended the Red Royal shrimp a local variety of shrimp with a limited season. The texture was very buttery with a nice flavour profile. Chowder(NE) was full of flavour. Maine lobster was very well cooked and prepped at a very reasonable price. I could have eaten the icing sugar dusted corn fritters they serve as a free appetizer all night long. I would correlate the restaurant to that of a Red Lobster as far as type of food but with way better quality, flavour, serving staff that care, need I say more. Fresh food, with a large assortment of locally caught seafood. I would definitely recommend for a casual and very tasty meal.

We came here after listening to several of our friends rave about it. I LOVE seafood and I live in the Midwest and although we can get fresh seafood, it’s nice to have such easy access to it here in Florida. Anyway, this is a cool venue in Titusville that serves a lot of fried seafood but also cooked in other styles plus fresh oysters on the half shell. On this trip, I had the rock shrimp and mahi mahi. Delicious and fresh. Served with fries and cole slaw. I love seafood served like that. The little powdered sugar«hush puppies» are kind of cool too. One of my dining companions had fried oysters that were superb. My brother had a huge crab cake sandwich that he said was divoon. I like the atmosphere and the folksy-homey way it feels. Everyone was really nice and attentive and we didn’t have to wait long to be served. I would definitely come back.

Shrimp Cajun soup was awesome! I would highly recommend this place. The wait can be long(2hr) for dinner. The place is family owed by residents dating back many generations. Place was established 40 years ago.

I’ve been coming here for about 30 years and I always come here when I’m in the area. When you’re seated they bring out delicious fritters covered in powdered sugar. Dessert as an appetizer. They do a good clam chowder to start with. I’ve had a good selection of the menu and I’ve always been happy. You can’t go wrong with the crab cakes, rock shrimp and pretty much everything else. For it being a seafood restaurant and the portions, I would say that the prices are average or lower than average. The service has normally been above average.

Road tripping from Miami and this is stop number one. The surroundings are blah but the restaurant itself is cute, including the fish pond outside that they provide free fish food for. Great menu with lots of food and drink specialities. And the kids menu is a huge bargain — drink, fries, entrée and pudding die $ 2.99. $ 2.99!!! I wanted to order the crab cake basket but they were out of crab cakes(hence four stars instead of five. Crab cakes are a fish house staple!). I got the mahi basket instead. You can choose grilled, baked or steamed and from seasonings including old bay, key west, Cajun and a couple others. I did grilled Cajun and it was perfect. Still moist and just a hint of heat. You get one side with it and they have the basics — fries, sweet potatoes, rice, veggies. They also have cheese grits and soup of day. They have big tables that are good for groups but expect a wait if you go on weekend nights.

Stopped here on the recommendation of AAA. We were very disappointed. This is the typical tourist trap with mediocre food and a bus tour cliental. In fact the day we were here, two tour buses had stopped with their passengers. I had the 12 rock shrimp which were small, tasty, broiled, and tender but not much food for the price. My husband had the crab cake which was good but also overpriced for the size. The corn fritters were a disappointment with very little flavor and the cheese grits were too watery. Would I stop here again? I doubt it!

My husband and I won a trip to the Space Coast of Florida and included was a meal at Dixie Crossroads. We spent the day fishing then went to the Kennedy Space Center and finished it off with a trip to this Florida favorite. We sat in the air conditioned gazebo and were warmly welcomed by Mandy. Immediately we were brought some corn fritters which were delish. We heard about the rock shrimp so we ordered a half dozen with fries and slaw to split, and although the portion was enough for us — we could’ve eaten way more rock shrimp, they are better than lobster in our opinion. We had a couple glasses of wine, dessert, and coffees and still didn’t spend more than $ 40. It was a really great way to top off a special trip to Florida’s Space Coast!

Love this place when I’m on the Space Coast! The cheese grits are amazing, and all of the shrimp are incredible(of course I like mine fried). Tonight, they had the Gators game on in the gazebo, with $ 3 margaritas, so we sat in there. Both servers worked all the tables so we never needed a thing. We tried the *new* fried cheese curds & I loved them! Hubs really liked the corn fritters & fried oysters.

We’ve been going to Dixie Crossroads for years now. Once, we drove from Tampa just for a late lunch and then drove home! Yes, it was worth it. If you’ve never been, you have to make an effort to get here. It’s almost as iconic as Ron Jon’s or any other destination on the east coast of FL. Beware: this place gets wicked busy during peak dinner times and the wait can be over one hour. We always order the same thing, so I can’t speak to the entire menu. By now, you’ve read about the delicious warm corn fritters with powdered sugar. I could probably live off of them. Ya gotta have the Rock Shrimp. It’s their signature dish and what made them famous. I order mine broiled. They are served butterflied with a wedge of lemon and melted butter. The shells are still on and if you have fat fingers, it will take some maneuvering to get them off, but your tenacity will be rewarded. The shrimp are small, so be sure to order a large quantity. You normally get two sides and they are all regular fare. I ordered the steamed veggies today and was pleasantly surprised. They weren’t overcooked and had roasted garlic sprinkled on top, which gave it a very nice flavor. We’ll come back soon. We always do.

Dixie Crossroads was one of my favorite restaurants that the family and I went to during our vacation. We thought it was so good, that we went there twice during our vacation. I never would have found this place without the help of my fellow Unilocalers. Thank you! They are located along Garden Street in Titusville, You know you have arrived when you see the Rock Shrimp statues outside their restaurant. I almost thought I was going to see Forrest Gump outside, but, that is another story, and another restaurant. We quickly found a parking space and checked in with the restaurant. They had a lot going on, so waiting was not a problem. They had a pond outside with fish and turtles. They had food(free) for you to feed the fish with. My daughter had fun feeding their fish. They also had Shrimp statues that were great for taking«touristy» photos. They had so much to do outside that I almost complained that we didn’t wait long enough. They start off meals with Corn Fritters. Fried round fritters topped with powdered sugar. Some call these things beignets. I liked them better than beignets. The Corn Fritters were absolutely delicious. Yes, they did have corn in the fritters. They were so good, I almost ate too many of these and didn’t have any room in my stomach for anything else. The Corn Fritters are a great dessert too! Both times we went, we ordered their Cape Canaveral Special consisting of Gulf shrimp, rock shrimp, scallops with a lobster thrown in. You can get them broiled, fried or steamed. We chose broiled. Our waitress the first time there told us that it was their best deal and that it was enough food to split between to people. They had a great Children’s menu. Only $ 2.99 with a choice of hamburger, chicken tenders, fried clam strips or fish and includes a beverage and chocolate pudding. One of the best Children’s and cheapest Children’s menu in America! They did a fantastic job in cooking their seafood both times we went there. The seafood was fresh. The shrimp, scallops and lobster were perfectly cooked. The daughter tried their fish. But, the picky little eater didn’t like her meal and ate our food instead. She normally doesn’t eat shrimp, but, she devoured their rock shrimp after dousing the rock shrimp in butter and lemon. The waiter and waitress gave us plenty of lemons and butter because of her. Her meal(fish) was good. I don’t know why she didn’t eat it. Their Cape Canaveral Special is not only good, but, has enough food for 2 ½ people. Service was good both times we went there. The waiters and waitresses were prompt. They kept our glasses filled and cleared our table. They were very friendly. The Dixie Crossroad is a great place for seafood. Our family liked it. They almost seem like they should be in Orlando instead of Titusville. It’s a great family friendly place. I wish they were in California!

Not sure what hasn’t already been said about this place but I’m a Florida native who is very picky about seafood and this is one the best I’ve ever visited. It’s not one of those«ambiance» places and is a real Florida/southern seafood restaurant. You can’t usually trust highway billboards but they’re not lying here. There was a bit of a wait but you can feed the fish out front for free, looks like most take advantage since the fish didn’t seem too interested in my fish food. As for the food, everything was excellent and the portions are very large. The corn fritters with lots of powdered sugar are free, very addictive, and if you aren’t careful you’ll fill up on those before you even get your meal. I had the fried shrimp and blackened talipia combo. The fried shrimp was some of the best anywhere as it was lightly battered, not greasy, and had an almost sweet taste. The talipia was excellent as well. One interesting side was the shrimp soup, it’s almost like a vegetable soup but with shrimp and and a seafood broth base. I’ve never seen anything like this and it’s a must try for seafood fans. Finally, the key lime pie was legit Florida authentic. It had that proper sweet/tart taste you need along with a graham cracker crust. We split a piece just to try it. If you enjoy seafood this place is a must try in the area, I’ll be back here for sure.
