Agreed with the other reviews about the lady who works here.. I asked for two turtles since I wanted to split one with my friend, and bring one home to my boyfriend, and instead she cut one into two and would only give me that. $ 12 for one turtle and one truffle… pass

I was excited — I love the little chocolate shops all over the bay area with great chocolates. This is not one of them. They have a lot of regular old drug store candy and then they have a case of chocolates but they are not homemade. We asked about one and hydrogenated oil was the first ingredient.

Walked in… kind of excited. A candy store. Whoever this lady is who works here was SOOOO rude and cold to me. I was taken aback. She deserves less than 0 stars. I walked in excited and ready to buy ice cream and bring home a lot of fudge. I immediately walked out… and won’t be back again. EVER.

Deserves less than zero stars. Went to get ice cream and got an icy greeting as the cranky woman was helping someone else — «I see you» was all she said(whatever happened to «Hello» or «I’ll be right with you»?). Although showing signage accepting credit cards, after she scooped my cone and I handed her my card, she proclaimed that there’s a $ 5 minimum purchase. First of all, minimum purchase requirements on credit cards are not legal so I will report her to Visa/MC. But, maybe even worse than that was after I told her I don’t carry cash, she simply shrugged and THREWTHEWHOLECONEINTHETRASH!!! With this attitude, I thought I was at the DMV for a minute, but I was in a candy and ice cream shop! You are supposed the leave there happy! I went to get a martini instead, will never return, and will recommend against it to all I know.

What an adorable store in the«heart» of tiny Tiburon! I went to dinner next door on Saturday night and had to stop in here to grab some sweet treats. They have the usual candy fare(jelly belly, etc.) but then have some nostalgic choices as well. The staff is always friendly and able to answer questions. I won’t even discuss price because the ambience of the store makes me forget anything but the(pardon the pun) eye candy that attracts me. Definitely stop in here when you’re in Tiburon and satisfy your sweet tooth!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Terrible customer service without a care to be offensive and dismissive of the customer. Came in with my two kids for ice cream. Sign clearly says 2 scoops for $ 3.50. Asked for a scoop of vanilla and a scoop of chocolate and because the old lady behind the counter put in two cups, she charged $ 3 for each. Never even bothered to tell us that we should just do one cup. Even charged me $ 0.25 for a cone, even though a regular two scoop comes with a cone. The old lady had zero interest in being friendly or considerate. I think her name was Rita. I was so turned off my this service, and I frankly don’t care about the money, that I went back in to ask someone else about the charges. Some young girl essentially had no interest in being helpful. Just told me that she does make the rules, so tough luck. No interest in making it right or fixing the situation. Plenty of other places to go with better service and far better prices. Stay away if you can!

There is a special place in my heart for fudge. It is tied up in my childhood and extremely difficult for me to say no to fudge. So when we walked into this adorable old fashioned store, I bypassed the ice cream and stared longingly at the fudge. I pulled myself away to admire the other handmade chocolate confectionaries, specialty candy items and Jelly Bean and M&M stations. You can customize your bag with your favorite jellybean flavors and choose your favorite M&M colors. But of course I went back to the fudge. We got two total squares(you can buy half squares). ½ a square of mint fudge, ½ a square of peanut butter fudge and 1 square of regular fudge. They are all so indulgent: creamy, rich and perfectly sweet. The mint tasted like an andes mint but so much better. The total for two squares came to $ 9.41 which was quite pricey but the fudge was of high quality.

Another childhood favorite of Main Street. Huge selection of candy and I can never resist a scoop of ice cream on warmer days.

Great little old fashioned candy store located on the harbor near the ferry terminal. The girl behind the counter was really sweet and helpful. Wide variety of sweets from bulk gummies and jelly beans to novelty pre-packaged items to refrigerated cases of fancy chocolates. Price was moderate. I would skip the ice cream here and pop next door for gelato instead. :)

Huge selection of candy and great fudge, but very expensive. Also the people aren’t very nice.

Ice Cream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! We stopped for a scoop each in this cute little candy shop on Main Street after dinner. I ordered the Rocky Road and my guy ordered the Mocha Chip. They serve Dryers. I also stocked up on some jelly belly beans because they have many different flavors. I pick all my favorites and share them with my sweetheart on the way back home.

I was a bit bummed that all they had was Dreyer’s ice cream. :) oh well I found some bubble gum. Really like that they have a good selection of sugar-free, would be a bummer to be diabetic but awesome that they could be included in the fun here. I went with my little cousin, he had a rocky road ice cream, and the person behind the counter gave us a cup – which was really helpful

Love this place. The asian lady makes the fudge from scratch and it is delicious. Small place but has variations of sweets — bulk candy, old school stuff, fancy european chocolate, truffles, ice cream, fudge… so good. SO good. Super reasonably priced.

Cute little spot perfectly situated for a gluttonous grab and go treat. The prices are ok, but the quality of product is hit and miss. I can’t be sure, but I am pretty positive they don’t rotate stock, *at all*. The zotz were ancient and basically melted goo, other candies were«gamey» and tasted old. like gummy that sort of dissapated into granular sugar, etc. So it’s going to be hit and miss. The chocolate counter has some awesome stuff(DARKCHOCOLATEHONEYCOMB!) and the ice cream is okay, if you like Dreyers. I end up here during a vigorous constitiional, from time to time, and happily destroy the intent of my walk with a tasty treat. They have all the classics — ring pops, lik-a-made, and more… enjoy responsibly. =)

After filling our bellies at a delish brunch, the sign for The Candy Store’s fudge was too powerful & we had to go in Chose the Chocolate Salted Caramel & also the Milk Chocolate Walnut The Choc Caramel was over-the-top delish! Soft & extremely chocolaty w/a nice chew from the caramel. We immediately wished we had purchased their entire supply of this! The Choc Walnut was only okay — the choc was kind of on the light side & we were hoping for something bolder — stick w/the choc-caramel! And while we were there, we couldn’t leave w/out trying a few offerings from their candy cases PB Caramel Cup — this was phenomenal. The milk choc paired perfectly w/the creamy sweet PB& the caramel layer was thin but provided that extra bit of chewiness Milk Chocolate Pecan Turtles — okay but not what I expected. Usually turtles have a gooey, chewy caramel but this 1 was more like a praline. The caramel was soft but there were no sugary pulls or chewiness. I liked the abundance of teeny baby pecan halves — while the nuts weren’t crunchy, I liked the added a extra layer of buttery chew… might get this again but probably not Dark Chocolate Honeycomb — the choc layer completely overpowered the honeycomb — while I saw the crumbly honeycomb in there, I didn’t taste it at all As the lady helping us this day was bagging up our items, she made the comment: «this sure will hold you over for a while»…she may have been shocked by the vast amounts of sugar we just purchased but she doesn’t know my sweet tooth :-) But unfortunately after our vast sampling, looks like the chocolate-salted-caramel fudge & the PB cup were the only winners… but I’d totally come back just for these!

If possible, I would give a negative rating. I thought about not posting a review, but really, after a couple of weeks of pondering, I felt I must. The owners are rude, condescending, and from what I have heard from other patrons, prejudicial… RACIST. I can’t comment on the racist thing, but I did notice the owner(the female half) as being rude not just to me, but to other Asian customers. I was at this location and asked about their Chocolate covered caramel Turtle candies and the nuts in them. I wanted to know when the Turtles were made as I like the nuts to be crunch, and if they are somewhat a little older and sitting in a refrigerated case, then they get a bit soggy and lose the crunchiness. I have all right to ask, and when the owner evaded my question of when they were made, I politely asked again. She rolled her eyes and said that she doesn’t make them but gets them in and that they shouldn’t be «more than a couple of days old» and I am okay with that, but I then asked, how long? Like 2 – 3 days or 4 – 5 days? I explained that I am particular and only would enjoy with crunchy nuts. She gave a dirty look, dropped the Turtle in the bag, and asked how many I wanted. I ordered two after she told me they were just put out 2 days prior, and I was cool with that. I apologized for the inconvenience if she was questioning if I thought they are good or not, but I emphasized that I would only enjoy with the nuts being crunchy. She rolled her eyes again, and I apologised again and thanked her for ringing me up. They were not cheap, and I bought other things, but as she handed me the goods, she rudely turned away and already asked the next person if they needed help. I looked at her and said«thank you» and she just looked at me. So I said in a louder voice, «THANKYOU» so that she could hear me, and she just said something like«good-bye» or «bye» but NOTHING to thank me for being a patron(or now a FORMER patron) of her store. I stood outside and looked in for awhile and noticed inside, even though there was a queue inside, she helped the non-Asian people first. That’s weird since we were buying all the expensive stuff and the non-Asians were buying piece-meal and cheaper candies. I’m just saying that she was off her rocker. About the RACIST thing, well, people who have been there, who live in the area, and who know her, will tell you that she and her husband probably haven’t made some people with their snooty and prejudicial and possibly racist comments. If you ask me, I would NOTGIVETHEMANYBUSINESS. NEGATIVESTARRATING. Note to the owners: You know who I am and it’s so sad that you had to be so rude and treat me with disrespect. Tiburon is a small community and though you may not make me feel welcome there, people will now know how you are disgusting you have treated customers. If you want BETTER desserts, candies, fudge, and ice cream, come to TUCKER’S in ALAMEDA. The people are nicer, and the products are home made and better. Not like this shop in Tiburon who«doesn’t make them» and orders them. What a joke this place in Tiburon. Tucker’s in Alameda rocks.

**3.5STARS** Went here with the S.O. … I was just going to window shop since I knew it was a over priced but he ended up asking me what my fam liked and it was just a different story after that. They have old school chocolates… it was pretty cool. A cool spot to check out but just be careful … not so friendly prices.

When I first saw this store on Unilocal,I thought: I have to try it. Local candy store with old school appeal? How could I NOT love it, right? Wrong. Three teenage(or college?) girls worked the counter but looked like they really didn’t want to be there. The store, though clean, didn’t have anything special aside from high prices. Their truffles are… Well, they’re smooth. Their champagne truffles($ 2) were just average, if not a little below average, and I felt like I had just eaten a Hersey’s kiss. :( Luckily they’re located on, well what do you know, Main street, where young and old will gather to support this little shop. I don’t plan on coming back anytime soon, but if I do, I’ll know to stick to ice cream(they serve Dreyers) on a hot summer day. I don’t think anything can mess that up.

I hate you Candy Store. What is wrong with you? All your yummy goodness gushing out. Your chocolate truffles, jelly belly candy bins and old school candies tempted me into buying almost 1 pound of candy for myself. My butt also hates you. Cash only. Charge for ATM/CREDIT.

I’ll take you to the candy shop I’ll let you lick the lollipop Go ‘head girl, don’t you stop Keep going ’til you hit the spot(woah) Ah, there’s nothing like a rousing(…or arousing) selection from the Fiddy-Cent hymnal to get you in the spirit of devouring chocolates as you wait for the much-delayed ferry back to Fishermans’ Wharf. It’s a standard-issue sweets shop offering retro-candies, Jelly Bellies, and even sugar-free concoctions for the self-delusional figure-conscious. There is some Dreyer’s ice cream if you really need a coneful, although there was a bit of freezer burn on some of the tubs I saw. It definitely has the faux-charm of a Disneyland merchandise store, which seems appropriate since this part of Tiburon doesn’t appear based on reality anyway. Jamie W. got his double-scoop cone, so he was happy in preparation for our voyage on the bay’s choppy waters. The server also deserves a medal for tolerating the armies of cross-bay city dwellers who allowed their bratty kids to roam free in the store and cause havoc with anything that could be chewed on… sourballs, licorice whips, light fixtures. I’ll take you to the candy shop Boy one taste of what I got I’ll have you spending all you got Keep going ’til you hit the spot(woah)
