LA West Elite Event at Urban Pizza

Gee — this was such a pleasant experience for our first Elite event attended! The arrangements were well organized and the unexpected Unilocal liquor flask! Wow! My little girl swiped mine — not knowing it should have liquor in it! (chuckles) It was super nice to meet a few Unilocal Elite at our table too — super nice folks, Gloria and her friend from Vegas! :-) Thank You Unilocal Elite staff (Brittany & Chelsea) for your unsung efforts in organizing and managing the event!
As for Urban Pizza — I was seriously impressed with their performance. My spouse and I really enjoyed most of the fare offered — (the salad was average and one of the pizzas came out a shade dry) — otherwise several of the pizzas were judged to be seriously nice! So nice in fact that we returned the very next day for dinner! The staff recognized us from the night before and we chatted a bit… with my kids attending this 2^nd visit. We got 3 pizzas and drinks — and the kids loved the gelato soft serve! Smiles all around!
We’ll be going back regularly it seems — especially since we live in Westlake Village so the drive is short!

I always saw this place often because my hair stylist is right across from urban pizza and I wanted to try it.
OMG! This place is delicious! Me and my GF really had a good time and LOVE the food, this pizza place is like pizza rev and pieology only Urban Pizza is WAY! Better, the ingredients are very very fresh, instead of having everyone at the event order individual pizza’s they made every pizza they have on the menu for us to try, they even have a pulled pork pizza, very delicious, it’s hard for me to say which pizza they made is my favorite because they were all delicious. The even have buffalo wings is different flavors, the BOMB!
For the beverages, they have these individual wine glasses that are sealed called Copa brand, they have your Merlot and Cab’s, they have beer on tap and bottles and then for soft drinks, instead of it being a soda fountain from your regular coca-​cola or Pepsi, they have a brand called Pucks, I never heard of it, but the fountain drinks were so good. They have 2 types of root beer, a sweet root beer and a regular root beer, both very good.
The staff was amazing! Very accommodating and super super friendly.
We will definitely be coming back here again, 5 stars to this pizza joint.

A wonderful big huge thank you to the amazing Italian Anthony S! I got my first invite to an elite Unilocal event by this great guy. I was able to attend with another friend Unilocaler, Dana K., who I may say is very much Elite material :)
As soon as we arrived we printed on our sticky name tags, signed our names on the check-​in clip board and posed for the camera. There was a nice photographer wondering around taking quick shots here and there. Once we entered the restaurant we found our party and got seated, the place was hopping with Unilocalers everywhere.
Dinner was served in a casual buffet style where you grab a plate and get in line. There was hardly any waiting and we were in and out in no time. We brought back to our table green salad with light Caesar dressing and a slice of vegetable pizza. All which was quite tasty and delicious, the roasted artichoke hearts added a nice flavor along side the other veggies.
Throughout the evening the servers and even the Unilocal coordinator Chelsea came by the tables offering various different kinds of pizza: cheese pizza, gluten free pizza, pesto pizza, pepperoni pizza and much more. Next came dessert! Oh boy what a display of delicious delights, Nutella banana pizza on a flaky sweet crust, mini cannolis and soft serve vanilla gelato. There definitely wasn’t any shortage of food, by the end of the night boxes and bags were filled with yummy left over goodies and handed out to all who wanted to take home more.
The atmosphere of Pizza Urban had a simple Italian feel with a little modern twist. The inside was clean, clutter free and nicely presented. The amount of décor was perfect, minimal and to the point. At times some businesses tend to overwhelm the walls with art, mirrors, posters, etc. and can detract from the food experience. The staff was attentive, friendly and very helpful. Overall I had a splendid experience, met new Unilocalers, tried new food and participated in a new first Unilocal event.

Many thanks to Brittany & Chelsea for a lovely summer pizza fest at Urban Pizza. Unilocal Elites were treated to salads, chicken wings, pizza, sodas, wines and desserts. We stuffed ourselves silly and waddled out of there, happy and content and planning the next day’s workout.

I have been wanting to try this place since it opened! Perfect event for me, 5 minutes from work, so you can say I was on time!
The place was quite nice inside, different than what I had expected. There was 2 salads, several different pizzas, wings and deserts to try. I can’t say I walked out of there hungry!
Ended up starting with a red wine (in a plastic to-​go cup, loved!), and a salad which had everything you could imagine in it (black olives, artichokes, cheese etc.), I personally did like the vinaigrette that it went with, nice to dip my crust into!
Started off with the following:
BBQ chicken: this was by far one of y favorites, it had a nice kick to it! All pizzas were thin crust (crispy)… gluten free options were also available.
Bostonian: Mediterranean style and my second favorite. I love toppings, so I couldn’t stay away. It had sun dried tomatoes, feta, kalamata olives, artichoke hearts, and my favorite, red onion.
Motor City: A meat lovers pizza!
South Beach: pineapple and ham, always a old time fan fav.
Windy City: mozzarella, gorgonzola, feta and parmesan topped with tomatoes.
Wings: not bad, but would have been better with a bit of spice, only had one of these (when it finally got to us… the food kept being served at the front first, boo) but eventually came its way towards us! yes!
Cannoli: crispy, great filling!
Dolcezza: I really enjoyed the nutella/​banana combo. I am not a huge sweets fan, but man the crunchiness of this was pretty awesome, I am a fan!
Gelato: (always free) was very good! Light and amazing.
Overall, thought I was extremely full, I left feeling like i didn’t even eat pizza! It was healthy, fresh and light!
The service was great. The staff did a great job keeping us full! Thank you to the staff, Brittany and Chelsea for a great time!

I was excited that yet again we had an event close to home. Pizza! Great. A cool new location that’s only been open for a short time. I loved the open feel to this restaurant and the cool décor.
We started off with a self serve green salad. Simple and nice. Ordered our drinks at the counter. Beer and wine was available two free drink tickets per person. Also a soda dispenser with several different flavors.
The pizza was served table side. I was able to sample a few of the varieties. I really enjoyed the veggie and pepperoni. Nice thin crust. I was able to have a bite of the BBQ chicken and it was spicy and good. I did not see that one come around again. Everyone working here was awesome and friendly. I would recommend this place to friends and family! Desserts were gelato, dessert pizza and cannoli. I was not a fan of the cannoli but the others were delicious.

What an awesome experience for my first Unilocal Elite event! I got to bring my brother in law with me & boy did we indulge ourselves. We went through 8 different styles of interesting and creative pizza options. We tried salads, deserts, wings, Gelato!
I left there so full, I took a nap lmao. The Staff was very Friendly and we got to talk to some of them. the manager was really helpful on giving us background information on the company and its future plans.
I had An amazing time & can’t wait to do another Unilocal Elite event! Thank Chelsea for giving me a couple Unilocal tips & introducing me to a few Unilocal members. If I am ever in the area & craving a yummy pizza, I know to come to Urban Pizza For Organic, build your pizzas & one of the best desert Pizzas I ever ate. It was so good!!!

I really enjoyed this Unilocal West event. Who doesn’t love freshly baked pizza and unlimited gelato?
The entire Urban staff was so hospitable! I tried about 5 different types of pizza, some wings, salads and a few desserts. I loved the crust and sauce on their pizzas. They are made fresh daily, so two thumbs up just for that. My favorites were the Windy City and Motor City. The wings were an added bonus. Barry, the manager, and the rest of the Urban staff made sure we were able to try their various pizza and chicken wing offerings.
To round out the meal, I tried a slice of the Dolcezza pizza. Normally I would pass on a dessert pizza but I can’t say no to Nutella. It paired perfectly with the soft serve vanilla gelato.
Overall I had a fabulous and filling time! I will definitely be visiting Urban again soon. Thank you to Brittany, Chelsea and Urban Pizza for planning and hosting this fabulous event!

Thanks to Brittany F., Chelsea P., and Urban Pizza, we enjoyed a wonderful evening full of pizza, salad, wings, gelato, and drinks!
They had me at the free gelato machine. I mean, who has that!!! THAT was awesome! Eating their gelato along with the banana nutella pizza was the highlight of my night, aside of course from seeing fellow Unilocalers — Gloria, Dana, Tora, Alan, and Marcelo — and snagging a cool Unilocal flask.
Urban pizza makes a crispy crust and their toppings are fresh and plentiful. My favorite pizza was the Motor City, which was a combination of sausage, salami, ham, beef meatball and pepperoni. I also tried the Bostonian with a pesto sauce base, kalamata olives, artichokes, onion, sundried tomato, and feta. The «South Beach» with mozzarella, ham, and pineapple was also good. I washed all of these delightful creations down with their cane sugar sodas — vanilla cream, lemon lime, cola, mandarin orange, and black cherry.
The staff at UP was so pleasant and inviting as they served pizzas and wings, even offering to-​go boxes for leftovers. Thanks to all for a wonderful time!

A Very Delicious Event and new friendships formed! Thank you Unilocal, Brittany and Chelsea, for yet again a well organized and fun outting. Excellent job ladies!
First off, This place is really easy to get to. Just off the 101 exit and a really nice stop if you’re driving from LA via 101N up towards Ventura or NOr-​Cal. Easy Parking in a grocery strip mall setting, right next door to a Trader Joe’s and plenty of gas stations around.
Once I arrived, I immediately found parking and was greeted by one of the employees with a big ol smile. The place was clean and in a great atmosphere that you can hold a conversation with a fellow guest. First thing I noticed was the hospitality. From Unilocal’s Chelsea sweet smile and welcome greeting to the employees who walked around passing out tasty appetizers of buffalo wings in 2 flavors. One was the traditional hot wings and the other was honey bbq! Everything was served warm and fresh. The pizzas, I don’t know where to start because there were so many flavors, vegan pizzas, gluten free pizzas and regular pizzas. Of course I had to try it all! The crust was crunchy, the vegetables tasted like it was just picked farm to table, and the meat toppings were seasoned perfectly. I have to say, normally when I think of gluten free pizza, I think of hard crunchy crackers, almost cardboard like — but this had the crunch and a tasty bread flavor. I’m hoping that the company expands to include CAULIFLOWER PIZZA — now that I would definitely go back for!!!
They had 2 different types of salads, 1 house salad and the other caesar. I’m not a fan of the dressing, but the home made croutons were excellent, crunchy and really great flavor.
The drinks? I don’t drink much but I noticed they had a variety of sodas, beer and wine wrapped up individualy.
My TOP 3 favorite parts of the night was 1. The dessert — Their specialty was the pizza dessert. I don’t remember the name but it tasted to me like flinstones cocoa puffs cereal. I don’t know exactly what’s in it, but it’s definitely a MUST EAT!!! 2. The Employees — they all super hospitable and so easy to talk to! They catered to us and made us all feel at ease for eating as much as we did and made it feel like home. And Barry, the manager was great to us all! Thank you! 3. The Vege pizza. I would return just to eat this again and again! Thank you Urban Pizza for having us! Truly fulfilling night of good food and newfound friends. I shall return!

Another great elite event! Pizza, pizza, and more pizza. From pepperoni to bbq, to some great dessert pizza which was banana and nutella. Great combinations and flavor to each pizza. They also had a great salad that went well with the pizza to add a little greens to our delights. The BBQ wings were also a great treat, as they had a flavor profile that you would not regret. To wash these wonderful offerings down, were some great soda and alcoholic choices. Barry, Kristina, and Chelsea did a great job at this event, and made it fun and enjoyable. Once again, Brittany and Chelsea made a hard job look easy.

(+) Who doesn’t love pizza? Who doesn’t love free pizza?!? And salad, soda, wings, gelato… what a meal. My favorite pizza was the South Beach (Hawaiian). Fun event, been so busy for awhile it’s nice to be able to make it out to one of these.
(+) Urban Pizza is unique in several ways. The create your own pizza idea is not a new concept, but they make their own dough and sauce everyday. Respect. I also like the variety of ingredients and that they serve wings too. And c’mon, the free gelato is not a bad thing either. I enjoyed the interesting flavors of the Puck’s soda like sugar cane cola, black cherry, mandarin orange, & vanilla cream as well.
(+) The honey bbq wings were delicious, tender, and the meat fell easily off the bone. I’d like to try some of their other flavors like sesame Thai or Spicy BBQ.
(+) Gelato is free. Every, single, day. Say wutttt. It looks like soft serve and has a smooth & creamy texture. It pairs well with the dessert pizza (a la mode!) and maybe even the soda, possibly a root beer float combo right?
(+) Friendly service, good company, and diggin’ the Unilocal swag with the flask. Cheers!

Pizza and salad up the ying yang! A very generous event! Super friendly folks by a large staff, rolled out the red carpet treatment for a fab time.
One by one, za was distributed — I, along with Sima, Lee, and Troy — gobbled it up. The BBQ wings were something special, I’ll have to go back for some more on my own.
I left as one fat and happy piggy boy.
